Post op 7 months now…read more I had been trying to establish post op care with a in network bariatric surgeon but it was such a big headache. I asked to get my labs checked and they couldn't even get that right. I reached out to Dr. Doraiswamy after 3 failed attempts. I explained the situation and he quickly got back to me to say not to worry, he will order labs and schedule a phone follow up to review labs. Same day, I got my telehealth appointment scheduled and labs emailed. I went to quest that weekend and got the done in preparation for my call the next week after Easter. Dr. D asked how I have been doing and reviewed the labs. B was a bit high so he recommended reducing to every other day. Vitamin A low but may choose to supplement in diet or via over the counter vitamin. We set some achievable goals with bumping up my exercise to focus on type and duration. I have another follow up call in 4 months. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. D. I am doing well 7 months post op/45 lbs down. Eating has normalized (my new norm). Occasional nausea which he explained to avoid drinking with meals. This will cause that weird funnel overflowing effect which will cause nausea. No other side effects that I have noted. This has been a very comfortable journey thus far. He has been a stellar surgeon before and after surgery. I am so happy I can still follow up with him throughout my journey to a healthier me. If you are contemplating any weight loss surgery, I continue to highly recommend Dr. D. He is the best! Also, special thanks to the office staff for being responsive and efficient with scheduling.

Dr Baumgarten gave me my life back! My partial knee replacement failed after 5 years, went to the…read moresame group as the one that did the previous partial, opted for second opinion (I had prior surgeries with dr takai in the same office as dr baumgarten, but he retired). Front office is awesome, submitting authorizations seemingly as soon as I left the office, didn't waste any time. Due to a job change our insurance was running out and once approved Lisa the scheduler got me in asap. Same situation with my other knee 6 weeks later with the exception of it needing replaced instead of revised. Got me in and done in a couple weeks. All the follow ups have gone very well, due to a scheduling misunderstanding (I forgot and missed a follow up showing up the following day at their lunch time) they still got me in and seen ON THEIR LUNCH! I've had 22 different ortho procedures with countless drs, and Dr Baumgarten and staff are the best

I came in to go over my options after injuring my right knee in a fall a few years ago. The injury…read morecaused a meniscus tear, and I haven't been able to fully straighten my knee since then. However, I had limited knee pain and no difficulty walking; the main issue was painful compensation on my left side. He outlined several treatment options, but the conversation seemed to focus on dismissing alternatives in favor of a total knee replacement which felt far too aggressive at this stage. It came across more like a sales pitch than a recommendation based on my best interests. There is no patient portal, nothing digitized, no texts, nothing. I personally find these features immensely helpful in understanding and organizing my ongoing treatment. Seems outdated since I don't think I have any providers without a portal these days. The few pages of pre-surgery information they sent me by mail seemed painfully inadequate. When I made the initial appt, they told me they accept Blue Shield PPO, but when I looked at the claim in the BS portal yesterday I noticed they were out of network. When I called to ask about it, I was told I should have asked or looked into it on my own, but I very rarely ever run into providers who aren't in network so I didn't think of it. So I guess that's on me. Maybe I'm being picky, but I feel that is a point worth mentioning especially when considering the huge expense of major surgery. Some of the portals that I mentioned above also let you know your insurance summary *before* the appt. To be fair, he was easy to talk to, listened to my concerns, and did not rush through the appointment. Clearly he has helped a lot of people so he's doing something right. But after considering all of the above, I decided not to move forward with the surgery.

First let me start by saying I've been a patient of Naim Kassar for many decades. I have 5 kids…read morewhich he delivered. Never once have I had a negative experience. He is always in a great mood, polite, he has a cute personality and just makes me feel completely comfortable. I want to add my 25 year old daughter is a patient of his as well. She's been with him since she was 18. She also feels completely comfortable with him. Dr.Kassar has done a few surgeries on me which were done at Foothill Press Hospital in Glendora. Yesterday I had bladder surgery of course done by Kassar but this time at the surgical center behind his office. I'd like to say the staff there is outstanding. Jasmine was my nurse. She was great! Jasmine was super friendly, My anxiety was through the roof. I'm the biggest chicken when it comes to needles. She did a great job on my IV. She paid close attention to everything I had to say with all my concerns. She really explained everything thoroughly and made sure I understood. She continuously checked on me to make sure I was comfortable. She's a huge asset to this surgical center. For the life of me I can not remember the lady's name who was my anesthesiologist but she was great. Very personable and also explained everything thoroughly. She could tell my anxiety was high and gave me medicine through my IV to help me out. It made me relax and feel 100x better...She talked me through everything all the way up to when I went to sleep. She's great. Super sweet and great at her job. Thank you very much to all the staff at this surgical center for making my surgery a breeze:-) MB

Everything seemed smooth and ok upon arrival and prior to surgery, the issue was during discharge. I asked the discharge nurse several times if my daughter had a prescription and she told me several times "no meds are prescribed for this procedure" and she will need to take tylenol. First, she should've checked to make sure. Second, she should not respond as the surgeon or M.D. which is what she did! My daughter was in pain all night and couldn't sleep. Good thing her doctor called to check on her, and asked if she received her prescription order because had she not my daughter would still be suffering. Needless to say, my daughter is now recovering comfortably. I am not one to pull the race card but this felt very discriminating, so Please dont assume ALL BLACKS have addictive personalities and want drugs!!!! WE DO NOT!!!
