Was on empty and needed to eat REAL food after a 6 hour train ride. Healthy options, specials and great smoothies sold me. Followed my delicious salad with an iced coffee and I was revived! Then a week later, staying at an airport hotel, we came here and even though the kitchen closes at 3 pm, and it was 3:20 pm (sigh) the owner said we could order whatever we wanted. I nearly cried. He must have sensed the hangries coming on, big time. I had the vegetarian club (€10) and my bf had a pastrami club (€11). While I usually go with whole wheat bread, the white bread was just great. Both of us had a smoothie, pure fruit and veggies, nothing more. And we had to follow it up with a coffee! The bakery case was tempting with cookies, pastries and cakes. Really appreciate the owner's kindness and really enjoyed this charming cafe.

You pay and receive your food at the counter, and pick up your drink at the coffee bar. They'll rip your receipt prior to making your drinks. Note that you'll need to ask for milk and sugar if you get an americano (there aren't any available at the tables nor do they add them in). The food was decent for airport food, and it wasn't too exorbitantly overpriced. No outlets were by us but this isn't a place where you linger.

And what could be more fun than practicing your Italian to order your breakfast pastries and espresso. They're really friendly and will help you along. Sign language goes a long way. There's not a lot of meal options but plenty of snack options - the short drink and pastry combo option almost a good deal, but the short size drink is just so small. All in all, not my first choice but a decent airport option if you need caffeine.

My first lunch I had bottle of water, risotto with mushrooms and a cappuccino and my total was €10. The risotto was nice, but I wish there were more mushrooms! Second day didn't fare as well with an unmemorable sandwich, but another great cup of cappuccino- a colleague picked up the bill so don't know the cost of that order. Finally last day I asked a local coworker to order for me what she gets and this was a delicious veggie burger (all veggies, no soya) with grilled zucchini and eggplant with some cabbage -super good! Don't know cost as a another colleague picked up the tab. I also ordered a jam tart with my cappuccino, decent but tasted mass -produced. Final verdict is that it's good, but you need to know what to get here, as mileage variability varies greatly!

For Breakfast, 5 Euro will get you a pastry of choice, OJ and espresso drink..... Cappuccino was really good... velvety and smooth... but after 2 connecting flights from Toronto drinking airline stale coffee, I enjoyed every sip of my cappuccino!!
