Nestled away in a little strip mall not far from Chinook lies Jessica (Belle Rykiss) Bridal. My friend who was searching for her wedding dress landed here after being told what she envisioned didn't exist and she should just get a white bridesmaid's dress. The dress that ended up catching her eye was part of the Mori Lee Blue line, which Ethos carries as well. After making an appointment at Ethos to try on that particular dress which ended in disaster, she found that Jessica Bridal also carried the line and style she was looking for. She made her appointment and as one of her faithful bridesmaids we followed her into the wedding den. As we took off our shoes, the bride-to-be was greeted by her consultant, who was lovely. She never pressured the bride on the purchase and us as bridesmaids were not being ushered into fittings rooms to try on dresses as well. We got to take our time which was so important, I hate being rushed! The shop can accommodate max 5 different appointments at once, with their 5 fitting rooms. When we were there, a girl was searching for her grad dress and another bride came in as we were nearing the end of our time there. I love how this doesn't feel like a bridal factory, where people are being churned out of rooms faster then you can say "organza". The trip back for the bride's fitting was also great as one of the other bridesmaids ended up being 40 minutes late. They let us hang about and have her parade around in her wedding dress throughout the store. The alterations they did were great and the best part was the dress she got was cheaper here than at Ethos! I went to Jessica Bridal with my mom and without an appointment on a Tuesday morning. I hadn't tried any dresses on yet and had only a vague idea of what I wanted. To make things worse I had exactly two months until my wedding! I chose to visit Jessica Bridal first based on the reviews here on Yelp and I;m sure glad I did! We were greeted right away by Alaina who said we were fine to shop without an appointment. She informed me that because my date was so soon I would not be able to order anything in and would have to stick to dresses that were already in store in my size. I already knew this would be necessary. Alaina was very knowledgable about the extent to which certain dresses could be altered to fit me if they were a bit too big or small on the rack. She asked me what styles I had in mind and since I didn't really know what I wanted she offered to pull a few styles to get me started. She also told my mom and I to go ahead and pull any dresses we wanted to try, which was nice. Alaina really made the experience great! She was there to zip/lace/button up every dress and made lots of helpful suggestions about alterations and flattering styles, but wasn't pushy or gushy at all. She was very patient and made me feel like I had all the time in the world to try on dresses. And not once did she suggest a dress that was over my budget. Got my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses here. I always received exceptional customer service, the ladies knew me by name by the last time I visited the store. My dress came in much earlier than anticipated and they were totally okay holding it in the store to wait till my mom could pay for it since it was so early. They let me come visit and try on my dress whenever I wanted. Their seamstress does an incredible job!! When I went in to look at dresses I had already fallen in love with a dress at Ethos. Jessica carried the same brand but didn't have the dress in the store, once I decided that was the dress I wanted Jessica bridal was able to order my dress for MUCH less than the price tag at Ethos. Went to Jessica's bridal today with my brothers fiance, WORST CUNTSULTANT EVER. She was a total bitch, rude, condescending and just not a nice person to try and work with. First of all, they said we were late for our appointment (we weren't), and then she DID NOT listen to a word the bride to be was saying, and kept telling her to keep things on her list that she had already stated she did not want. The thing that pissed me off the most, was when the B.2.B. asked if the neckline could be altered as it looked weird with the thickness of the straps. Instead of taking her to the dressing room to take her arms out, and fold the top down to avoid possibly exposing the B.2.B. she did it right there (there were males in the room). Needless to say I now have a better idea what my brothers fiance's breasts look like. We will not be going back here solely on how this consultant acted, the other consultant seemed way nicer, bubbly and friendly. It's a shame. read more

I went to Jessica Bridal this weekend in search of my wedding dress. I hadn't been able to find much selection in the style I was after at other stores, but thought I would try Jessica after reading other reviews. The consultant I had was great, listened to what I was after and was able to pull several dresses that fit the bill (one of which was the one!). She didn't pressure me to make a decision and was very accommodating about trying different veils, headpieces, and necklaces to give me the "look". Best of all, the prices were fantastic without the dresses looking cheap! The overall experience here was great, but I did have a few issues. First of all, the front desk is situated behind a rack of dresses and when I got there no one greeted me or acknowledged me for quite a while, even though I had an appointment. It was a busy day, but it was a bit confusing and off-putting for the first impression. Second, while they have multiple fitting rooms, it was very crowded trying to get out to look at the dresses in the mirror. There was another bride and a girl looking for prom dresses, and it was an obstacle course trying to wade through in the big dresses! Overall I was very happy with my experience with Jessica, and would definitely recommend to a friend. After going to 4 different bridal stores I finally found Jessica's Bridal. Nestled away inside a little strip mall building where I felt it didn't really fit the profile of the store around. Once I stepped inside I was greeted with a wonderful welcome. I was able to look at a huge selection of dresses and they were all completely different. I tried on about 10 or so dresses and with the help of all of the woman that were working at the store that day. Sharron, Cindy and Tany were all amazing. They kept bringing dresses left right and center and they all knew exactly what I was looking for that by the end I had to pick between some absolutely gorgeous dresses. I would recommend this place to every bride. I realize your dress is important but Service is the most important and this staff Nailed it. Went there to try on gowns and my mother went in first and the lady was rude to her without me knowing. I then walked in with my sister and the lady asks when my wedding was and my budget then aggressively said. "oh! You need to order right away" she was pulling dresses and making me fell really rushed. So I try the dresses on. She wasn't even there to help me zip up or nothing. one of the dresses I asked if she could zip it up and she said No. Then I gave her a look and she zipped it up. She went and pulled another dress I said OK to try it on and it was WAYYYYYY OVER MY BUDGET. I put my regular clothes and walked out the door. She was rudest biotch ever. This was the first place I went to try on wedding gowns. I was so excited because they carry the designer I was hoping to get a dress from. We walked into the store and were asked to take our shoes off. I definitely didn't mind that, but none of my bridal party were wearing socks, so they were quite put out. I met my consultant, her name was Juanita. She was very nice and friendly, asked me to use some words to explain what I wanted in a dress. Right away I informed her I wanted little to no beading, and a lace dress. She then asked me to try on a heavily beaded dress because she thought the shape would look nice on me. Not wanting to argue I tried it on, but didn't like it at all. I told her what I didn't like about it and she proceeded to pull a variety of dresses that she thought would look nice on me. To her credit, the dresses all looked good on me, but they were all the exact opposite of what I wanted. After about 45 minutes of her pulling dresses that she liked for me, I called it quits and left the store in tears and without a gown. The consultant was super nice and I've seen some great reviews for her so I assume she just had an off day, however she did not listen to a thing I said about what I was looking for, and she never even asked me my budget. To sum up my experience a this store, my consultant said " I think..." more than " What do you think...?". read more

I just went to pick up a bridesmaid dress from there. And obviously they don't take measurements right because my dress was and inch to tight. The lady asked when the wedding is and she said you have time to loose 5lbs so you don't have to pay to get it altered! Who the hell says that?! Terrible Service - I would not recommend this place. We made an appointment for Jessica's bridal for 5 bridesmaids dresses. We were in a bit of a rush and needed dresses off the rack. When we got there the dress selection was very small. A lot of bright colors and ruffles like gypsy style wedding dresses. We ended up picking several dresses for the 5 bridemaids to try on. In the middle of the appointment some other girls came in to try on their dresses they had already purchased. The consultant helping us told us to move rooms becuase customers just came in to try their dresses. So we weren't customers then??? She told us the dresses would take 5 months to order. Which is untrue because when I got married most dresses come 8-17 weeks. We asked to put the dresses on hold she flat out said NO and was really quite rude during the appointment. We ended up going and purchasing the dresses but the service and treatment was terrible especially since it is a special day and we were paying about $200 per dress. I cannot recommend this place just on the service alone. read more

Store didn't deliver what they promised - huge disappointment! Don't bother. My first impression of Jessica Bridal was positive. Their staff was helpful and accommodating. My husband and I had planned a quick elopement and I was looking for a dress that I could buy off the rack. I found a dress that I really liked. The manager, Kevin, offered me a small discount as the dress was missing a few buttons and had clearly been tried on several times. The staff spoke very highly of their seamstress and worked hard to make the alterations fit into my schedule. In the end they weren't able to deliver what they promised and my experience was a NIGHTMARE. I wouldn't be writing this negative review if it wasn't for the NUMEROUS ISSUES with the final alterations and EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT FOLLOWED. When I was finally able to reach the manager I was told that they had done their best and there was no chance of any refund for the alterations. He offered me a necklace up to $65 in value to compensate for their insufficiencies and all the inconveniences that ensued. I didn't think this was fair compensation after spending over $2000 at their store and having such a horrible experience. When I pressed further the manager simply got angry and hung up. I'm appalled that any store manager, let alone one of a bridal store, would behave in this way. Simply don't trust this store to deliver what they promise or you may be very, very sorry. Their best equates to a high level of ineptitude. More details on the issues below. The problems with the alterations included: 1) hemming the lining in the back of the dress was forgotten - my initial consolation was that they weren't going to charge me for it and since it was just the lining, I could just cut it off if I didn't have time to get it hemmed properly (this was a $1500 dress). To their credit , the manager promptly came to my house to pick up the dress so it could be fixed, but even after this last attempt, there was still a large piece of lining sticking out of the dress that we had to tack up very shortly before the wedding; 2) the seamstress misunderstood which area of the dress I wanted to have let out leaving it frumpy-looking (it looked better before that alteration) - I wasn't going to complain when I thought this was the only problem, but when I told her about it later she encouraged me to contact the manager after the wedding and see what he could do to compensate for the issues - this just caused more headache; 3) pulled too tight in the bust region so there was pulling and puckling in the fabric; 4) buttons falling off - I was told explicitly that these would be fixed before I picked up the dress, but they were not; 5) threads hanging off the dress where beads had fallen off - another thing that was supposed to be taken care of before I picked up the dress. I contacted the store shortly before the wedding outlining all the issues and indicated that I hoped for a refund for the alterations. The staff member I spoke with was very apologetic. The manager was away so they took a message about the issues along with my contact information. I heard nothing for two weeks following the time I was told I'd receive a call back. I finally got a hold of the manager and was told they did their best and there was no chance of compensation other than a free necklace. Apparently their best is pretty poor. Horrible!!! After trying on a few dresses and not loving them, they brought out a dress they wanted me to try on, I tried it on, and I liked it, but of course I did, it was out of my budget! I was avoiding trying on dresses out of my budget. I ended up saying yes to this dress and they wanted a 50% deposit so I paid it. After all was said n done they asked if I even noticed the dress was ivory NOT white like I asked for! But you couldn't really tell because of the dim lighting in this place. I was disappointed! I went home and started looking at the pictures of this dress and realized it wasn't me at all! Not my color...it was ivory with gold beading, I wanted white with silver or clear. There was NO poof like I wanted either. So I called to ask if I could either get a refund of my deposit, exchange for a different dress, or get an in store credit...they said NO to all even though the dress was from the rack, never left the store, and was not altered in any way, they said if I didn't want the dress I had to forfeit my $600 deposit! Cuz like I can afford that planning a damn wedding! Grrrr! I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE! She even let it slip out that a poor bride to be's fiance passed away and they weren't even giving her a refund! Rude! read more
