My Pap smear with Plawer did NOT suck…read more I currently go to the Glenview office and have always had a pleasant experience. Her nurse Emily is also amazing. Thank you both!

Recently at my annual appointment I was waiting to use the restroom which faces the support staff cubicles. The wait was rather long as there is only one restroom. I had the "privilege" of overhearing how they feel about their clients. "Oh, I hate the perimenopause ones- IM FAT AND HAVE SYMPTOMS BUT I DONT WANT TO GO ON MEDICATION AND GAIN MORE WEIGHT". "THE NEWBIE GYNES ARE SO CUTE WITH THEIR STIs." I was stunned. I went to the restroom, came out, and Dr. Plawyer's nurse was waiting for me. I told her of the incident and she said "I'm sorry to hear that" and then went over my med list and medical history while I'm on the verge of tears. I finally stood up and said "I'm leaving." I did receive a voicemail apologizing and saying it was addressed. However, as a nurse for the past 10 years I understand on a deeper level that the comfort they felt talking about patients at work indicates a culture of not respecting their patients. When we go to the doc we want to feel heard, be taken seriously, and be met with empathy and assistance. I no longer believe this happens at this clinic. Find a clinic that doesn't mock their patients.

He's 5* Scheduling appointments online is a very convenient feature. Additionally, medical records and messaging online is nice. 4* Unfortunately, wait times for scheduled appointments are bad and getting worse. I typically wait 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, but which is very frustrating. They stack up their patients. This seems to be a larger HMO problem, where doctors only get paid by patient and only allowed a few minutes per patient. 2* for the process.

If it weren't for my doctors whom I love so much, I would have left this practice. The buildings are dirty. A couple of years ago, we went to Evanston hospital and they put us (my young son) in an emergency room with dried blood. I didn't notice until we were done with our appointment and I started looking around. It was on the sink, the bed rail, the curtain. I was going to seriously report them to the health department, but my husband said to let it go. The referral process is a JOKE. You are constantly having to jump through hoops only to be told no. And unfortunately referrals have to go through your medical group before insurance. It's too much to deal with. They don't care about the patients. It's all about money.

If I could give Dr. Warner 100 stars, I would in a heartbeat. After having a completely terrible…read moreexperience with another OB very early in my pregnancy, I went online and googled "best OB in Evanston" Dr. Warner was at the top of the list. After reading a bunch of other reviews, I switched my insurance over to her and never looked back. She is knowledgeable, patient, responsive, honest, and every other positive thing you'd look for in an OB. I was almost 3 months pregnant at our first visit and reeling from my previous terrible experience with Dr. Herriges and his practice (that's a whole other story - feel free to read that review if you want to know what not to look for in an OB). She answered all of my questions, helped my icky feelings fade away, and put my mind at ease in a matter of 15 minutes. She helped me get my very limited medical records sent over, reviewed my results from those tests and let us know that everything was going well thus far in a matter of days. Throughout my pregnancy, she never cancelled an appointment, was extremely communicative, and kept me confident that we could totally do this. Her office has a nurse available to answer questions M-F and they call you back promptly with answers to your questions, no matter how silly the questions may seem. On to my delivery, which was unplanned to a degree. Our babe was breech, and we tried spinning babies exercises, moxa, acupuncture, and nothing worked. We made the decision to try ECV, for which Dr. Warner referred us to a MFM specialist. On the day of the procedure at 37 weeks and 2 days, things did not go as planned that Dr. let us know we would delivering that day and that Dr. Warner knew and she'd be over as soon as she finished with one other patient. Holy. Crap. Well, Dr. Warner arrived, made sure we understood what was happening, walked me into the OR, soothed my frazzled psyche with some deep breaths and her ultra calm demeanor, and we were on our way. Dr. Warner truly is the best OB in Evanston, at least she is the best one for me. I absolutely adore her and her team!

We have been taking several traditional medicines for 8 years, and still Ashley had many breakthrough seizures and even had a concussion with brain surgery last year. She has suffered cognitive and physical side effects. We went to Dr. Bark for her opinion on what would heal, strengthen, detox her and treat all her present symptoms. She prescribed Ketogenic Diet combined with Medical Cannabis and Ashley has responded beautifully to all treatments and quickly. Dr. Bark was exactly right! In early Fall , she prescribed several homeopathic remedies and they worked like a charm. Then, we knew this was going to be an amazing journey of healing. Sure, we had questions along the way and she answered every one of them. We applied end of August to the IL Department of Health for Ashley to get a Medical Cannabis license, and alas received it on December 2nd. We started Medical Cannabis on December 6th. We are weaning off all of our previous medicines with her guidance. Our baby girl is stronger, more alert, has been more communicative, creative, more coordinated, and less sleepy. Also, we took Dr Bark's Ketogenic cooking class in the Fall and that was excellent too. You get to see live cooking, taste some awesome samples and leave with recipes to try at home. We plan to attend another one in the Spring. Dr. Bark made our daughter truly a miracle on earth ! She saved our baby girl! Dr. Bark and her assistants Pam and Cindy have been very professional & responsive to all of our inquiries. We highly recommend Dr. Toni Bark & staff for healing the natural way!
