I came in on a Thursday afternoon to help a family member find a dress as a guest of a wedding with a formal dress code. We were greeted immediately when we entered. Our dress fairy, Samantha, deserves 5/5 stars. She was incredibly helpful and patient and continued to pull more options based on feedback. She was incredibly attentive. Once we found a dress we loved, Samantha left to ask her manager about it and was told that if we ordered today, it would take a full calendar month to arrive (since they happen to not have her size in stock). I went on their website and found the exact dress in her size in stock ready to ship. It will arrive in 2-3 business days. I find it odd that we were mislead about the delivery window. It's not a bridal dress. There is nothing custom about it. We also asked if they work on commission and they said no. So while they may utilize a different ordering system in store than consumers on their website, I can't imagine why nobody would mention the online self ordering option to us. We spoke with 2 other associates at the desk (who were also extremely helpful) but did not mention this to us at all. They did aid us in calling other store locations in search of a store that had the dress in stock in her size, albeit a different color than she wanted (as apparently not all colors are sold in store). We made our hesitation regarding the month long wait known. In all I was impressed with their selection for guest dresses, but unimpressed with their lack of in stock sizes. The price points seemed fairly reasonable for the quality. The staff were great, the store was clean, the dresses were beautiful - but not telling us "you can order that online!" deducted a star point for me. read more

My fiancé and I drove an HOUR to your Danbury location to shop for an engagement dress. We were excited and hopeful. After walking around for a while, we found a dress we really liked. An employee asked if we needed help and I politely said, "No, thank you." Not even a moment later, two employees came over, took the dress out of our hands, and told us we needed an appointment to shop. No kindness. No courtesy. Just an attitude that made it very clear we were not welcome. The way we were looked at and spoken to was beyond disrespectful. We were treated like we didn't belong there -- like we were some inconvenience instead of customers who drove an hour to support your business. My fiancé is literally in tears over how embarrassed and humiliated she felt. What should have been a special and exciting moment turned into something upsetting and degrading. Alterations are expensive and I understand that's how the seamstress makes money. However, she was honest about my fit and wasn't pushy to get anything done. I had a really great experience shopping for a wedding dress. I arrived for my appointment and had the opportunity to look through the rack to see if there was anything that interested me. The dresses are much more beautiful in person. The site truly does not do the inventory justice. Shortly after we began to look through the racks, we were joined by our associate, Pam. I told Pam what I had in mind and she picked out dresses that were just what I was looking for. She was extremely patient and had listened to my concerns. She was extremely attentive and went above and beyond to find me options such as long sleeves, on existing dresses. I did not end up getting a dress here but there were really stunning dresses. The fitting rooms were a little small but there were lots of mirrors outside of the rooms so that you're able to see yourself from all angles. Pam really did an amazing job. It's obvious that she understands her bride and looks to make her as happy as possible. I would recommend this location and recommend Pam. read more

I had an overall positive experience here. My good friend had her girls pick out their dresses in the color she picked. We all came as a group one day and that went smoothly. I was surprised that with such a large group we were all accommodated. I didn't get a dress that day so I had to come back. My second visit I had Anna helping me and she was super sweet and had a sense of humor which I really loved. It made me so much more comfortable. I had to come back a third time because a few months after getting my dress I needed a smaller size. When I got there to make an exchange again Anna helped me. I was also happy to see that they had no issue letting me exchange my dress even tho I had bought it a few months ago. Super happy with this location. The shipping time for bridesmaids dresses was pretty fast two. It took my dress maybe 3 weeks to arrive which compared to some other places- that's fast! The Walmart store of dresses! I came here to try on a bridesmaids dress for a wedding in Hawaii. Go figure they didn't have the dress. Something similar was there but not the one the bride wanted me to wear. If it wasn't for my daughter I would still be in the dressing room waiting for help. You still have to wear a mask even if you're fully vaccinated. The dressing rooms are absolutely filthy the dressing rooms at Victoria's Secret or 1000 times better than this dump. My daughter was talking to ME said this isn't like the TLC show. It was a A-B conversation and one of the workers heard that but not me asking for help. Then went off on my daughter about how great their store was. Then another employee joined in and mouthed off to the other employee "go get em". Now let me be clear, my daughter was talking to ME. My daughter honestly thought this was the store on TV and I had to correct her. We were not given service and I didn't buy anything. I hope those pitiful employees with bad matching make up look at their pitiful paychecks and think of the crappy service they give. My advice... Mind your business when personal conversation are going on. They listen to personal Conversations and when they hear something they don't like they jump out of nowhere and start mouthing off to you but when you're asking for help or looking at them as they walk by asking for help they don't hear that. read more

It's an ok store. I had a schedule appointment and was greeted upon arrival. I asked the greeter if she had a swatch of color I had picked for my maids of honor, in which she replied no. We stood in a dress area waiting a good 15 mins for our dress stylist to appear. She was just ok. A bit all over the place and kind of condescending jokes. Wasn't sure how to take her humor. I stopped into David's Bridal on Sunday hoping their tailor could take my measurements for an upcoming wedding I am in. Bridesmaid dresses are being made in India and there are additional measurements required that I needed a tailor's help with (none in the area were open). I walked into the establishment understanding that they may be unable to help me because I wasn't ordering a David's Bridal product. When I first walked in, I was told they could help me. A young girl proceeded to take me to the back to begin my measurements (she was awesome btw). It started feeling awkward because the ladies at the front podium were looking at me oddly and smirking or maybe they were confused. As the girl begins my measurements, a woman who I assume is the manager, Carla, walked over to us and began asking the girl taking my measurements what I was being measured for. She continued to say they only do standard David's Bridal measurements and anything that deviates from that cannot be done. Again, she's speaking to her colleague about me infront of me and not communicating with me directly even-though I was standing right there. I offered to pay for the measurements because I needed them done that day. Carla said they don't charge for measurements. She then said they cant take measurements that deviate from DB's standards in the instance that the measurements could be taken incorrectly. I said I would leave and she shook her head yes. Again, I understood walking into DB's that they may be unable to help me. I, however, did not expect to be treated so rudely especially mid-measurements. Carla was rude, lacked customer service, and was visible that she was on a power trip. I'm not sure if her problem was with me or the nice young girl taking my measurements but it was evident that she was unhappy and proved herself to be highly unprofessional. She was only willing to help me if I was going to give her a sale. I've worked in the client service industry for 5 years now, and I expect to be treated a certain way by professionals in the industry. I'm disappointed because I'm getting married soon and recently moved to CT. The store had dresses that peaked my interest and would be a great place to look for dresses for my girls and I. However, I refuse to spend my hard earned money at a place that can't staff efficiently. Carla and the girls at the front podium had mean girl energy and lacked professionalism. Silver lining though--I then went to Jos A Bank who specialize in men's clothing and tailoring. They directed me to David's Bridal and I told them what happened. They were shocked I was treated so rudely especially because they work directly with that David's Bridal staff for many formal events. Even though they specialize in men's clothing they happily took my measurements and it was a great experience. I was here a few weeks back on a Sunday with my best friend who is the bride to be and 3 other bridesmaids to try on dresses. Our sales associate I forgot her name (started with a K I believe?) was SO helpful and very patient as we are slightly indecisive lol. After myself and the other girls tried on dresses it was our brides turn, we were all very excited until the unimaginable happened! My best friend stepped into a bridal dress wrong and her knee swelled larger than a soft ball almost immediately!! We were all devastated as the hunt for her perfect dress had come to an end. The manager of this store was the SWEETEST, most kind hearted women I have ever met! (I was unable to catch her name due to all the commotion around us) Our bridal consultant and the manager sprung into action helping her out of the dress and doing everything possible to keep our bride comfortable. Our bridal consultant got an ice pack and tape, and since she couldn't get her boot back on the manager GAVE the bride her personal shoes!! With quick thinking skills we were able to get the bride quickly and safely to the car. I just want to say that I HIGHLY appreciate the staff here and everything they did for us this day!!!! I am extremely disappointed in this location. I am in two bridal parties this year and I have experienced nothing but shortcomings from my service in every appointment from dress fitting to alterations. My dress fitting was double booked with another customer and I received little to no attention from the employee, essentially having to help myself find dresses and sizes even though I had an appointment. Then I show up on time to my alterations appointment that I booked weeks in advance and received a personal confirmation call from the store, and because I was again double booked my appointment couldn't even start until another 45 minutes. It was even suggested I come back another day, which is extremely inconsiderate given I don't even live near this location and that the wedding is within 5 weeks. I have nothing bad to say about the employees themselves, they're doing their best in a bad situation. But double booking is not ok and should not by any means be a store policy. I wasn't even called ahead of time to be informed of this delay that they were aware of. Is this policy too, to further inconvenience their customers? Don't even bother going, you'd be wasting your time. read more

Of course the time that every bride looks forward to when they are engaged is the wedding dress shopping. The experience should be uplifting, enjoyable and memorable. When I went to David's Bridal for my FIRST EVER wedding dress experience I can say I was not satisfied. Compared to what other people say their experiences should be, my sales rep was pretty dry at first and seemed to not understand my ideal style of dresses. After helping me get the dresses on, she did become lighter and a joy to work with. I ended up finding a dress that I was in love with - rang the bell and did the whole thing which is why this review is not getting a 1 rating. However, there was a second dress I could not get my mind off. Therefore, I went home to look it up and order it since I knew my exact size from my fitting. I noticed the dress was $300 less than what I bought it for so I called the store and FIRST asked "Do you guys do price matches", the store manager instantly said yes of course. Then, when I explained how I bought the dress literally two hours ago, she stated to me "Yeah no, we cannot do that because you're on the larger size so your dress needs more fabric which is why the price is more." Taken aback is an understandment for how I felt as she subliminally called me fat. Now, I am no size 2 but wedding dresses run smaller and I am a thick girl. I felt extremely insulted and called the next nearest David's Bridal which said that I can come in there and she'll do it for me no problem. The manager was from the Orange CT store and the other store was so kind and sweet. She truly changed my emotions from crying to instantly happy. However, she told me I would need to call the Danbury store and have them refund my money. After my mom spoke to the Danbury manager, she put my mom on hold and I called the Orange CT David's Bridal manager to which she instantly put me on hold. So, I realized the two managers were speaking to each other. When she came back to the line, she decided to sing a different tune saying that she didn't realize it was the wrong dress she was pricing although SHE read me the stock number to compare. The foolishness the stores conducted left me so hurt and embarrassed. The one time I've been so excited to get a dress, I was humiliated and wasted time trying to SAVE the dress. I was able to get my refund and now I plan to take my business to a whole different company. If you're a curvy girl, just be careful they insult your beauty. read more

Hello, When my son and I walked in nobody greeted us, we waited for 15 minutes and nobody said anything to us. I was given the dress and then the girl that was helping me just walked away, she didn't even help me try on the dress. She didnt offer me any accessories to go along with the dress I had to walk around and pick them out on my own. I loved the dress but it was very wrinckled and looked worn out from all the different people trying it out. I was told that I had to purchase this dress because they can't give me a new dress, I asked if I can get a new one online she said no. I asked them to clean the dress and after 4 days I picked up the dress and it looked the same, this is the day before my wedding and I have no choice but to wear this dress now. I visited your the store in Miami and it was the total opposite people there were very nice and helpful. I'm very disappointed with the service, this is a very special day and I just hope this review helps improve the service for future brides. read more

Laughably bad (and very odd) experience here yesterday. One of my best friends is getting married this summer and I'm her maid of honor. We had tentatively chosen bridesmaid dresses but hadn't ordered them so we went back to David's Bridal to verify size and check out some of the new spring styles...just in case there was something we liked better. Yes, it was a Sunday, and yes, the store was busy. But it wasn't mobbed and there seemed to be plenty of people working. Our salesgirl was positively frantic. And pretty awkward and contentious to boot. She didn't bring us any of the dresses we asked for and fought us on color/size. While I was trying on one dress, she started digging around in the side of the dress I had on to find a tag for the style number. REALLY?! Really? Just wait a hot sec, ma'am. The whole experience was a weird mix between the salesgal being rude and apologizing profusely while running around like a chicken with her head cut off. Strange visit indeed, but I did find a dress! This lovely woman was so helpful and attentive with helping me find my special gown. Her and her team stayed a bit later to make sure I had everything and was all set. If you need help trying dresses on and suggestions for a dress ask for Lindsey. Now on to the next angel in the store, Cecelia was fabulous! She did the alterations on my beautiful gown and her assistant helped my Mom find jewelry that went perfectly with my dress. Once I came back in to try the dress on after the alterations, I could have cried it fit perfectly and looked amazing. They also rushed it for me because we needed the dress right away. This was officially the WORST David's bridal experience I have ever had. We walked in for our appointment with Stephanie and she was busy with finishing up with another appointment which was fine because we had time to browse. We shopped for both bridesmaid as well as brides dress and were just waiting on Stephanie to get us into a room. Eventually we just made our way to the bridesmaids fitting room on our own and went through all the dresses on our own. That was fine, we were more than capable of trying on and looking for sizes. Then Stephanie finally showed up and brought us to our brides fitting room. I don't know what her deal was but she kept disappearing and leaving us just standing there waiting for her. It looked like she had 2 other appointments going on at the same time which was beyond irritating. WE even helped the bride go through changes on our own! Then at the end, she actually tried to pressure us to all buy out dresses from her there and then. She literally mentioned her commission like 5x. And for what Stephanie!?? For your lack if being there?? No thanks. Oh and I almost forgot to mention, she screams across the fitting room. The other saleswomen in the store were great. Super sweet and attentive. I would not recommend the Danbury store. The employees are not very helpful. I went to the store for a fitting for bridesmaid dresses. We originally had 4 fitting rooms. A bridal party showed up without an appointment and our consultant put us into two dressing rooms to accommodate the new bridal party. Our consultant ended up spending all of her time with the other bridal party. After waiting 20 minutes for her to pull dresses, we had to pull our own. When we finally found a dress we wanted to order, we had to find a new consultant to help us. We found a consultant who was made it seem like we were bothering her with our order. Came by yesterday to get some dresses fitted for a wedding we are in in April. Brianne S. took care of us and must say, she was a ROCK STAR! So helpful, patient, sweet, and ready to run around and grab as many dresses as we wanted. She made this whole experience fun and not painful at all. This store definitely had at least one of each size for us to try on. If we wanted something off the mannequin, they did it. They answered all our questions and if they weren't 100% they would tell us but that they would get back to us with more information. Our appointment was at 3pm and they did not rush us at all, they wanted to make sure that we were fully ready to commit to the dress. Very great experience, enjoyable, and staff was absolutely great! I CAN NOT say enough about Amanda! I arrived early for my appointment and was waiting for my sister and niece to come and meet me. Amanda brought me in early so we could discuss what I was looking for and I told her that although I was pretty sure of what I wanted that I had never bought a wedding dress before so what did I know? I told her to bring me stuff from my favorites list as well as some that she suggested. She brought lots of great options and helping me in and out of them. I was told when I made the appointment that each consultant works with two brides at a time so I was prepared to not be fawned over. Even still, Amanda was consistently there, helping me in and out of dresses... At one point I asked her how much time I had left. She said "you have as much time as you need.". I had absolutely no intention of buying a dress today. And then Amanda brought the last dress out. It was one from my favorites list and COMPLETELY different from all the others I had tried on. When I walked out of the dressing room, my sister, niece and girlfriend were speechless. I turned and looked at myself and couldn't believe it. Amanda said that based on what I had told her that she was pretty sure this was going to be the dress for me so she saved it for last to let me see all the others first, smart girl. When I started crying she hugged me and told me she was happy for me. So, I will say that I'm sure not everyone has the same experience but I will say that my experience today was perfect for me. read more

I set an appointment on the same day I thought about trying on dresses and received confirmation right away. Upon arrival I was greeted well and all staff was wearing mask. I had the best consultant Lynda who helped me to a variety of dresses that I was able to go through and pick what I'd like to try on. I loved the fact that I could choose any dress and for a plus size 24 wearing women they had most dresses besides 1 that I would be able to try on. The shop was very clean and the dresses to. My over all experience was amazing. I got to FaceTime my family who resides in CA and I just had the most amazing time. I am completely disgusted with the service I received today looking for bridesmaids dresses. The associate did NOTHING. My 5 bridesmaids went through the racks looking for their sizes with no help. I showed the associate the styles I was interested in and she pointed to a rack and said "go find your sizes". My bridesmaids tried on the dresses that they found. I asked for belts and headbands and the associate said she was going to look for them. 20 minutes later still no sign of the associate. One of my bridesmaids went to get her attention and she came back asking if we had any questions. I reminded her that we asked for belts and headbands. She indicated they're were no headbands for bridesmaids, only brides. I indicated that we only needed to have an idea for the headbands and she rudely pointed us to the other side of the store. Once again she disappeared and we had to find her for her to measure my bridesmaids to order their dresses. Just to be clear, we were THE ONLY customers in the store. She pointed this fact out to us. I would be understanding if the store was busy but this was just a blatant disregard for their customers. I'm addition to this. I came here in August to try on bridal dresses. I was forced into dresses that I did not like and was being pressured into a dress that i did like. Once I said I was not interested in buying the gown, the associate was no where to be found! I hesitated to write this but I cannot stay silent. I ordered my rehearsal dinner gown in April (for June date) from this store in particular. The dress was guaranteed to arrive by May 18th and when the end of May came I had not been contacted the dress had arrived. I called and was told "oh yeah, we've had it in the back for a while now." I asked why I did not receive a call or email and the sales associate was not sure. Upon trying on my dress in store it looked wrinkled as if it had been thrown in a ball and taken out right before I arrived, also it was way too big and hanging off of me as I had been dieting and exercising, working my butt off for my wedding and honeymoon. When I initially ordered the dress the consultant convinced me to go two sizes up due to my bust but I had feared that the dress would be too large which is exactly what happened. I went to schedule an alterations appointment to which I was told "we don't have anything available for all of June." (this was a lie as I went online when I got home and scheduled an alterations appointment for the next week)They didn't really seem to care that no one contacted me when the dress actually came in and that now there was no way to get the dress altered. The worst part was the same consultant that told me to go with the larger size was also upfront and upon learning that the dress was way too big (hello!) said "OH YOU DIDN'T GET SMALLER, THE DRESS GOT LARGER!" (followed by laughing - she was the only one) I didn't even know what to say as I was in shock as was everyone else standing there. Come to find out this same consultant also entered my information in the system incorrectly which is the reason no one contacted me when the dress actually arrived. I was given three different dates as to when the dress actually arrived in store so I still have no idea. The only helpful associate checked to see if they had a smaller size in store for exchange but they did not. She told me to order the smaller size online and then return whichever dress I would not wear in store. I did just that and the smaller size fit perfect. I went to return the larger dress in store, explained the whole nightmare experience and the manager on duty could care less. She became argumentative with me when I explained the facts to her about what happened. I was in tears explaining the story and also having to deal with this less than a week before my wedding and rehearsal dinner. She could care less and kept explaining the policy is the policy, returns within seven days and how I was treated is justified. I asked her when the dress actually arrived and not only did she give me a fourth different arrival date, but also repeated the email address on file which was still wrong in the system. I explained it's not fair to me that I was not contacted when the dress came in, I had to order a second dress, and now I am not able to return the first dress. She just shrugged her shoulders and said the policy is the policy. She offered store credit to which I replied I will never shop in this store again after this experience. What if this had been my actual wedding dress and I was treated like that? With shoulder shrugs, a care less attitude, no contact, and body shaming! She said best bet would be to contact the store manager or corporate as there was nothing she could do. My now husband did contact the store manager that afternoon as I was too upset to do so. The store manager gave a fifth and different arrival date for the dress and the same nonsense that the manager on duty had given earlier that day. I now have to contact corporate to go over this horrible experience once again but have hesitated to do so. I have never been treated with such disrespect nor body shamed in the way that I was in this store. I worked retail for over ten years both as a store manager and also a sales associate and you do not treat anyone like this, ever! It still brings me to tears when I think about the whole experience. I visited David's Bridal in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and they were terrible and very pushy towards me. I was convinced that all David's Bridal shops were like this and I was convinced that I would never buy my wedding dress there. After failing to find my dress at four other shops, my mom convinced me to go to this David's Bridal, just to see if I could have a different experience. I certainly did! This was the best experience I've had while planning my wedding! I found my dress within an hour of my appointment. I got my dress within my budget as well! I'm so happy I gave David's a second chance. *Also, ask for Katherine. She made me feel amazing and special and was very attentive even though the store was very busy! read more

So dirty. Stains on carpets... and don't step foot into their bathrooms! Disgusting. The sales associate seemed to have little knowledge about the dresses and what styles came in which colors. read more
