I had to cancel an appointment due to an unexpected medical issue and called the office immediately to reschedule. Instead of showing any understanding, I was told I would be charged a $145 cancellation fee -- even after offering to provide a doctor's note confirming the medical situation. The office refused to accept it and said I could not reschedule unless I paid the fee. When I reviewed the financial agreement, it only listed a range of possible fees -- it did not state that the charge was mandatory or specify exact amounts for missed appointments. When I asked for additional documentation or written policy to support their decision, I was told none existed. For a healthcare provider, I find this lack of compassion, flexibility, and transparency very disappointing. Medical issues are often unpredictable, and I expected a much more understanding and professional approach from a dental office. Unfortunately, this experience showed otherwise.

The first one was "a failure". Ok fine, it had to come out & a new one put in. It literally took months for everything to heal in between visits & what not. I was due for a follow-up in October of 2020, in the heat of Covid. Allegedly I missed this appointment. In December of 2020 I, along with my family, contracted Covid. I was hospitalized & on oxygen. Christmas Eve, 2020, my mother passed from Covid. My father was hospitalized for 3 months, then released in my care due to dementia. Allegedly I missed another appointment in January of 2021 while I was healing & grieving the death of my mother. Fast forward to today, the implant is giving me issues. It's tender, sore & I was told by my dentist that there's some bone loss. I call Dr. Sindoni's office to get back in there to see what's going on & I'm informed by STEPHANIE, that I'm a "non-compliant" patient for allegedly no-showing at my previous appointments. I explained to her what happened & where my life, head & heart were at the time & she didn't care! All she kept saying was that I was non-compliant. She's rude, bitchy & knows there will be zero repercussion as the doctor is her husband. There is no more $$$ to be made on me. They already robbed me and now won't follow through on THEIR workmanship. STEPHANIE informed me that this was an "investment" and it was up to me to "protect my investment"=we're not taking responsibility for any issues in the future. Tread carefully! I thought a filling would do however that was not to be the case. I have an EXTREMELY high tolerance to novocaine. After four attempts at numbing my lower gums my normal dentist conceded defeat. She suggested that I try Buffalo Oral Surgery and hopefully get sedated for an extraction. It was with heavy heart that I made my appointment. Today was the day. I had a female surgeon/dentist. In my angst over this procedure I didn't get her name. She sat and spoke to me about the anesthetic issue and then started shooting me up. It took her about four tries as well. She had me open my mouth and I assumed she was just checking to see if the local was working. She spoke to me about a number of things and then sat back and said the words I so longed to hear - "You are finished. The tooth is gone". YES! Other than my anxiety there was nothing to bother me. The actual extraction was perhaps a minute or two? It took longer for the local to kick in. Am I over my fear of sharp objects in my mouth? Not in this lifetime however I know now that procedures don't need to be painful to be effective.

I said I will call back in a few days once I have her school schedule and mine to book appt. Here's where it gets interesting folks , when calling back I get a lady that says it first up to the surgeon if they will remove the wisdom tooth,(really ! ) . I said it was already reviewed & confirmed and if she looked up her name after I told her , before responding with an attitude because it was in notes. Then was transferred to another scheduler "Peggy" she again said they couldn't give me their specific availability unless I gave them deposit . A freaking $30 deposit , I said we are putting the cart before the horse. Who will give a deposit without knowing what day they have for availability. This is not customer service at its best but all about the all all mighty dollar. You don't get my business , what if there a medical issue after the extraction ? Will the service be tough luck with a kick out the door. No thanks. Whoever is in charge do better and take customer service 101 . Your a DISGRACE !!
