I have had the absolute worst experience with this store!!! We ordered my daughters grad dress here. When we went into the store to pick up our dress the sales clerk made a "joke" that they almost sold the dress to someone else. As soon as my daughter had her dress on I noticed 4 little stains on the right front side. Kind of where your hand would fall on the dress. I now have no doubt that someone else tried on my daughters dress. After pointing it out to several sales associates the owner came over. He told my daughter to take the dress off and he can spot clean it. After 30 minutes he brings the dress back out and explained that the stains were gone. There was a little bit of special cleaning solution left on the dress but as soon as it dried it would be fine. He also assured me that if there were any issues to bring the dress back in. A few days later my daughter and I took the dress to the seamstress to have the straps shortened and to hem the dress. Right away the seamstress pointed out there were water rings on the dress from the spot cleaning. I contacted the store, they asked that I bring it back in to be cleaned. Once in the store they confirmed they would have the dress dry cleaned. The clerk even phoned the owner to confirm this for me. I picked up the dress several days later. The dress was all wrinkled in the bag. I asked the girl how the dress was cleaned. She assumed that it was washed by owners not dry cleaned! She did offer to steam the dress, but I declined since i still needed to have the alterations done on the dress. My daughter tried on the dress without my help for a minute or two to pick out a belt. I should have paid more attention then and my daughter did not speak up cause she was already so stressed out by the dress. Next day we took the dress back to seamstress who right away noticed the dress was not zipping up like it did a week ago. The dress has SHRUNK!!!! Straps that needed 2.5 inches shortened now only needed half an inch. My daughter now had skin bulging over the dress because it is so tight on her. The waist is riding up on her. The zipper has fabric puckering on each side. Once again contacted the store. They told me that they washed the dress, because I asked them too. I never asked for it to be washed, i asked for it to be dry cleaned! They tried to explain to me that you should never take a satin dress to dry cleaners... not to sure about that. Finally after much arguing they offered to cover all my alterations cost. However I had to use their seamstress. There is no way I'd let them take scissors to this dress after what i had already gone through. I explained that it being 7 days out from my daughters grad, that I had lost all trust. I would get them a quote for my seamstress. The manager agreed. However the next morning now 6 days out he explained that they had done everything trying to help me out, since my daughter told them she got deodorant on the dress in the first place!!!! What the hell?! This was never once said by my daughter. Never mind the fact I have emails with them that say the dress came in with stains!!!! Or the fact that to put on this dress you need to step into it, how the hell would her armpits get to below the hip area!! And at 6 days before her grad they would offer me a refund, fully knowing there would be no way for me to get her a new dress. The only thing this store cares about is your money!!!! What should be such an exciting time for my daughter has now become a huge stress. I feel absolutely sick that this store had my business and money. And if it had been my dress regardless of how much I needed it, I would have returned it. But i can't do that to my daughter. This was her dream dress and we just need to make the best of it. read more
