We just left David's Bridal after a very unpleasant experience. I called ahead to see if we needed an appointment and was told no. We arrive, we sign in, and begin browsing for Grad dresses. After finding 4, we tried to find someone to open the fitting rooms. There was 1 customer in the store and 2 or 3 employees standing around chatting. One girl unlocked the door but didn't even take the dresses into the fitting room to hang up! After trying the dresses on, not one of the staff came over and asked how we were doing. I left quite disgusted. The prices are cheap compared to the 800 and 900 dresses we have been looking at but unless you want to purchase your dress, shoes, accessories and make your own alteration plans, I wouldn't waste my time, again. I purchased my wedding gown and 5 bridemaid dresses at Davids Bridal. Not only was the customer service horrible, heres a couple examples of our recent expereinces: My best friend was on the phone for over 2 hours just trying to order her dress from a rude immature sales lady. My maid of honour was shamed for the size she "wanted" to order, they proceeded to order what THEY wanted her to order and she had to reorder this when the error was caught by her. My Junior bridesmaids dress has only 1 side of the clasp at the top of the zipper (the hook with no loop to attach it to). They all knew their measurements and ordered the size appropriate to each of them. Every bridesmaid dress came in 2 sizes too big from what they ordered and I've been told by "Davids Bridal head office" that they will not cover any alteration charges, nor will they re-order the size my bridesmaids had ordered right from the start. My wedding is in less than 3 months and I'm frantically scattering to find seamstresses and pay double the price because of how much altering needs to be done on EVERY dress. I booked an appointment with David's Bridal based on a few dresses I had seen online. When I got there with my friend, we were greeted promptly and told our sales consultant would be right with us, which she was. I handed her a printout of a few dresses I had seen online and showed her one Vera Wang dress in the store that I wanted to try on. I told her I have no budget, which meant she could go to the highest priced ones in the store. I was rushed over to the fitting room where I tried on two dresses, both of which were not working for me. My sales consultant then went off to go and find some more dresses to try on, but somehow failed to mention that she was booked for another appointment at the same time. At least that's what I assume happened.She brought a dress, and busied herself with another group of people in the fitting room next to mine. My friend ended up going and pulling dresses while the sales consultant tried to jump between the two groups. I couldn't get her to help me in or out of dresses, which my friend also ended up doing, and then my friend also took dresses that didn't fit and put them away herself.. The comments I got during trying on the dresses from the consultant were that every dress looked gorgeous on me. I understand you are wanting to make a sale lady, but come on! I am not going to buy 2/3 dresses because you are buttering me up. I ended up being so frustrated that I left the store without wanting to come back. Walked in no appointment, great & friendly staff. I saw a dress I liked tried it on feel in love with it. I found out it was discontinued which wasn't an issue because the staff did everything they could to get me my dress in my size from another store. I would recommend going. I have been to other bridal store before here and found the other places rude and very unhelpful. I couldn't be happier with my dress from here. Thanks :) My first experience was great but got my alterations done and when I left I had a few things left so I had to take it to another alteration place to find out what I paid for hem was useless ! When myself and the other bridesmaids went to buy our dresses, the reps told us we needed to size up because all the dresses we tried in store have been stretched out. All but one of us took that advice and sized up to get our dresses and realize we need to take it in because they were too big. I had to take mine 2 inches. Frustrated that I had to get alterations because it's too big, I went to another place to get it done because David's bridal quoted alterations (taking in and hemming) would be close to the price of our $170 dresses!!! No! These wrinkle prone dresses are not worth more than $300! I feel like because of the quality, all together it shouldn't be worth more than $200 because that's how much I spent on my last silk, great quality bridesmaid dress plus alterations I got from another store for another wedding. Update on September 20th: so it has been well over five days since Darlene from David's bridal has left a comment AND I have sent an email to reach other to her. Initially I was pleasantly surprised she reached out to me in the comments, but disappointed yet again that David's bridal still fell apart in their service. But that being said, I have another story about the david's bridal story here in Calgary. The maid of honor in my friend's wedding party said that when she ordered her dress, David's bridal automatically keyed a larger size for her. She didn't know that until after she saw the receipt and required her signature. The sales staff would not change her size saying the transaction was already done so they had to call a manager to fix it. Luckily they did let her order the size she requested and when it came in, it fit without needing to take it in but no thanks to David's bridal for wanting to scam people for ridiculous amounts of alteration money Update April 2016: sorry much delayed update that I really should have written sooner. A group of us girls came to David's Bridal the first weekend of November 2017 for 5 of us girls to get bridesmaid dresses and for the bride to get a quote on alterations. 4 of us girls ended up ordering our dresses through them. The bride had called David's Bridal prior to our arrival in regards to alterations. When we arrived they refused to do alterations on her dress because she didn't get it from David's Bridal and the one who does the alterations told her "Well you didn't tell me it wasn't from here." That is your job. To ask your customers if its been purchased through you but unfortunately in her eyes it was not her job. She was very rude. When I ordered my dress I was told to keep the receipt because they will ask for proof of purchase when you come to pick up the dress. I got a call at the end of November stating my dress had arrived. Prior to this I received a voicemail from David's Bridal but did not check it as I assumed it was them letting me know my dress arrived. When I called I was on the phone for 30 minutes while they were trying to figure out if my dress came, by the end they told me it didn't come. I also called the same day the voicemail was left within a 10 minute time frame. So I immediately checked my voicemail right after getting off the phone with who I spoke with and it was the same girl that left me the voicemail that told me my dress wasn't in. So I called back and she told me I had to pick it up within a week. I did so. About 2 weeks after, the bride received a call from David's Bridal asking if I had picked up my dress...I am sorry is this not something that should be documented in your store by YOUR employees. Apparently not. So by that, they are allowing any joe blow to walk in and get your dress. Any who, I called them the next day and told them that I picked up my dress. They then AGAIN called the bride the following day asking the exact same question. Wow. I was shocked. For such a huge franchise they have the most unprofessional staff helping people out. Customer service is not key with them. On top of all of this, another bridesmaid ordered her dress the same weekend. 3 of us have all received our dresses but hers. So she called David's Bridal on Friday December 29 because they charged her visa the purchase of the dress. When she called they said it was never shipped because the purchase didn't go through. Obviously it did. The wedding is February 3, 2018. She now has to have her dress come in 2 sizes TO BIG. Going to be a completely different dress now. I recommend this place to absolutely no one! NO ONE! I have never been to such a high end franchise where the lack of common sense is diminished. This place doesn't even deserve a 1 star. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. You make an appointment to find your dream dress and you get 20 minutes (if you're lucky!) of the consultant's time. Bring your own chairs if more than 2 people are coming with you! They then go off to their next appointment and you're virtually on your own. Terrible service. Then, not only do you spend $1,000 +++ for your dream dress, you get the pleasure of PREpaying $450+++ for alterations. THEN you get to deal with some of the most miserable seamstresses for that premium price (one of them was lovely....she must be new). Stay FAR FAR away from this place. I made an appointment for Saturday early in the morning and the store was already busy around that time. I was extremely lucky because the lady helping me was extremely nice, and accommodating. Her name is Melinda. I showed her the styles of dresses that I wanted to try and she went around and grabbed the styles that she knew I would like. The dresses she picked out for me were very beautiful and all the dresses I tried on were exactly what I wanted. They were also within my budget and not once did she pick a dress that wasn't in my price range, which I thought was very considerate of her because I wouldn't wanna try on a dress and end up loving it but it ends up being extremely expensive. I ended up buying a dress the same day. I also appreciate the fact that Melinda was nice enough to give me tips on how I can save money on the wedding dress. After my experience with Melinda at David's Bridal, I will definitely recommend this bridal shop to everyone. Here are a few tips: make sure you have an idea and pictures of what types of dresses you want to try on, make an appointment (follow up as well), bring heels that you plan to wear with the dress, and have a budget in mind. read more

Worst experience! We were given a one hour appointment for 5 bridesmaids to find a dress. The consultant was very disorganized and did not appear to know what she was doing. One tiny change room available for 5 women. Given a 20 minute warning that our appointment was coming to an end and we needed to wrap up. It was suggested that we come at a more convenient time for them, like during the week. I have been to a few bridal stores with my daughters and this was by far the worst experience. Went here today with my niece and her 5 bridesmaids. These ladies are all young professionals who own businesses, etc. The selection of dresses is about the only reason to go here. The customer service was terrible. Our expectation was to have someone work with the bride to ensure the bridesmaids had the right sizes and someone to answer questions. Tannis was assigned to our group and was really only around to write up orders and collect money. The bride was thoughtful enough to make the necessary appointment and let the staff know ahead of time it was a bit larger group. Bride was not told she would only have an hour or that she would only be allotted 2 change rooms for 5 ladies. Thankfully brides mother and mother in law were there to help organize, etc. This was overall not the wonderful experience we hoped for. read more

I had planned a weekend trip to Calgary to shop for my wedding dress and was able to make a dress fitting appt last minute on a friday afternoon. We were greeted by a friendly associate and welcomed to browse the dresses while the girl assigned to help me was able to meet. They also had an ipad with all the dresses that was very helpful to get an idea of the selection without going through them all on the racks. I just wrote down the dress number and easy peasy! Shayla was my associate and she was awesome! Super friendly and helpful. She assisted me with every dress, zipping me up, and offering tips and info as needed. I found an amazing dress but since this was one of the first stores i had been to i wanted a day or so to keep looking and think on it but i knew i'd be flying home in two days so i made another appt with someone working there, letting them know that i'd like to come back on sunday and give it some thought- no problem. I show up for my appt on sunday knowing that i definetly wanted to buy that dress and i had a bit of extra time so i went 2 hours early and asked if it was possible to have my appt now rather than in a couple hours, they said that was okay and assigned me to Jessica. Right away i told Jessica that i loved the dress, wanna buy it but just get boob cups sewn in it. She was such a cow giving me attitude right from the start. She says well you need an alteration appt not a fitting appt and i said "and how am i supposed to know there is such a thing?"- an appt is an appt! Then she continues to tell me that since my wedding is in 4 months theres no way that it will be done in time. Really- sewing in two bra cups takes 4 months??? Super rude. Let me add that she was talking down to me in front of a group of girls that were trying on dresses. Brutal customer service. I asked her if i can speak with Shayla since i saw her when i arrived and she was so helpful on friday. I explain to Shayla and immediately she says i understand, let me talk to my manager and see if we can get you in alterations. Awesome! The manager Nicole comes by and says no problem. Jessica grabs my dress and says i'll bring it over to that dept so we follow her there and she leaves the dress by the till and takes off, not even a word and NOT at the alterations area so we stand there for at least 20 minutes wondering what the hell to do. Finally Nicole notices and finds the dress and brings us into the fitting and i'm good to go within 10 minutes. The only reason i'm giving this 3 stars is cause Jessica and if i had her on friday helping me there's NO WAY in hell i would of purchased the dress. She really needs some customer service skills- just BRUTAL!!!!. I however love my dress and am super thankful for Shayla and Nicoles assistance and i got a great deal :) read more

I went to the new Calgary store it seemed extremely clean, bright and spacious. I found our sales consultant fantastic she was incredibly friendly and helpful not too knowledgeable about all the dresses unfortunately but made up for it with her enthusiasm. The manager stopped by a few times to check we were all aright and everything was going well and the alterations manager even came out to introduce herself and talk with us. I also love that you can purchase a swatch of fabric (of reasonable size too), it makes purchasing accessories and coordinating in general a breeze. It's a shame their receptionist is so foul; I have never had such poor customer service in my life. I almost cancelled the appointment and took all 5 of my bridesmaids elsewhere! I'm not saying the customer is always right but is arguing with them over a request to have a note put on file really a good idea? Informing a bride "All our dresses come in every colour" when that is most definitely not true also a very bad idea and finally explaining there was nothing on my file so she "didn't know"... Ummm I believe I gave you that fully completed questionnaire last time I was in. Sigh. Will stores ever learn that a sullen, argumentative, rude and ill informed receptionist is perhaps the quickest way to lose a customer? Definitely worth a visit great quality dresses for extremely reasonable prices and if you can put up with the receptionist it only gets better after that. read more

This place seemed promising at first, lots of selection and lots of different styles and sizes but, 45 minutes for a bridesmaid appointment is not enough especially if you get no help. Our appointment was at 7, at the time the store said it closed at 9 but they said it closed at 8. At 815 we had one more dress we wanted to try on but they kicked us out, insisting we book another appointment and that their lights were on a timer and about to go out... working in retail i know that is a lie.. also from working in retail i know to never kick the customer out when they are unfinished. we only needed 15 more minutes and we probably would have made a decision and left with them with a sale. Now i will probably not go back. I felt extremely disrespected and lied to and a business should not be run this way... DO NOT RECOMMEND!! read more

If you want a cheap dress and can find what you want on your own, then David's Bridal is for you. I guess it doesn't have to be a cheap dress, they do carry lots of designers and I am sure you can spend a fortune. What the underlying comment is, prepare to have to direct your appointment yourself. I arrived promptly at 10 am for my appointment, the first one of the day. I had to fill out a form and then sit down until someone was ready (apparently they aren't ready for people to be on time), then I was toured around the store just incase I needed to buy the other things they offer and finally we got to talking about what I wanted in a dress. Now we are a good 15-20 minutes into my appointment. By the time I was in a dress I liked, my consultant had already started her next appointment. I found their staff inattentive and just interested in the sale. Their sample dresses were all quite small too, so if you are more than a size 8, prepare to be disappointed. If you decide to buy a David's Bridal dress, DO NOT get it altered there. I was pleased with the service on the day that I bought my dress; however, my experience went downhill quickly after that. The first problem was that the dress size ordered was way too big; therefore, it required alterations. I decided to get the alterations done at David's Bridal since it was convenient. After the initial fitting, I was charged $300 for all of the changes that needed to be made. I paid the amount and was assured that the changes made would be all that I need to make the dress look good. I went back for the second (and supposedly final) fitting and the dress looked horrible. The cups were a mess and they hemmed the dress without properly measuring/fitting/altering the shoulders. Then they told me that the shoulders needed to be fixed and that this was going to be an extra cost. When they explained how they were going to fix the shoulders, it didn't make sense, as they already hemmed the dress to the perfect length. I talked to the manager about my concerns regarding the extra cost after already paying $300 as well as my concerns regarding how they would make the dress fit properly after they had made a measuring/altering mistake. The manager (along with the employees) DID NOT CARE AT ALL. The manager failed to understand my concerns and had zero empathy or understanding for the gravity of the situation (this was my wedding dress, after all, and the wedding date was fast approaching). On top of all of this, they gave me the wrong veil and it had to be exchanged. They were unapologetic and rude. I ended up taking my dress from David's Bridal (I didn't want them to touch it again) to get it altered at Ingenuity Couture. The team at Ingenuity Couture did an amazing job fixing the huge mess that David's Bridal made. My 1-star rating is based on the fact that David's Bridal made an experience that was supposed to be special unnecessarily difficult, frustrating, expensive, and disappointing. read more

Awful experience. Went to try on bridesmaid dresses and we were given zero help unless we asked them for it. Only started helping when they wanted us to leave. They wasted our time by letting us try on dresses that didn't come in the brides colour. At Jessica's bridal they were amazing and so helpful. Day and night experience. Then we were told their lights were on a timer so we had to leave even though we had ONE dress left to try on. I've worked retail for years and 1. You don't tell your customers to leave ever! And 2. There is no timer.. that's an excuse to make people leave. Even if there was it's a timer... lights can be turned back on manually. Horrible service. Definitely lost our business. read more

The initial consultation went amazing. My consultant was wonderful and extremely helpful and I found the dress of my dreams. The dress fit like a glove however it needed a slight alteration. The first alteration appointment, I mentioned it was gathering a bit under my bust and it needed to be taken out slightly. She told me she would take it out around the hips because "it made my belly look round" (my dress is a size 4). Went I went back for my fitting, the dress was loose and still gathering under my bust but the girl insisted that it just need to be steamed and let my dress leave the store this way. I took it home and tried it on again and was not happy that it was still gathering. I took it back a couple days later for another fitting and she said she would fix where it was gathering. I went back in the following week and the dress was now a size too big. She told me that all she did was use my original measurements. Not sure why she took out the entire dress when it was only gathering in one spot. I told her it needed to be taken back in and she said that she didn't want to do too much because "its not supposed to be form fitting as it is an A-line dress" (My dress is mermaid style). My dress is lace and was falling apart from doing the wrong alterations. And looking at it, you could tell it was a rush job. The dress didn't even sit straight on my body, it was totally crooked. The only good thing that came out of this was they gave me a brand new dress. I will be taking it somewhere else for alterations. And would never recommend that anyone ever let them touch your dress. read more

Let's be clear, this place is a dump. I was in the market for a wedding dress that was around $1500, so I thought I would give it a try. Big mistake; our experience was terrible. To sum it up, the staff is comprised of a bunch of idiots, most of whom seem to claim to be 'managers'. I booked an appointment, and had someone bring me a selection of dresses that had little to do with what I described. I was still, however, able to select 3 dresses that I was very interested in and wanted to come back to try once more before ordering. All three of the dresses were at the 'top end' of what they offer ( which frankly doesn't say much). The sales girl at this point was at least sweet and helpful. I asked if I could make another appointment so I could come back to try them on again with my sister, whose opinion was important to me. She said 'no problem, your appointment's at 8pm, I have put your dresses aside so they will be easy to locate and your chart has everything we talked about written down!' AWESOME. Except, none of that was true. When I came back at 8pm with my sister, a 'manager' told me that my appointment was for bridal party dresses (?), and that they would never put dresses aside as was described to me only hours earlier. At this point she pretty much accused me of lying about what had happened earlier. She then went on to lecture me about how I didn't actually have an appointment, as if I had somehow screwed the process up. When I said 'well I don't know what happened because someone told us to come back at 8. But, we are here, so could you help us anyway?', she moronically just repeated that i didn't have an appointment, she didn't know/care who I had talked to earlier, and that all bridal gown appointments were 90 minutes and I had come with *only* 60 minutes before the store closed so thus nobody could help. Uh....what?. I was as polite as I could be, but honestly this girl was so rude it was laughable. I was so stunned and insulted by her attitude that we just left, though I wanted to punch her. When I walked in I was ready to purchase one of the three dresses I had put aside, but I left imagining kicking all the shitty mannequins over. Ugh. I do not recommend this place...even if you are on a super tight budget, look at other options!!! The staff( or at least the management) is lazy, stupid and full of attitude. Not worth it! read more

I went to David's bridal on a weekday during the afternoon which was fairly dead, momentarily we were introduced to my consultant Keeley, she was really friendly and brought my group and I over to the fitting rooms, she asked me a few questions about my wedding and what I was looking for. I showed her a few pictures of what I was looking for and instantly she said she has a good idea of what I want now. She instructed that I grab my top 3 favourite gowns, being with a fairly large group of close friends and family, they wanted to pull dresses too. She checked up on us in a few short minutes and told us that we have enough to get started, Initially my group and I were kind of annoyed that she didn't bring over all the dresses that we have picked out. She got me started in the room trying on some dresses right away. Every time I came out she would ask me questions about the dress and then when I was ready she would hand me the next one. By the third or fourth dress she was bringing over her own picks, the dresses she picked out were exactly what I was looking for! By the 6th dress I was certain that out of my top 2 favourites I have found my dress, she put me back into the room and got me to retry the top 2 on back to back. I was really torn between the two so me and my group called it a day but she gave me a card and booked me in to come back to make a decision when I have had time to think. Unfortunately when I came back alone it wasn't the greatest experience it was a busy evening and my new consultant was running around with her head cut off, when I chose my dress they asked me to ring the bell (which I did not) and then my consultant was back to running around again before she could ring me through, being alone I was a little antsy maybe it wouldn't seem so terrible if I had company. Overall, it was a great experience considering it was my first time going dress shopping. I recommend going at a less busy time the staff is super friendly but not very helpful when they appear under stress. read more

Since my mother leaves for Paris in a few days we decided to go to the Calgary store to have a look at dresses without an appointment. I introduced myself to the welcome staff and mentioned that I was not able to book an appointment but that I was interested in taking a look at some dresses. They were friendly and welcoming at that point. I then proceeded to try on a few of the Vera Wang White collection dresses. Two different sales ladies assisted us from time to time. After about 15 minutes I left the change room to select a different dress from the Signature collection and that is when the manager (whom I believe was named Laurie but it is difficult to say as she was not wearing a name tag and she did not properly introduced herself) proceeded to rudely address me and refused to allow me to try on another dress. Her tone was extremely rude, she was not helpful and she made my mother and I feel like second class citizens. She said that there were available spots later in the day should we choose to make an appointment. That statement struck me as I was informed 24 hours prior that they were completely booked. Furthermore, when I initially attempted to make the appointment I was told that I could come in but that I was not guaranteed a changing room. Since I was given a change room I assumed that I could try on dresses. The manager then proceeded to tell me that I was forbidden from trying on bridal gowns without an appointment. This policy is not clearly stated on the website nor was it communicated to me on the phone the day before or by the welcome staff at the front of the store. Wedding dress shopping should be a happy and joyous occasion. However, the lack of professionalism of the Calgary Manager on shift on Sunday, September 8th was so horrible that I would like an apology from her personally. I am also extremely hesitant to shop at any other David's Bridal locations. I am also unwilling to recommend David's Bridal in the future. read more

I would suggest going during the week because I made an appointment on a Saturday and was told that one consultant would be helping 2 brides at a time find their dream dress. How are they supposed to do that in 1 hour. All of their dresses are under $1,500 so if you are on budget and don't mind dealing with poor service and putting dresses on in a long hall way crammed with people then I suppose you are okay to go there. read more

I found my experience at Davids to not be very good at all. I went on a Saturday and it was chaos. The bride in the room next to me had 11 people with her. The room on the other side had 6 with 2 little kids. My consultant could have cared less . This was my first try on and I am 7 months to the wedding and was told by the consultant that if I did not find my dress that day I would not get it in time.ni have come to learn this was not true. The fitting room was filthy and one dress in particular I tried on was so dirty and stank of BO. I liked one of the dresses so I went to Edmonton with higher hopes of sevice and was blown away. read more

I chose to look into Davids Bridal only because one of my best friends who got married had an amazing experience! I was a bridesmaid for her wedding and we got champagne, the consultant was on time, and brought her a lot of dresses to try on. My experience, complete opposite. We showed up a little early so we decided to look at bridesmaid dresses just to get a head start.. the lady at the front said she would let our consultant know we are here. 30 minutes later, nothing. I went back up and all of a sudden my consultant was here at the same time. I think the first lady I spoke to forgot to tell our consultant we were inside. So that being said and done, it was okay we went on with it. No champagne, no special treatment, no feeling of being a bride and being excited to get my dress. I tried on 3 gowns and was so annoyed with the organization I left. I think if you are looking for the experience, David's is not the place to go.. maybe try Novia Mia as that is the only place I went to that day that made me feel excited. read more

The service is terrible, the place is filthy, and there is little enthusiasm from the staff considering this is the special day of your life. To start, we arrived on time for our appointment and they called our consultant over the intercom-having to do it many times. While we stood there waiting, two employees stood in front of us at the desk speaking to one another in another language. Rude! She finally arrived with us 15 minutes after initially being called! No apologies were offered and she sat us in an area that was filthy. After asking what type of dresses I was interested in she continually brought me dresses that did not cover those requests. The change rooms are small, had lots of lint on the floor and no place to sit! She brought me dresses but didn't bother to help me in or out of them and only occasionally helped me do them up. I had told her I needed a dress with sleeves but she continually brought me sleeveless dresses telling me about changes that could be made to get some sleeves. She never welcomed us to look through the racks and pick out dresses. I found two or three dresses that might be suitable and after being there for an hour and a half she said informed me that our appointment was over and she had to go greet another bride! Never had I been told that there was a time limit on the appointment! When I expressed my dissatisfaction she offered to take the new bride but still bring me dresses to look at. We never saw her again! Finally the manager came over to see how we were doing and we expressed our great dissatisfaction. It was the difference of night and day. The manager brought me exactly the style of dresses I wanted and it wasn't long before I found the one that made me feel so special. The price was great too! I know my dress will need alterations though and after reading some of the other reviews I'm a little nervous as to how that will go since our appointment really wasn't a pleasant experience. Oh, and if you tend to get thirsty within a two hour period, remember to bring your own water! They have a water fountain on the very far side of the store with no cups and that requires you to dragging your long dress across a filthy carpet walking a fair distance! read more

Terrible service! I walked in and no one came to greet me at the welcome desk or say hi. Receptionist was on the phone and didn't glance at me. There was no one there to help me. I just looked at dresses for a few minutes and walked out. They also walked by me and didn't even say anything or asked if I needed help. I was there on a Saturday and it was so full that one sales person had to take care of 3 or more brides, terrible service, so I decided to make another appointment for a week day, so i when there for the second time just to find out that the dress i liked was more expensive $$$$ they knew that i was there just a few weeks before and that i left because it was overcrowded but they did nothing to help me, they did not respect the price that they show me the first time !!!! It was terrible :( I felt so bad, it's the first time that i spend $1200 for a dress and the service they gave me, didn't help at all. I would strongly recommend to all of you that are reading this, to find another store where they make you feel the way you're suppose to feel when you buy your wedding dress. read more

NEVER RECOMMEND THIS STORE TO ANYONE..........The service was terrible with very low quality dresses. Taylor was our girl from David's. She showed us the changing room and basically that was it. She was no where to be found. We explained what we were looking for and also brought pictures with us. She said with an attitude "Did you want me to pull you dresses or just go look your self". Needless to say we found 2 dresses to try on which weren't even close to the pictures we brought. Tried them on and left the store within 30 minutes. I would never go back. We were happy to find an amazing lady who helped us at another store later that day. read more

This was my very first wedding dress shopping experience so I don' have anything to compare it to. For my first time I have to say I had a great experience. I was paired up with Mikayla and she was just fantastic. She gave me lots of options but was still able to stay with in my budget. I also felt no pressure which is huge for me. They were very accomodating as I drove in from Kimberley, B.C. and I didn't have a lot of time. They were able to get me in for alterations the next day which allowed me to get back to Kimberley. Instead of driving in three times this month I only have to drive in one more time. So overall my experience at Davids Bridal was a pleasant one. From the low pressure sales lady, great selection of dresses and over all experience I would recommend Davids Bridal. read more

My dress shopping experience was so so. The girl didn't help much because she was too busy with another bride next to me. however, ALTERATIONS was BAD !!! the lady (with an accent) was super rude and argues and didn't know what she was doing. the more they alter my dress, the worse it looked!!!!!!!!!! it took them 5 times to make it right which they charged me all 5 times. i was VERY mad as they charge me for their mistakes. DON't tell your alterations done here. go somewhere else where they actually care about you!! read more

One month ago, I went to David's to look for my Brides maids dresses. Now' just a heads up' Myself and my bridesmaids are full of ink, so instantly we were stared at by all the other customers including the staff. We ended up standing there waiting for 15 minutes for someone to come see us (now this is after we checked in for our appointment). Finally, when the associate did come see us, she seemed "blah" to be working with us, or to be there at ALL. Thankfully' I have such an amazing Mom' who graciously took over finding dresses and we continued on our OWN with the fittings and dress experience. Not once' did someone ask if we needed "help" with anything until we found what we were looking for. I had my 8 years old daughter with me, and she was very excited to try on dresses too. Again, My Mom went and grabbed all the dresses they had in the store for her tiny size. Reese ( my daughter ) tried all of them on, WITH still No help from anyone aside from a lady walking by a few times to make sure maybe we were not stealing anything" .... ( not sure if she actually thought that, but she was rude and an odd ball) Needless to say, I found a dress or two and registered them,. Horrible Idea! WHAT A MISTAKE TO GO BACK FOR MY WEDDING DRESS !!! (I think I may have been dropped on my head as a small child, because I apparently like to torture my self)....... So once again we got there and waited. The attendant who came to work with us was monotone and unimpressed to be there just as the first. She asked me briefly about my wedding, and the venue ?? (not sure what that has to do with my dress ??) then she left. She was gone a very long time to come back with terrible dresses AND barely spoke to me the ENTIRE time except............. "Oh I need those" ( referring to the clips). After about 45 mins into the appointment she brought a dress I absolutely liked. It was closer to what I had asked for at the beginning. I tired it on and LOVED it. I had a few questions regarding the dress but she had nothing really to say except " it would take 5 months to order it in and one month for alterations." When I came out of the fitting room in my street clothes, she was gone AGAIN!. I still had another 25 minutes left in my appointment and she had already started with another bride! And I still had some questions!!!! She looked over at me TWICE and continued to proceed with the other party, I was SHOCKED! So' naturally my Mother continued as she did the first time and found out what we needed to know about the dress prior to leaving once again, Seriously disappointing.,... !!!!! For these MANY MANY reasons' I am not going to purchase the dress I so very loved!!! I would rather pay more money for a wonderful appointment with fantastic service then Shitty service, or stand there SHOCKED, when this day is supposed to be one of the most amazing experiences in my life . They will never have my business again , and I will never encourage ANYONE to go there! They should be ashamed of their services and maybe if they HIRED experienced associates they would sell a lot more dresses!!! read more

If you are looking for a stress free wedding do not go to Davids Bridal... While I went to look for my wedding dress they ladies were not very helpful, and as I was having no luck finding THE dress the girl looked at me and told me not to bother trying on the rest then because they would all be the same. Needless to say I gave up and called it a day. Next came the brides maid dresses, so many stores had the exact same dress that I wanted, however Davids had the colour so I assumed things would be good because what can go wrong with this, it was May my wedding in August there was plenty of time. So the girls start ordering their dresses and Davids apparently had no record of them being ordered, next I took my final bridesmaid for her dress and we had to wait 1 HOUR for someone to come for 30 seconds take her measurements and let us pay for the dress. I gave up being angry until my first bridesmaid dress came in and was a full size too small for her! Call up Davids Bridal, No Problem they say, come in and we can exchange it... Great BUT they dont have the size my bridesmaid needs in stock in ANY of their locations... Now What? They have now ordered a full size larger than what she needs and she will have to get it taken in on top of already needing alterations... Davids Bridal informed me the best case scenario is a 3 week turn around... Dress wont be in until 2 weeks before my wedding and that is at best! I am still waiting and my wedding is 3 weeks away, I'm praying they get this sorted out soon! BRIDES BEWARE! read more
