The problem was that the pants had not been hemmed and were so long they were puddling over his shoes. They had said they would alter the pants but clearly hadn't done so. When my husband brought the suit in the very next day, they said it had been cleaned and altered so they would only give us half of what my son paid for the rental which was over $200. Thank goodness my son had a backup suit or it would have been disastrous. The clip-on tie is a joke and shows the quality of their merchandise.

However, my mind was immediately put at ease when my appointment started at the Plumed Serpent. Everyone was so friendly when my mom, my sister and I came in. We were shown to the dressing area and offered water (which they brought out in champagne flutes - so cute). Next to the couch there was a sign saying Reserved for Katie, which I thought was such a nice touch! The whole shop is bright, beautiful and clean. Krissy really made my whole appointment not only easy, but truly enjoyable. As I mentioned, I wasn't really looking forward to my appointment after my experience at a different shop, but Krissy completely turned my mood around. She made me feel comfortable and beautiful! She was cheerful, knowledgable, friendly and helpful. I really cannot speak highly enough of Krissy! At the beginning of my appointment, Krissy looked through my Pinterest board with me and asked about my budget. I appreciated that she was so respectful of my budget; she only pulled dresses that were within my price range. Krissy really understood what I was looking for just from the pictures I showed her. As I tried on each dress, she took my feedback and applied it in the next dress she'd show me. I was really impressed by her! At the end of my appointment I felt that I had found the dress I loved, but I wanted to sleep on it. Krissy was absolutely understanding of that and never pressured me to make a decision on the spot. I really appreciated that! The next morning I e-mailed Krissy to let her know I'd definitely found my perfect dress. She responded quickly and answered a few last questions I had. Now I can't wait to wear my dress on my wedding day! I would highly recommend The Plumed Serpent! I had a great experience thanks to Krissy!

She made sure my dress fit me perfectly for my big day, leaving me with zero worries. She even added multiple bustle options so I had choices depending on how I felt on my wedding day! All night I kept hearing compliments on how it looked like the dress was truly made for me. The amazing reviews convinced me that I should definitely make an appointment to try on dresses. Upon arriving, I thought that the shop was a lot smaller based on the outside. It didn't stand out much. BUT when I walked inside, the shop was beautiful. It was much bigger and had so many gorgeous dresses in all kinds of styles. Morgana assisted me and was very nice to work with. She was patient, attentive and I appreciated the one on one attention I received with her. I loved coming out in each dress because there was a runway with a large mirror. It really made the experience special. The shop only had one other customer inside, so I didn't feel rushed or over crowded. Morgana did not pressure me and explained the options I had. Most of their dresses could be altered to add sleeves. I would absolutely recommend Majesty to any bride. The experience was amazing and there were so many options. After browsing in here multiple times over the last few years, it seems to be the owner's decision to cater to tiny people, or else perhaps they bring in very few pieces in a true and ample 12 which sell out very fast. Yes, there were some seasonal ponchos today that would fit any size/ any height and separate tops that would work for multiple heights so long as you have thin arms and a minimal bust. Interestingly the one sales lady working today was trying hard to convince a 5 ft tall customer that the poncho was "perfect for her if she would drape it differently" and a bit of creative styling ensued. No, in truth it looked awful on this petite woman like she was trying to get out from under a big blanket. Well the customer had enough common sense to follow her instincts "this is not for me", despite urges from the saleslady to the contrary. I suspect the saleslady sensed big sale potential as many things were being tried on and talked about for Ms petite and her adult daughter as gifts. I however, was completely ignored. Meanwhile, I poked around on my own, never once asked what I was looking for, while the declassee gum-chomping saleslady catered exclusively to the other woman. While I was approached for her to take the two items I found into the dressing room, she never inquired how I was doing and even in my departing "good-bye, didn't stop talking to the other woman or bother to thank me for stopping in.
