I have been to many Dr's for multiple joint and bone procedures but Dr Abdollahi has been the very best at what he does, not only does he have amazing surgical skills his bedside manner is beyond professional and he is so personable. I have been treated by Dr. Karim Abdollahi since 2018. He is one of the best Orthopedists Surgeons I have ever met. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He listens well to his patients' concerns without rushing to examine or concluding his opinions. He then examines his patients with utmost patience and care, always wearing a smile and making patients comfortable. I have been treated by Dr. Abdollahi since 2018 when I fell and damaged my right-hand finger. He examined me and ordered x-Rays and added a metal support for my finger. I was fine after a couple of months. Then in 2020, I started having sever pain in my right shoulder, arm and hand followed by numbness and tingling. I made an appointment with Dr. Abdollahi, he examined me very thoroughly and then ordered some x-Rays and diagnosed me with Right Cervical Radiculopathy. MRI confirmed his diagnosis. He sent me for Physical Therapy treatments followed by Epidural injections to be able to manage the pain. His care and kindness made my life easier and gave me hope that I would get better. Dr. Abdollahi does not only answer all his patients' questions, but also always volunteers to ask if they have any additional questions. Sometimes, I wonder how he spends so much time with his patients while most other physicians spend a limited time rushing to go to their next patients. Dr. Abdollahi's office staff are very professional and responsive, supporting us in the preparation of our visit with the doctor and changing or updating our appointments. My husband and I came in to see Dr. Karim today for the first time, and I cannot say enough great things about this thorough, highly-knowledgable doctor. We (unfortunately) see many medical professionals due to a handful of issues, and most simply rush us through and seem disgruntled when we ask questions or take too much of their time. Dr. Karim spent over an hour going through past records and scans and getting a really complete history. His bedside manner is too good to be true, and he had a full game plan before we left. Just had another procedure performed by Dr. Abdollahi. Would not have had him do this surgery if I didn't have such wonderful results from my rotator cuff surgery. I don't know of anyone that looks forward to having surgery but how comforting to have a doctor that you can tell really cares about the good of his patients. This review is only for their receptionists since I have never gotten a chance to make an appointment. I have to do a shoulder surgery diagnosed by my Primary care doctor and he referred me to this doctor. I have been calling the facility for a week now and every time I have been directed to the voice mail. I have left detailed messages on every attempt and never got a reply until today that finally some person actually picked up the phone, and as I started to explain what the issue was and asking for an appointment, she hung up on me and never picked up again. If either the surgeons or the supervisors are reading this, it is beneficiary for both parties, you and the patients, to come up with a solution for this inefficient and unprofessional way of communication with the new patients. read more

When I began a search in earnest for a surgeon to repair a tendon rupture in my hand, I recall how important finding useful and helpful information was to me during that period. I fell down my stairs in my home, dislocated my shoulder and crushed my rotator cuff. I did not have an orthopedic doctor so I saw Dr. Abdollahi because Mission Hospital gave me his name. After he ordered a CAT scan he told me I would need surgery to repair it (photo attached). I decided to get a 2nd opinion and went to a well known sports doctor. He told me I needed a complete shoulder replacement and that the surgery could never be done arthroscopically as Dr. Abdollahi had told me. When I returned back to discuss this with Dr. Abdollahi, he assured me, yes, he had done this surgery many times successfully arthroscopically and that I did NOT need a shoulder replacement! I believed and trusted him and made the decision to have my surgery preformed by him. Turns out it was the best decision I'd ever make! I remember when I awoke from my 4-hour surgery, he was standing at my bedside with a big smile. He told me everything went well and I was going to have a full recovery. I cannot tell you how comforting that was a that moment! I have now been in physical therapy for about two months and have regained most of the movement back in my arm. He said it will take a few months so I'm working hard as it gets better every week. I am confident I will make a full recovery. I had a Razor Scooter accident where I broke a couple of fingers, literally off my hand bone, as well as another break in my hand. The bones came through my skin and I needed stitches, and surgery to place 5 pins in my fingers so they could grow back together. I was referred to Dr. Abdollahi by a friend and was absolutely in awe at what a wonderful Doctor he is, and how amazing his entire staff are! Dr. Abdollahi called me regularly from his home to check on me after hours. He continually was checking on me and my hand and how I was feeling. I got a small infection after the pin removal procedure, and again, called me from home, and checked on me multiple times throughout the weekend! Dr. Abdollahi's bedside manner and overall approach from listening and hearing what I had to say was remarkable. Dr Abdollahi displayed skill and patience when diagnosing my rotator cuff and wrist injury. The Dr prescribed pyhsical therapy which was the correct treatment as I have recovered from the injuries. Unfortunately I met another individual who is not the doctors nurse or assistant, this happened while in the diagnosis room while the Dr was gone, see below. Caution: Proove medical labratory has an on site employee (in Dr A's office) who may ask you to sign a document giving them your approval to do genetic testing. Do not expect to be told this will result in your insurance company receiving a $4,000 + claim for one quick swab of your saliva. Also do not expect to be told Proove medical lab is not an in-network provider for Anthem Blue Cross. Ask questions if anyone other than Dr Abdollahi asks to speak with you about any treatment or services. read more

Initially, Dr Abdollahi said I had a ED fractured wrist (general). When the cast came off, my arm looked deformed. Dr Abdollahi said to wait 6 weeks for the swelling to go down and to do the exercises in the meantime. 6 weeks passes, nothing, still looks deformed. This time, Dr Abdollahi sends me to the physical therapist. At this point, I went to another doctor, Dr Ip, for a second opinion. Dr Ip said my wrist was still broken. After which, I went to the Mayo Clinic in Arizona for another opinion. Dr Smith said the diagnosis was a symptomatic malunion, right distal radius. I then had surgery to re-break the wrist and a plate put in. Dr Abdollahi has continually plagued me with bills that I have already paid him. His office was very adamant about getting paid each appointment I went to. Then, just recently, 08/24/2015, I got a statement from a collection agency saying I owed Dr Abdollahi $1842.50! The insurance company had already paid him around $1662.00 and I had paid him for each co-pay visit. 2 weeks ago, I received a statement from Dr Abdollahi's office saying I owed them $61.46 and, again, the insurance company had already paid this amount. When I called Dr Abdollahi's office to confirm that they had received this amount from the insurance company, they confirmed they had. There was no mention of the $1842.50 amount due and owing. So, make your own conclusions. read more
