Popped in to see what ready-to-wear options they had for my friend who was searching last minute for a dress to wear the next day to a black tie event. While she had some options at home , it was clear she hadn't found the perfect dress just yet. We were greeted and pointed a section of dresses to peruse. It was clear when she came out of the fitting room, she found "the" dress! It was perfect, but you could tell it had been tried on a bit as there was some loose beading, a small repair that needed to be made and possibly straps that would need to be adjusted. The good news is it was a great price! I'm writing this review because the alterations team really went above and beyond very quickly to ensure that she walked out with a dress that was in perfect shape for her to be able to wear the next day. I believe his name was Marshall. He was able to quickly make the repairs, check the beading to ensure everything was tiptop and even had her try it on again to ensure the straps were at just the right place and that every detail was perfect. Service was okay but the arrangement of the dresses on the floor seems to have no rhyme or reason, doesn't seem to flow well. Also way too many fitting rooms which seem small and cramped. Seems they should be larger. And the worst thing that I did not enjoy at all was having to stand right outside the door waiting for my daughter to come out. She also listened very attentively to what styles and materials I did and did not like. She did not make me feel bad for the ones I did not want. Most importantly, SHE FOUND MY DRESS FOR ME!! There's a ton of bridal shops in Austin to choose from- but I highly recommend checking out this location for a fun experience. My friend (the bride) was able to make a bridal appointment the day before. Our consultant was Vanessa and she was helpful and sweet. They have a huge selection here of every kind of style. My friend tried one that was completely out of her comfort zone and it turned out to be *the dress.* The section where you try things on is in the back of the shop but it is very open to the entire store. My four stars mostly reflects that it's not a super intimate experience. They leave appointments and the dressing area open to children and it was a little distracting but overall not too bad. read more

I stopped in on a Thursday Afternoon To shop for a dress for an upcoming wedding. I was not greeted, I watched sales associates rush past me to greet other people entering the store. As I browsed there were MULTIPLE associates on the floor and I was never offered help. At one point I had three dresses in hand wasn't offered a fitting room or any help. Today, I had the absolute worst experience I've ever had in a store. My friend, a bride-to-be, and I decided to visit David's Bridal for a few reasons: to explore color schemes for bridesmaids' dresses, to begin looking at bridal gowns to get an idea of what she likes, and to find a formal dress since we're preparing for an upcoming cruise. We thought David's Bridal would be the perfect place to handle all of this. Upon entering the store, we noticed about five employees gathered in a small circle, chatting among themselves. They all looked at us but didn't offer a single word or smile. While this felt odd, we continued browsing. As we looked at dresses, not one associate approached us to ask what we were shopping for, if we needed help, or if we were finding everything okay. After selecting a few dresses to try on, we attempted to ask an associate if we could use a fitting room. Instead of offering help, she simply stared us up and down. Another associate eventually stepped in and guided us to a fitting room, which, surprisingly, was the only helpful interaction we had during our entire visit. While changing in the fitting room, we overheard a training conversation just outside the door. One associate was explaining to the new employee that the store's main focus is on bridal sales, particularly converting customers to bridal purchases. According to them, non-bridal sales are typically neglected because "bridal is where the money is." This insight made everything clear, but it was still shocking. If any of the 20 associates on the floor had bothered to ask us what we were looking for, they might have treated us differently -- though, in hindsight, that's even more concerning. Feeling completely unwelcome, we decided to stop trying on dresses. We carefully hung the dresses back exactly where we found them and quickly left the fitting room. As we exited, more associates just stared at us without offering any assistance. Though we may look younger, we are both almost 30 and we were hoping to find a store we could trust for such an important occasion. Unfortunately, after this experience, we will never return to David's Bridal, and I believe this needs to be addressed by corporate. David's Bridal wedding gowns are budget friendly. Depending on what a bride is going for, this can be a great thing. Personally, I wanted a dress that was higher quality, and I felt a big difference trying on gowns from other boutiques. DB is a good place to start if you don't have a vision in mind yet and want to try several different styles. CONS: If you sign up for a bridal appointment, David's Bridal will sell your contact information, and you will be emailed/practically spammed by MLM/pyramid schemes. This was infuriating. I came here to shop for my bridal gown with a friend. Maybe I just had bad timing because they were having a huge sale, but my appointment felt rushed. i had such an amazing experience! the store was extremely well organized and clean. Lots to choose from, even a sizable clearance section for budgeting brides! they also had a beautiful quinceanera dress that was cool to see. My actual appointment was a dream. Wilma was so much fun and she was so nice! She really made this a special time for me I'll be completely honest, I went to my appointment not expecting to buy anything and that i would have to go to a million stores to find my dress. This was my first dress shopping appointment and Wilma absolutely crushed it! The literal 2nd dress i tried on was so insanely perfect i was hooked! I went to get a bridesmaid dress altered for a wedding I'm in next month. I had to wait a little bit past my appointment time due to a previous appointment running behind. The associate was nice enough to take my dress so I wouldn't have to carry it around while I waited. The associate that helped me do my fitting was so amazing, her name is Luz. She was very open and honest about pricing as we were going through the entire fitting; cost for specific alterations, no refunds on alterations. She even tried to save me a few bucks by asking if I really needed something I was asking for. (haha) She steered me in the right direction when it came to how my dress fit, she asked if I liked what she did, after doing it. Sharon was helpful as a consultant. Dressing rooms are TINY and no mirror in them so you have to walk out to try and glance to see yourself and make your thoughts quickly before hearing everyone else's. Would've appreciated more space, a basket or place to put clothes while trying on dresses. Definitely lots of more affordable options but ultimately the dresses look a bit cheaper as well. My consultant was great, but the other consultant was a little pushy as if she's trying to push a sale or certain styles. I ultimately began to feel overwhelmed by the end of it. Not the worst bridal shop, but not the best either. I did appreciate getting to glance at bridesmaid, flower girl dresses, and other things as well at the same visit. Worst experience in my life and I wasn't even the bride. I've been a bride twice, a maid of honor three times, a bridesmaid in five weddings, and I'm a wedding photographer (for the past 13 years). Never in all my years have I experienced such horrible customer service or rudeness from a sales person. Vanessa cut us off when we spoke, talked down to us and the bride, waved her hand in the bridesmaid's face and told her she wasn't talking to her, wouldn't listen to us, basically told us to shut up, kept the door shut when the bride got into her gown so we couldn't see, and made the bride feel so uncomfortable that we walked out. Needless to say, we did not "say yes to the dress.". Nor will we be returning. We spoke with the sales manager, Jo-Nathan, who was very nice, professional, and apologetic. The store was clean / organized and followed the covid guidelines but most importantly, Kambria made the whole experience fun & comfortable!! The service was very helpful and we had a lot of the opportunities to try multiple dresses to decide which one we're going to be going with and also to place our order as soon as possible. The pricing was from $175-$250 because we were selecting our own dress style and most of them was on sale. The service representative assistant us by also logging in the details for the bridal party to make it very easy for me to order my dress when I come back in because I was trying to decide on two different ones. i have bought 2 prom dresses from david's bridal and gone back for my wedding dress hoping i would have the same experience as i did before. but this was not the case this time. i made an appointment for a bridal dress try on so i could get a feel of what i wanted. Shelby was the one who was helping me and i do not recommend her. i told her that i didn't want to buy today i just wanted to try on dresses to see what i liked ( i have over a year til my wedding). she said that was fine... but as i was trying on dresses she kept reminding me that our appointment time was almost up and was overall rushing me to get out of there. so finally i've tried on all the dresses and my sister brings me some bridesmaid dresses to try on for her wedding. well shelby said that there was appointments after us and she didn't want them overlapping which is fine i don't mind. so she had me completely change to a different dressing room. and as we are trying on bridesmaid dresses i realized that the room i was in no one was using and we were just rushed out of the room i think bc we weren't buying today so we meant less to her. i will not be coming back. and reading the girls review left yesterday makes me see that we aren't the only ones who were treated like crap. read more

My bridesmaids dresses appointment started at 1:30 & we walked out the store at 4. When I tell you they have the worst selection of dresses, colors & sizes they have THE WORST. I had my 3 swatches of colors that each bridesmaid was going to wear. After my bridesmaids tried on 4 dresses and we loved a few "oh we don't carry that color anymore" "oh, there's nothing in their size" "The colors don't come in these dresses." There was one point where I was starting to change my color scheme but even then nothing worked out! So frustrated. My sister-in-law is getting married and she had scheduled, well in advance, an appointment for bridesmaids dress selection. We had one room reserved for eight bridesmaids and were beyond frustrated that there were several empty rooms around us that we could not access to make a quick change. At some point we just used one and told the staff assigned to that room we would be happy to vacate when a guest arrive. Our personal assistant was missing half of the time and we ended up having to lean on another assistant whom we snagged and had a much more helpful attitude. She was more than willing to get us the information we needed in terms of which dresses were available in the colors we were looking for and by the date we needed them. David's bridal has an amazing selection of dresses and colors and styles for every bride and every bridesmaid however I cannot tell you how many times I've been in stores where the staff is just not as friendly as you would hope they would be. I really think that David's bridal corporate should work on a corporate customer satisfaction engagement and customer service training. The best news is that when I did order my dress I got a discount due to a sale, didn't have to pay for shipping and it came earlier than expected. read more

First Alma is the best! I had already purchased a dress that was beautiful but in my heart it wasn't what I wanted. It didn't fit what I had imagined for my NM elopement. When I came in for my alterations I asked her to look and see if she had any of these other dresses I had found online. She looked around and when she didn't find any she showed me one similar to another I had chosen. It was perfect the moment I stepped out of the dressing room! It was THE dress! After that Alma helped my daughter get the suit she wanted ordered. She was there almost every time I went in for my alterations and other things. Shes the manager and you can tell why! Not a great experience. Actually, I have never felt more like a low class citizen. I walked in looking for a dress that was online for a civil ceremony. The young lady showed me the dress, asked the date and immediately said it was unavailable. Which I understood, no problem. I asked if there was something similar she could share, nothing but straight foolishness from there. She was all too happy to help the next customer who was actively looking at a black gown. I assume if I had showed up looking like what I do, financially, she would have been all too helpful. The lack of compassion and disinterest was a turn off. I could and did easily walk away and found something else, a little more money, but worth it. I couldn't imagine having to deal with this, if it's your only option. Lastly, don't let me forget the duo or trio that was behind the counter looking and acting totally useless. I came here looking for a specific style thinking I knew what I liked and luckily my consultant Vanessa was sooo helpful and amazing. I was stuck in between 2 dresses and I couldn't decide. My mom went in first to check the waters and let me know the lady that treated us horribly wasn't there this particular day.... so I thought , why not try it again? After all, this place is SO close to my home! We had Vanessa and she was a hoot! She was very energetic and excited and happy. She made my experience pretty pleasant. She had me try on everything I wanted and I even FOUND MY DRESS!!! It was a great experience. Vanessa did everything right that the previous woman did wrong. She was patient and asked questions about what I wanted and how I felt. I feel like she listened to me and cared about what I wanted. She even let my mom help her with laying out the veil and making sure the dress looked good for a picture!!! She was helping several people at the time that she was helping me so I didn't have her undivided attention, but despite that, she did great. I even met the manager and she was a doll! I'm sad I gave this place such a bad review for my first time but I'm glad that I had a much more pleasant experience my second time around! Thank you davids bridal for your help!
