I was diagnosed with a 1.3 CM pituitary Tumor after suffering from Tinnitus for over 2 years. My…read moreteam of Drs recommended me to Dr Louis at Hoag. He is the only Dr in the entire Network of Hoag to perform the type of delicate surgery I needed. All I can say is I believe God led me to Dr Louis for more reasons then I can get into. From the first moment I met him I felt all of my worries subside and that he had everything under control. Tim Kelly is his choice for ENT that assists him in creating the passage way to the Pituitary area. I felt like these guys were more like family then my Dr's. and that I could surrender myself and just let go. I have 3 Kids and 2 Grand babies, I prayed that I would get past this and this was the team that would get me there. My surgery was 09/07/2021 and this is my 5th day post surgery. He was able to remove the entire mass and I should be on the road to a full recovery ! I know life can throw us challenges and I can say that with gifted Drs like this they are truly Miracle workers at there craft. If you need help and are feeling defeated please trust in Dr Louis's ability's and feel blessed you were able to get him as your Surgeon !! Steve L - Costa Mesa,Ca

Not what I was looking for and no ideas for me on how to proceed going forward. I was hoping for a few options to help me with the pain I have. I would say he is good to see if you have a definitive diagnosis but not if you are searching for a diagnosis. My long drive to Newport Beach was a waste of my time and further discomfort. My rating is 3 stars

Dr Cano is a delight to work with! She has gotten me in for appts quickly and does not make me wait…read moremore than 15-20 mins if at all. And guess what? If I did have to wait, I would understand or reschedule. I see from other reviews that people are mixed on her demeanor and use of testing. I personally like that she is direct and to the point, gives clear recommendations and will run the tests you want to rule out things you are worried about (genetic predisposition to certain diseases, symptoms, etc). Given that she is easy to get into see and takes insurance which is rare in this day and age for good doctor, I am thrilled I found her and tell people about her. Doctors are business people too. In this country, f they cannot run their business, they will be out of business and not be able to help people. So yes, the good ones have developed relationships with other practitioners over time. For me this was INVALUABLE when I had a crisis that seemed like frozen shoulder and though I see her as my neurologist, she replied to my email immediately when I reached out for a referral so I could see an ortho and not have to wait 6 weeks in pain. She got me in for an MRI that very day, got me meds that I needed and I was out of pain in four hours with something I could've been dealing with for six months to a year. I ended up resolving the shoulder with my acupuncturist-chiro within days and following up with an ortho thru my insurance in a week. Her contact at the imaging center was kind enough to take my MRI cd to the ortho I had found on my own because I was working and could not run to get it in time!!!! That is the power of knowing other professionals! I was on the meds for just three days and she only wrote the prescription for a 7 day supply. I know she doesn't want people to be on meds but will Rx when needed. I was astounded in how helpful she was when I emailed her. She replies to emails within 5 to 15 mins. And if she did not, I would be okay with that. I had to go on blood pressure medication (only after she had me track it for 2 weeks) because of what turned out to be that I was having small Lacunar strokes (visible on my MRI) while I slept due to sleep apnea un-diagnosed and when I changed my job and my blood pressure went down we kept reducing medication and I don't need it anymore. She does not want her patients to be on meds. She's happy I am not on any; she said so herself when I saw her the other day. She did do extensive blood work so we could rule anything bad. For me I was fortunate that most of her visits and testing was covered by insurance. If a person did not have good insurance I could see being leery of her. She is direct and to the point. If you are getting scary test results and she is super direct, it could be disconcerting. She really cares for her patients but she is clearly not everyone's cup of tea and that is okay!

In addition to their poor character and disgusting comments they failed to retrieve medical records required for the reason of visit. After this sickening experience my family member went to another neurologist and shared the experience, the doctor stated it's widely known many patients have bad experiences with Luz Elena Cano. Not much reason to visit this business in my opinion, unless you like to be treated badly and want to spend your time and money at a business that lacks professionalism.

Please don't waste any more time or money with other doctors…read more We are no stranger to Migraines in our family. And we've been to a plethora of Neurologists. Three out of our four family members have daily migraines. Our journey has been long and hard. When my kids were younger I brought them to see Dr. Hutchinson. She is the BEST person. She's kind and genuinely cares. My kids felt safe with her and she was there for them. Fast forward to 2021. I just had an appointment with Dr. Molly because my Migraines have been getting the best of me lately. She is also AMAZING! She spent a lot of time with me to help navigate my complicated symptoms. She's down to earth and she actually listened. It's likely that you've been traumatized by the medical system. I'm sorry for that. When doctors (even specialists) try to treat migraines that are chronic or complicated, that aren't responding to medications or other treatments - they tend to blame the patient. "It's all in your head", or "Maybe you just need to see a psychologist". They feel helpless within the situation and tend to blame the patient. It must be the patient's fault if the treatment prescribed doesn't work. Neither of these amazing ladies will blame you or shame you for having Migraines or mental health issues. It's not your fault you have Migraines. Dr. Hutchinson's office is private pay. You may be thinking that you aren't worth the investment or you're worried about wasting your hard earned money. Perhaps you're concerned that you won't be helped. I'm here to say that you owe it to yourself to try - even if you've tried everything else. At the very least you'll be genuinely understood and acknowleged. And it's highly likely you'll be treated properly and improve your quality of life dramatically. :)

They are prompt (your appointment will start on time!) and consummately professional. However, they treat you with kindness and respect, too... Which isn't always the case with doctors! Even during a pandemic, he and his entire team made me feel so comfortable and heard. Ashley at the front desk who never fails to have a smile and genuinely cares about all the patients. Erin, who made what is usually a nerve-wrecking ordeal (telling all your information to yet *another* physician and his team... not to mention staple removal!) incredibly pleasant. Carol, the incomparable office manager who made the process of scheduling 3 surgeries (and all the MRI's and COVID tests that went along with it!) The surgeries themselves were as smooth and pleasant as brain surgery can be. His team (I specifically remember Ciara and her trainee!) made me feel like an old friend. They made me so comfortable at every turn, and I never doubted I made the right choice. To top it off, the surgeries were an absolute success! For the first time in my life, I am tremor free! I can write my name and hold a full cup of coffee for the first time in years. I have a new life, and I owe that to Dr. Duma and all the amazing people who work with him.

Red flag number one. She is rude when responding to emails. She told me she would be out of the office and when I had to contact her for something I wrote 'Hope you're enjoying your PTO' to be friendly and she replies 'I don't know what PTO is. No one is paying me to take time off'. Rude and unnecessary. Lastly, she refused to resubmit a referral that I needed for medical Botox, therefore delaying my care. I had a referral from previous Neuro but it needed to be resubmitted. During appt she also recommended Botox and stated she would resubmit referral if needed. She lied. See pictures. Reported her to the board. Lastly, she sees you in a room that does not even really have medical equipment. Don't know how she does sterile procedures there. Please look into other offices. Oh and the front office guy with glasses needs hand holding. He wrote me an appointment card once and his writing legit looked like a kindergarteners lol
