The office is extremely clean and well lit with ample parking in the back. Dr. Wong and his staff are always professional, honest, and he never recommends any unnecessary dental work. I feel that I receive the highest quality care at his office and they are always very accommodating with scheduling my appointments. I have a very hectic work schedule that changes every week but Dr. Wong and his staff always works with me in finding an appointment if I ever needed it. Plus he is also bilingual which makes it easier for my older family members to communicate with him. He never rushes me and takes the time to address any concerns I may have. I can definitely tell he cares a lot about his patients. He definitely goes above and beyond for them. read more

Dr David Wong is an excellent dentist. He takes care of my family for more than 30 years and still being so great.

CAUTION: We had a real issue with the receptionist at this place messing up appointments. SO HAVE OTHER YELPERS! That is very bad. What is worse is that she basically called me a liar to cover herself. The dentist came out w gloves on all wild eyed and backed her up yelling at me that he can't see me?!! She scheduled my spot for 9:30 am on the phone and I entered it w alarms on my iPhone immediately while talking and I reconfirmed it again. She then proceeded to tell me that I was wrong. She refused to apologize, take responsibility or be nice. She caused me a real issue since it was for a cracked tooth. The whole office heard our exchange. What was the worst was that she told me she didn't care if I went to another dentist and that I was not telling the truth. How unprofessional and rude. I went to yelp this and found that others have had the same incompetent receptionist do the same thing!! I went home and told my girlfriend who is a long time customer of his. She told me that this same receptionist messed up her appt for a cleaning last week and my g friend had to tell her it wa sin July already. The receptionist looked and confirmed then hung up. CRAZY. And dangerous when dealing w time off and appointments. Zero stars because no one helped, she said I was untruthful, other Yelpers same issue, my g friend same issue. I am honest. If that's 3 of us, you all know there's 7 for each one that complains. Please reconsider going to this place. PS- Dr Wong will be losing two customers due to his lack of support for us as customers. DR WONG, your receptionist is messing your business up and you should not have been like that with me today. As a teacher and a Sensei, I teach honesty. You practiced the opposite today. read more

The entire team is awesome. While cleaning your teeth, they always give pointers to help you better take care of your teeth. My two year old loves going here (2nd visit was today) - they are so amazing with him. The front desk team member even entertained (coloring and counting numbers) my son while I was getting my teeth checked. Everyone is great and extremely hardworking. We are blessed to have found Dr. Wong and his team. read more

David Wong, DDS - General Dentistry Near Me - Sacramento, California

Dr. Wong and his staff do an amazing job at not only taking care of your teeth, but also taking care of you. Even though I was college student and had a super busy schedule for four years, they always made it a priority to squeeze me in their schedule. Their receptionist is very friendly and so understanding whenever I need to change my appointment or make a last minute appointment. They really understand the definition of customer service. About the doctor: Dr. Wong is a very nice and sweet person. I'm always impressed whenever he remembers facts about me and asks me how those things are going, especially since I only see him during school breaks, which only happens about once every six months. He is also very patient with his patients. ;) He never rushes through the job, and always makes sure my questions are answered before I go. Once, he even called up orthodontists in the bay area for me, when I told him I was going to school over there. You'd think he'd just have the receptionist do all this work. But he actually called me back himself with THREE phone numbers of great orthodontists he'd recommend I see! Needless to say, I was very surprised to get a phone call from Dr. Wong himself. Plus, Dr. Wong speaks both Chinese and English very well (and I'd say about half his assistants are bilingual as well), so it's perfect for us Asians whose family/parents may not perfectly speak or understand English. About their office: Being a dental place and all, I expect nothing but cleanliness, especially since they are dealing with disgusting germs and spit all the time. I can confidently say that Dr. Wong's office is neat and orderly, and most importantly, clean! I've been to some other dentists around Sacramento, and unfortunately, I can't say the same for other dental offices. I never counted the number of patient rooms, but there's tons! (Definitely more than 2) My only complaint would be that the patient rooms are separated only by a wall (no doors), which may make it a little noisy if the person next wall to you is super loud. But I've been their patient for 10 years now, and I'm going to keep on coming as long as I live in Sacramento! read more

I have been going there for a while now. For my recent appointment today, I had the most difficult time with the receptionist (she couldn't even get our names correct... you have the names written in-front of you, read those) scheduling my appointment. Not accommodating at all and the dental hygienist somehow took my words out of context. I was frustrated and said the receptionist f***in couldn't get my and my sons appointment at the same time and that's ridiculous. Well, if you don't want to know my views then don't ask dumb questions. Anyways, lots of other better dental offices who work with working families. read more

Dr Wong is the best. The staff are great and very accommodating. Give him a call, you won't be disappointed.

Dr. Wong is a great and honest dentist. He won't tell you that you need work done just to earn extra money, unlike another dentist I had to go to because my insurance temporarily changed. I need to remember his name and Yelp him! I believe it was Dr. Ramsey; I made an appointment with this Dr. Ramsey for cleaning and because my teeth were hurting. He said I had like 6 or 8 cavities and that it'd be free to get silver filling and $400/per tooth for the white filling! Since my last appointment with Dr. Wong was only a year prior, I didn't go back to the other dentist. I brush and floss twice a day so it couldn't have been THAT bad! I am now able to go back to Dr. Wong since my insurance changed. WHAT A RELIEF TO BE BACK! Some of my teeth are still sensitive at times and Dr. Wong asked if I grind my teeth. I know I have waken up to it before so he told me the grinding causes many symptoms and sensitivity is one of them. He suggested I try a mouth guard at night, which was made to mold my teeth (only do this if you are a good or deep sleeper because they're uncomfortable!). I tried it last night and was able to sleep. I hope this will take away the sensitivity (fingers crossed)! I've been his patient for many years. Staff is friendly and professional. I highly recommend him! read more

Dr Wong and his staff are all exceptionally friendly and do an incredible job. I appreciate that this is a practice that doesn't constantly try to upsell products or services that I don't need. (Having an uncle that is also a denist confirms this everytime he visits California) For routine cleanings, the bulk of the work is done by one of the dental assistants, who you're usually assigned to for every appointment. I appreciate this, because you get to form a relationship with the people and not just passed on to whomever is open. The location is at the corner of Greenhaven and South Land Park, so very easily accessible for anyone in the Pocket, South Land Park, or Meadowview neighborhoods. Worth noting that their appointments are packed tight, so needing to reschedule your appointment might result in an additional months-long wait. read more

Very disappointed my mother has been going to dr.wong since she was about 8yrs old and we have never had this kind of service that I received today. I call on 11/21 to make an appointment for the next available day for a cleaning and annual check up got my appointment for 9:30 11/22. I call and inform I was 10 min behind due to being double booked the receptionist says let me see about availability puts me on hold then proceeds to say find a new dentist since you 10 min late for your appointment! So unprofessional dr. Wong will be losing four clients because of his a$$w#ole of a receptionist read more

I had to go to the er and was not able to go to my dentist appt. They send me a message to look for another dentist. I have been with them since I was 13 I think and I am 40 now. The way they treat their loyal customers is ridiculous!! Very un professional and no regard to his clients. I seen other posts the same. I already told all my family that goes there to no longer go with him. I am very disappointed on how he treats his customers that have been with him for along time. read more

Called in last month to set an appointment. The young lady who helped said that she will call to check the insurance and she will call me back to confirm the appointment that same day. She also said, if I do not call you back that same day, we did not verify your insurance and you do not have an appointment. NEVER RECEIVED A CALL TO CONFIRM INSURANCE SO I NEVER KNEW THAT WE HAD A "CONFIRMED" APPOINTMENT. They "CALLED" two days (appointment on Thursday) before the appointment, they are closed on Wednesday's, to confirm, but spoke to no one. "LEFT" a message, I never received to "Confirm" appointment. I called to see if they have ran my insurance and they said I was a NO SHOW, so now they can't see me or my husband! Lots of attitude from the receptionist. read more

Dr. Wong (and his assistant, whose name I forgot, unfortunately) was great. - He spent more time than any dentist ever has just on the exam (looking for cavities, sensitive spots, etc., and asking me a lot of questions and giving me a lot of advice specific to my minor issues). - He did the cleaning himself (never had that happen before) AND he did it amazingly quickly. Even the spot with the most plaque, he just blasted it off with the water pik and somehow took care of it really quickly. I'm so upset when hygienists (due to being too rushed, too worried about being rough, or both) don't actually get my teeth clean, but Dr. Wong did a quick and great job. - He is, in his own words, "not an aggressive dentist"; i.e., he doesn't want people to spend the time and money having work done if it's not fully necessary. For example, he told me I had a cavity starting to form but that I should be able to keep it in check with proper brushing. He kept telling me my teeth were, overall, pretty great, and stressed proper brushing and flossing above anything else. - He was super-friendly and kind. When it comes to medical care, I would take a highly skilled awkward person or even a highly skilled jerk over a friendly person who did less good of a job, but I'm all for having the best of both worlds, when possible! Everyone there was equally laid back and friendly. Also, they have a nifty panorama x-ray machine, something I've never seen before. read more

Great dentist. Easy to talk to. The entire staff is very friendly and nice. I've know him for 15+ years. Tell him Jamie Kong sent you!

Very good dentist! Love his bedside manner, very competent, staff is awesome. Highly recommend.

I had 12 teeth fixed by doctor D. Wong that another dentist had destroyed and put me through so much pain and agony! But doctor D. Wong was so gentle and so patient with me because he understood that my experience before him that was so painful that I was terrified to go back to the dentist! I just wanted to say Thank you to doctor D. Wong and his staff for taking really good care of me! I highly recommend Dr D. Wong read more

Dr. Wong and his entire staff are awesome! They all provided such superior service that I almost didn't realize I was at a dental office! I was very impressed by the way Dr. Wong was so patient and informative and took his time explaining about every detail and step to my 9 year old son and I during our individual exams. You can sense he truly enjoys his profession! I highly recommend Dr. Wong and his friendly staff! read more

all people (as in all of them) in the clinic are nice and friendly. i just don't like the waiting period, sometimes

I just had my first examination/visit to Dr. David Wong, DDS and found him so patience with me, knowledgable, kind, calm and explained what he was going to do, and did a thorough exam of teeth, gums, and tongue and inside of mouth to make sure free of any cancer signs. The staff were very nice and the offices are clean, calming and professional and was not make to wait. Dr Wong was just wonderful. I would recommend him to anyone even if they are nervous of dentists which I am not. My whole visit was a delight and will keep him as long as he works. Plenty of parking in rear which is were the main entrance is anyway. I have gont to three dentists in my adult life all in SF, but Dr. Wong is the nices and so easy to communicate with and ask questions. He will explain anything you ask or do not understand.
