I recently visited this dental office for a tooth extraction, and I have mixed feelings about the experience. First, I want to say that the office staff were absolutely lovely. From the moment I walked in, everyone was warm, friendly, and welcoming. They made sure I felt comfortable and well-informed about the procedure, which really put me at ease before the extraction. The receptionist, dental hygienist, and assistants were all kind, caring, and professional, and I genuinely appreciated their positive attitudes. However, my experience with the dentist who performed my first tooth extraction was far less positive. Unfortunately, this particular dentist was distant, cold, and seemed to lack the empathy that I had hoped for during a potentially stressful procedure. I was in a great deal of pain during the extraction, and instead of offering reassurance or trying to make me more comfortable, the dentist seemed detached and unconcerned. I felt like my discomfort was ignored, and the whole experience was far more painful and stressful than I had anticipated. It was incredibly disheartening to feel like my well-being wasn't a priority. I debated and went back and forth on whether or not to say their name, as normally I would never directly call someone out like that. However in this case I feel it is extremely necessary to try and help prevent someone else going through an experience I wouldn't wish on an enemy. My recommendation is to steer far and clear away from Dr. Singh at all cost and request another dentist. Determined to give the office another chance, I returned for a follow-up and was scheduled with a different doctor. This time Dr. Asahara. What a difference! This new dentist was absolutely amazing - not only was he incredibly friendly and approachable, but he was also highly skilled and efficient. He took the time to explain everything, listen to my concerns, and make sure I was comfortable throughout the entire procedure. The extraction was smooth, painless, and done with such care that I hardly felt any discomfort. His positive attitude and professionalism truly made the experience stress-free, and I left feeling grateful for the excellent care I received. With him its 20 stars out of 5. In summary, I had a very mixed experience at this dental office. While the staff is wonderful and supportive, I would definitely recommend requesting a specific doctor if you're anxious about the procedure. The second dentist I saw was truly outstanding, and I would happily go back to him in the future. I'm glad I gave the office another chance, but I do hope they can work on ensuring that all of their dentists provide a more compassionate and caring experience for patients. So in all it was tough to give them 4 stars, however with all the great staff, Dr. Asahara, and the nice clean office I leaned on giving them 4 stars. read more

My insurance changed and I had to pick a new dentist so I was calling around asking who accepted my insurance. One office said a lot of negative things about Aspen dental and I was a bit turned off by all the negative reviews, however, Aspen accepted my insurance. So I went in for x rays and an exam today and I could not have been more surprised with how nice everyone was. Deanna was thorough with my x rays and Taylor the hygienist was super nice and informative. The office is clean and actually calming for a dentist office. Came in when my dentures broke. They were able to fix quickly and affordably. Got an X-ray and consultation while there. Found out I could get my old dentures replaced for much less than I expected. Every person I dealt with was kind and took the time to explain every step and cost before I made a decision. read more

If I could give them a negative number, I would. They placed a crown on my tooth. I went back 2 weeks later complaining after the holiday that the crown was chipping and "didn't feel right". They blew me off and said "the crown is fine but the white part on top was chipping which is no big deal, just cosmetic". They would not replace. I couldn't afford to go to another place to fix it, Now a year later, because Aspen did not do the crown correctly, My crown got loose and had an abscess and had to have the tooth extracted. Do Not... I Repeat.. Do not go to Aspen Dental. Thinking of calling a lawyer to get my money back plus pain and suffering and loss of tooth. Not sure which situation has angered me more: my wisdom tooth extraction which has left me with lingering pain and several complications (6 months ago), spending 3 hours trying to get a hold of someone on the emergency line at Aspen and then never getting a call back, or having to spend $800 out of pocket at a different office to have an emergency root canal to fix a dangerous infection because Aspen's "hands were tied" and they could only book me an appointment two weeks out. Luckily Apex Endotontics in Tonawanda was able to get me in immediately. I' d recommend them to anyone on here looking to get a procedure done. read more

STOP don't give these ppl your service they are crooks and price gaugers , My family has very good insurance ,no up front out of pocket cost ,and $1,200 yearly coverage. But when you go here they call you in their office with an "office manager " and they want you to have all the items that are not covered under your plan‼ ex. My daughter went she needs caps (which are covered under ins) but the only caps they use are the clear ones with is more of a cosmetic type cap hum so you HAVE to get that !!! Aspen dental has always been a great dentist for me with never asking for extra unnecessary procedures. When they accidentally undercharged me $1,300 for my wisdom teeth to be removed they didn't even try to ask me to pay the full bill they just took it as a loss right away!!! ( I had 4 wisdom teeth removed and they accidentally only charged me for 2). Always a fun and friendly staff there especially on my most recent visit. I'm writing this with complete and utter disgrace. I have not been to the dentist in about a year and trusted the workers at aspen. I thought they would take good Care of me and consider my feelings. I scheduled to have my wisdom teeth out for today. And let me tell you, it was the absolute worst experience I have ever encountered in my life. The doctor pulled me in a back room and started being sarcastic with me about things which I had stated to them that I was nervous and that jokes were not helping me feel relaxed. I also expressed other concerns and asked questions such as "how long does this procedure normally last?" And he laughed and said 20 minutes. I was freaked out and was asking for some closure and his response was "If you can't be calm we can't do the surgery" and "you should be on anxiety medication " I should have known to leave right there and then. The doctor started with the IV. I was laying down at this point and he proceeded to put a device in my mouth. I must have tilted my head a bit unknowingly and he threw his hands up and said "listen you need to relax or you're going to have to leave." At that point I did not do or say anything to upset the doctor. I began shaking uncontrollably and by this time the IV was starting to kick in. I had no time to feel reassured or relaxed about the surgery. During the surgery I became very agitated because I felt everything they were doing. I cried, I curled my feet, my blood pressure was way higher than normal. I acted this way because I had no control over what I felt. Anyone who can feel four teeth getting pulled and felt it would have acted the exact same way. Instead of politely telling me it was over, the doctor laughed as I was trying to sit myself up. At this point I could not speak about what I had felt but instead he approached me and said "what, are you mad at me?" Not, "everything is ok" or "you don't have to worry about the headaches anymore you're going to feel better now." I couldn't believe what just happened. I am never returning to this establishment. I feel so disrespected as a person and a patient. I would advise people to reconsider before ever considering this place. read more

Word to the wise, check what your insurance is paying, they over charged me on two occasions. Check out the BBB page on them, I am NOT an isolated case. Edited to add that they charge your insurance company but still tell you that you owe money. Let me save you the headache of even stepping foot into the disgusting money hungry establishment. Went in for an appointment because I had some pain happening in my (what I thought) was my second to last molar. I show up for my 3:45pm appointment a little early to fill out paperwork, I was not seed until almost 5pm with no explanation. They take x-rays which was fine and then I get seated in the exam chair and the "dentist" if that's what I can even call her doesnt say a word to me. She taps once on my tooth with a mirror and says root canal or extraction, no other tests no poking or air blown on my tooth NOTHING!!! After my $3200 quote and them telling me I dont have my last molar (which i do? So idk where the confusion came from? And then the RECEPTIONIST changing my dental record?) I decided to get a second opinion. I go to a REAL dentist and come to find out I dont need a root canal, my filling chipped on my LAST MOLAR which aspen told me I didnt even have. Not only was aspen going to give me a root canal that I didnt even need (or extraction) THEY WERE GOING TO DO SO ON THE WRONG TOOTH. Good job Aspen dental on almost having ANOTHER lawsuit on your hands. Please save yourself and your teeth and do NOT go here. They are so accomodating and even have late working hours on Tuesdays and are open on Saturdays. They offer payment plans for patients like me who need a lot of work done. I feel confident that that Dr. Singh is the best Doctor in the world! My hygenist, Darlene is so gentle and makes my teeth feel like they're brand new. I always know what to expect with them and they take the time to sit down with you and go over all questions regarding treatment, scheduling, and insurances. I saw the review that Jasmine B wrote in 2013 but obviously she hasn't been into the office in a long time. They honor all prices they estimate even if your insurance comes back and denies claims or under pays. You'll never have any surprise bills, which in this case - being that I'm a single mother, I can truly appreciate. I'd absolutely recommend them, and have to everyone and anyone I know. Wow. From the second I walked in the door this place was a disappointment. I arrived early for my appointment, and I had already filled out the new patient forms and brought them with me thinking that this would expedite things- boy was I wrong. May I also mention I brought all of my records from my previous dentist including X-rays. I waited until almost 9:30- for my 9a appointment, which I had arrived ~8:45. One women who had arrived at the same time as me was taken in ahead of me (rightfully so), but another women who walked in quite a bit after me, was also taken before me. So already, things were not looking good. Finally I was taken to the back where I was told the doctor would be in shortly. She proceeded to come in took a brief look at my teeth, told me I had a bunch of cavities that needed to be fixed and slight reversible gingivitis. After that she said I could meet with manager to discuss plan and schedule appointments. As I was waiting for someone to talk to the doctor came in again and asked if I still had my wisdom teeth? I do not, which she would have known if she bothered to look at my records or my X-rays that I brought with me. No cleaning? yep that's right, the appointment I scheduled for 6mo dental exam, rads, and cleaning, was not for a cleaning at all-even thou I scheduled like that- I was told it was a initial new patient appointment and they do not do cleanings at that time. Then after going over the plan I was quoted an obscene amount, this dentist is in-network with my insurance and it would cost the same if not more than my old dentist that was out of network!!! So I proceeded to Schedule a cleaning only, which I could either wait or come back this afternoon for and because of the condition of my gums/teeth the cleaning would need to be done in 2 parts- initial and then again in ~10days ( which is standard procedure- it had been done at my previous dentist), I was told the first cleaning would be covered by insurance , but the second one would not. Then the women proceeded to tell me that I would need to pay for some of it now ~$90 and would owe the remainder when I came in for the second cleaning. Ummmm why!?! Why am I paying anything today??? You just told me the first cleaning is covered. And WHY, would I be required to pay prior to anything being done!?! She then told me in order to keep my appointment I would need to pay some of it now. Ummm shady much!?! Needless to say I cancelled my appointment. I will NEVER be returning here again, and will not recommend this place to anyone. What a scam! Oh, and when I left I requested a copy of the records from today, and they refused to release them to me, said that if I go somewhere else they can call and request them. I am returning to my dentist who I have used since I was a little kid, I regret ever leaving and giving this place a try. I would rather pay more out of pocket then return here. Scam alert!!!!!!!!! This was the only close choice of dentists for my new health insurance. It's like the fantastic sams of dentists. Ok, a chain, whatever. I lived 30 years without a cavity & had my teeth cleaned in March. I'd like to add that due to health reasons I've been on a no sugar diet. Well the dr found 7 cavities. So 30 years with perfect teeth & 6 months on a no sugar diet equal 7 cavities? Hmmmm. When I called her out on it she immediately shut down & her assistant said "well you drink coffee" black coffee has sugar in it? Hmmmm. Dr stopped talking to me & the office manager wanted me to make an appointment immediately for 7 fillings. I told her I need a second opinion. She also shut down & I left. Called my family dentist (even though they don't accept my insurance) surprise!!!! No cavities just stains from drinking too much coffee. This place is a scam on the poor (you don't need insurance, offer payment plans, free cleanings, free x-rays) then they get you with unnecessary charges & maim your mouth for $$$$. I'm disgusted that a "dr" would do this to people, many people can't just go to a reputable dentist for honest health care & rely on these snake oil folks. Advice- go to UB if you need dental care, since they are teachers and receive federal funds they can't lie to you to make a quick buck. **edit*** just came back from an actual dentist... no cavities just some stains due to my coffee addiction. I also was overbilled. They claimed insurance would cover it, then later said "oops, it turns out it wasn't covered". I ended up paying hundreds for routine cleaning, x-rays etc that should have been paid in full by insurance. Are they bad at submitting claims? Do they intentionally lie? I don't know, but it seems fishy to me. On a different matter, my wife asked for composite fillings but was given metal fillings instead! She also reports the dentist did not seem to do very much to decrease her discomfort during the procedure, chatting up a storm with coworkers instead of suctioning saliva and such. Aspen's hygienist is great, but I didn't like their billing and my wife didn't like the dentist. If you just go in for cleanings and verify with your insurance company what they are supposed to pay for it might work great. But if you need major work done, watch out. read more

I visited this office for a cleaning and they found a slew of problems, including my first cavity, in a tooth that never experienced any pain until after they gave me a filling. I was also told that I should get my wisdom teeth removed to prevent potential future problems. I scheduled an appointment for the 1 day of the month the oral surgeon is in. The procedure was not terrible but I was rushed out afterward with very little information on post-op care. I had to go back to see the surgeon within 20 minutes of leaving because blood was pooling and pouring out of my mouth and I wasn't sure if that was normal. The surgeon took care of it but it would have been nice to have been told how to handle that situation before leaving the office the first time. I was actually very pleased to see that the prescribed pain medication after the surgery was only 15 Tylenol 3's (vs the 60 percocets that many other doctors prescribe, unnecessarily). However, after taking 1, along with 3 Motrins, I was still in excruciating pain and when I called the office to see if there was anything else I could do, I was treated like a junkie and told the doctor would not prescribe anything else. I will not be returning for any sort of oral surgery. read more

Wow I all I have to say for this office. Now I am going to be honest, no...I am not a big fan of the dentist. Nobody can honestly say they enjoy having someone poke around at their teeth but I can now say I am not afraid of going back anymore. Honestly from the moment you step in the door you will feel welcome. I was a new patient, very nervous to start my extensive dental journey. The moment I walked in, the sweet brunette at the front desk made me feel welcome. She explained to me how to fill out my paper work and even complimented me on my nails. So sweet and made me feel so welcome! Then the dental assistants have to be some of the best in Cheektowaga. So friendly and nice. The doctor there is phenomenal and is beyond intelligent and I can tell she knows exactly what she's doing and genuinely cares about her patients well being. After my visit with the doctor, I was brought over to the office manager who was helping me figure out what my insurance would cover and wouldn't cover. Never once did she make me feel stupid or unwelcome for not understanding terms or why I needed something done. She also had really great chemistry with the other girl behind the front desk and I could tell they made a great team. All in all it was a great experience and I can't wait for my next visit!!! read more
