All the procedures, x-rays, and dental treatment options were explained in detail. I received the best cleaning I ever had and my mouth feels so fresh! Dental Examination: The dentist reviewed all my records along with input provided by the dental hygienist shared or identified during my cleaning. I was provided an explanation of treatment options to address specific dental issues, and the dentist reviewed my dental health with me. I was given an opportunity to ask questions or raise any concerns. The visit was not rushed and all the staff took time to listen and understand the patient. Location: The office is located in a professional medical/dental business complex which is conveniently located off of I-5. There is ample free parking. Unique Practice: The best part of this practice, to me, is the warm staff, many of which are related to one another. You can feel the hospitality and welcoming family vibe.

I had a very uncomfortable experience at this dental office…read more My daughter was charged for a fluoride treatment that was not actually performed. The charge was refunded only after I brought this to the office's attention. The doctor at this office reviewed my daughter's X-rays, which were taken at this office, and told me that she had a cavity and a white spot. The doctor recommended a filling for the cavity and a Curodont treatment for the white spot. I declined the Curodont treatment at that time because it would have been an out-of-pocket expense, and the diagnosis was unexpected, so I wanted to get a second opinion first. I brought the same X-rays to my daughter's previous dentist, who reviewed them, examined my daughter's teeth in person, and told me that she did not find a cavity or white spot. I understand that dentists can have different professional opinions, and I cannot personally determine which assessment was correct. However, receiving conflicting opinions about my daughter's dental health was concerning as a parent. During my X-rays, the sensor caused me to gag repeatedly, making the procedure very uncomfortable. During my first visit, I was photographed from the front and, unexpectedly, from the side. The staff then handed me a metal retractor and asked me to place it in my mouth for additional photographs. None of this was explained to me beforehand, and I was not expecting to have photographs taken from multiple angles with a metal retractor in my mouth. The experience left me feeling confused and uncomfortable. My daughter had a similar experience. She was asked to place a metal retractor in her mouth for photographs, and she was also photographed from the side. She told me afterward that she found the experience weird and uncomfortable as well. Ultimately, I lost confidence in the practice and decided to take my family elsewhere, so I cancelled all of our upcoming appointments with this dental clinic.

Dr. Anna Kim and her assistant were super kind and perceptive to any pain that I was experiencing during getting my cavities filled and the teeth cleaning. I am usually very fearful of the dentist and avoid going (so it has been a very long time since my last visit) but they made me feel welcome and were overall very warm!

The front desk was delayed, and once in the chair, the hygienist didn't introduce himself, the dentist seemed inexperienced, and my requests about sensitivity and manual cleaning were misunderstood. A poorly handled cleaning tool even fell on the floor. I left feeling anxious and upset. It was getting to the point that I was considering a root canal and I was struggling with the pain. There is plenty of parking at the office and the receptionist welcomed me in and gave me all the paperwork I'd need to fill out. I was brought back to a chair and I noticed that they have really nice equipment here and the office is really clean and welcoming- well, as welcoming as the dentist can be. There was even a little poster on the ceiling for when you're staring up as they work on your mouth. They took some new X-rays, took a look at my teeth and did some sensitivity testing with ice and some tapping. Ultimately the advice was to keep waiting on my teeth to heal after the fillings- that the fillings were good and not too deep and that the nerves were still healthy but a bit irritated and sensitive from the dental work. I wasn't thrilled about needing to continue to deal with the pain, but it's now been over a month from this appointment and my teeth are feeling almost normal again. There is still some cold and heat sensitivity but the pain is much less and I'm not getting random pain that lingers and gives me headaches. It definitely saved time, money and my real teeth by not needing to do the root canal. My teeth were definitely testing me though- it was a rough couple months.

A few things that should concern current and prospective clients. I visited twice, first for an…read moreevaluation as a new client but thought the cleaning would happen the same day, had to schedule about a week out for the actual cleaning, a bit frustrating as I don't have a lot of free time but I was willing to overlook the problem in communication from staff. The clinicians and hygienists did a great job and I scheduled a follow up. Admittedly, I missed the follow up appointment and was charged a $75 No-Show fee. Within 1-2 days they sent notice of bill, I set it on my computer desk as a reminder but as I said, I'm unbelievably busy and forgot. Today, May 15, 2025, Angela Rodriguez sends me a text threatening to report the $75 missed appointment fee to collections; in short, Land Park Dental's core interest is money, not patient care. I felt this at my evaluation and cleaning, showing me images of my X-rays indicating I need a second deep cleaning (the appt. I missed), a mouthguard, potentially crowns - it just kept adding up. While I am NOT a dental clinician nor hygienist, I AM an epidemiologist with more than 10 years of medical direct patient care mixed with more than 20 years of public health practice. As soon as I walked in for my first appt., checked in, the first thing the front desk staff did was clarify insurance and asked how I would be paying for the remainder my insurance doesn't cover. Received my evaluation and when I checked out with front desk staff, the discussion of money came up again. The same for my second appt. when the actual cleaning took place - money discussion upon checking in and upon checking out. The office manager Angela Rodriguez is incredibly rude, threatening, and off putting. ONLY because they are so close to my residence, I was going to pay the missed appt. fee, and reschedule my second cleaning but today, with Angela Rodriguez's threatening text messages, me informing them that I don't take kindly to threats, AND informing them of the State of California law prohibiting medical debt to be reported to credit bureaus Angela Rodriguez replied with a "thank you" for payment and best wishes for the future; in short, Angela Rodriguez basically dismissed me as a continuing client. I am now searching for a dentist that places patient care above profit. Good Luck!

I've always been very tentative about dental care, it's not something I looked forward to. Until recently. Now, I appreciate my every-6-month visit to Dr. Boyte, and the benefits that provide it. Dr. Boyte has a rare skill; the capacity to share and convey incredibly dense, yet understandable, 'data' about what is going on in my mouth. Dr. Boyte speaks in specific, precisely worded, perfectly structured, terms, always assuring the pace of delivery is synchronized with my pace of absorption. One notices and appreciates the precision and tone conveyed by healthcare providers who are graced with rare communication skills; it conveys an assuring depth of knowledge. After the assessment, we share thoughts on strategies for maintenance (or treatment as the case may demand), and agree on the care that will be provided. Experience only enhances natural talent, so as a patient I appreciate being on the receiving side of Dr. Boyte's practice. Always top notch, but now after 20 years+, the continuity of two decades of care from a rare talent is an undisclosed benefit that is gratefully appreciated. Perhaps what is equally impressive is that "all" that usually follows the informal chat about kids, travel, activities, a current event or two, while recalling personal details shared incidentally at one of my previous appointments. It is a twice-a-year "conversation" that I appreciate and cherish because through these visits and treatments by Dr. Boyte, not only do I get ultra-high quality dental care, but I have an informal record of my life's continuity, expressed in hour-long visits, every six months.
