I was definitely nervous going into surgery, but everyone was so kind and reassuring and made me feel safe and comfortable from the moment I walked in. My CRNA, aka my "Sleepytime Doctor," kept things really fun and kept my spirits up, which I really appreciated because it helped me relax. When he told me I would be under twilight sedation, I remember thinking to myself, "Okay, vampire. Team Edward or Team Jacob?" Everything went so smoothly, and I felt completely taken care of. I also noticed how well all of the nurses and staff worked together. Everyone helped each other out, communicated well, and it really felt like a team. There was plenty of parking, and I really liked how easy the patient pickup was. The pickup area is right outside the door, so I didn't have to walk far after surgery and whoever was picking me up could park right there. That was such a nice convenience after having a procedure. My surgeon was also wonderful. He was friendly, positive, and reassuring throughout the whole process, which made a big difference when I was feeling nervous. I also really appreciated that both my surgeon and one of the nurses followed up with me on different days after surgery to see how I was doing. That really stood out to me because it made me feel like they genuinely cared about my recovery and not just getting me through the procedure. Surgery is obviously not something anyone looks forward to, but the people at Glendora Surgery Center made me feel safe, cared for, and comfortable throughout the whole experience. I'm really glad this was where I had my surgery.

She did my IV before my surgery and didn't actually get a vein, I told her my arm was getting swollen and she said it was fine. I flagged down a guy nurse who was about to wheel me in, I told him it didn't feel right, he looked and his eyes widened immediately. (edit: he was actually the anesthesiologist now that I remember) He told the nurse she was wrong and didn't get a vein, they had to start a new one. You could tell his frustration with her was a constant thing. Fast forward, my aunt had surgery here about a month ago. What do you guess happened.... SAME SITUATION, SAME NURSE. I think it is ridiculous, she is rude and has the worst bedside manners for a nurse to begin with but she's also not good at her job. This is a scary thing for us undergoing surgery and she tries to act like little mistakes happen & while yes I understand they do, this is just toooo coincidental for me. Two people, same family, years apart. Scary. Anyways, not to scare people but just want to inform people. Advocate for yourself. Don't let this nurse gaslight you. It's your life & your body!

They are always friendly and the food is great. Definitely call for hours. They're open for breakfast and lunch and they have a good selection. The cooks prepare a variety of items to choose from. I usually go down and pick up breakfast on days that I don't want to cook. The prices can't be beat. They also offer free soda, fountain, and coffee and tea. We've always been pleased with everything that we've gotten there from breakfast burritos to specialty lunch items. If you're in the community, check out the San Dimas community hospitals cafeteria. We were discharged after 3 days and they gave no answers as to the symptoms. Only thing they said was to go straight to surgery. Why surgery when nothing was found in the Ultrasound, MRI, and CT Scan? Oh I know why...wo the doctor can bill you and collect from your insurance...thats why! The entirety of stay was deep down disgusting (bedsheets had blood stains and another had some kind of yellowish stain), power outages a and broken call remote, and nurses that can not give you answers or reassurance. I don't know, but this place downright nees to reevaluate their staff. Yes, and when submitting for your medical records, don't trust what's on the discharge papers or whatever paper they give you...the email address they provide is WRONG! Now the release of medical record will be delayed indefinitely unless you call them personally to check in the status. They will tell you to resubmit. I have so much more to say and share, but just STAY AWAY! Their website say they are known for their "family-like environment"...from my experience...eh... no. If you want quality care, professionalism, and professional doctors that REALLY CARE, go elsewhere...anywhere but Dan Dimas Community. There is a reason why I'm posting this. I was always large breasted, but with the radiation and time my right breast size decreased noticeably, probably 2 cup sizes. With a consult with Dr. Wali we agreed a reduction to my left breast was the best solution. So I had the reduction in July and it is amazing. No more prosthetics or pads to try to appear to have the same size breasts.The symmetry is amazing. I wish I could give them 10 stars…read more My mom had a hypoglycemic episode and her sugar levels were measured at only 21. Her speech was stirred and she couldn't move her body. At one point she went u responsive and I was afraid that she had died. The paramedics gave her a dextrose shot and thank God she began to come to. She was transported to the ER at Foothill Presbyterian and I must say the service was excellent!!! The took her in, gave her all the blood test and also a CAT scan on her head to make sure it wasn't a stroke. They were very kind and explained everything to my family once we were allowed in the back. I was shocked and very happy when I went back to see her and she was talking and laughing like her perky self. Because literally, I thought she was dead when 911 was at my house with her. The staff here literally brought my mom from the brink of death to the point where she was allowed to go home in a few hours. The ER atmosphere was calm and quiet. The nurses were all friendly, kind, and accommodating. They explained everything before discharging and made sure we understood the next steps. My mom's initials are JT in case the staff wants to figure out what patient she was. Thank you Foothill Pres. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the staff here. On July 1, my father, who was on hospice for advanced cancer, was rushed there by ambulance because he was experiencing severe stomach pain. Despite being in obvious distress, he waited over an hour in the emergency room before being placed in a room. He was never admitted to the hospital. Once the staff learned he was on hospice, it felt as though they had already decided there was nothing worth doing. He was given morphine and an X-ray of his stomach, but no other treatment options or interventions were discussed with our family. The physician was dismissive and repeatedly implied that because my father was on hospice, there wasn't much to do. We understand what hospice means, but every patient deserves compassion, dignity, and thoughtful medical care. The lack of empathy from the staff was devastating. When my mother asked a nurse why more morphine was being given after my father was already unconscious and heavily sedated, she was met with an attitude instead of understanding. After my father passed away, the physician who informed our family delivered the news in a cold, detached manner, even suggesting that because he was on hospice, this outcome was expected. No family should have to receive such heartbreaking news without compassion. What hurts the most is not just that my father died there, but the way our family was treated during his final hours. We will always wonder if he would have received more compassionate care had the ambulance taken him to Kaiser, where he had always been treated with dignity and respect. I hope no other family has to experience what we did. During the most vulnerable moments of a person's life, kindness, empathy, and respect matter just as much as medical treatment.
