Good Doctor. Both internal medicine and sports medicine with a holistic approach. Been seeing him for a couple of years.

Good old -fashion Doctor who takes a genuine interest in his patients health and well being…read more Reminds me of the turn-of the century type of doctor who used to make house calls. Has a calming demeanor. Does not treat patients like a number but asks AND REMEMBERS individual life events. My family used to go to his office in Mt Airy but closed it a few years ago. We felt so comfortable with Dr. Harding that we decided to follow him to the Olney office which is 30 minutes away. I do agree with the other reviewer, to a degree, that Dr. Harding is quick to prescribe medicine that sometimes treats the symptoms and not always the root cause. This may be an overly-compassionate desire to relieve discomfort in his patients. In any case, I believe everyone has to be their own health care advocate by asking lots of questions or have someone to act in that capacity. I was impressed to learn that Dr. Harding shares his time and talents with others who are less fortunate by financing his own mission trips abroad to assist patients in under-privileged countries who cannot afford or do not have access to modern health care. This speaks volumes to his compassion. My only other complaint is that I cannot remember the offices hours which are consistent week to week but not standard day-to-day -- but that is my issue as I cannot instantly the office hours for any given day but instead have to reference it. But that is a minor inconvenience and more of a burden on my memory than anything else.

I've been prescribed medication that I have a contraindication for (and they knew about the contraindication as I had seen them about that as well). I've also had Dr. Harding call to let me know that my results were back with nothing to worry about, and then had the admin staff call me later to talk about the surgery I would need. I've also had issues with the radiology people screwing up my test prep, causing a 20 minute procedure to instead take 2 hours! While I understand the radiology people are not part of his office, they are part of the care team.

Dr patel was our doctor for more than 3 years. However last month me and my wife went (after more than year) to see Doctor and did regular blood work(vitamin B, Vitamin d, calcium, cholesterol, blood sugar). After 15 days, we got bill of total $500($300 from LabCorp) and $200 from doctor office visit. I called my insurance and LabCorp for charges. They said "you got bills because doctor used different codes while generating blood work order". I called doctors office and front desk staff and billing lady talked very rudely and scared us to pay bills or face collection. She didn't even try to explain what are those charges and showed no courtesy. Ironically I left voicemails to doctor but didn't hear back from him and it's been more than 15 days. Don't go to this doctors office. I would give 0 star if possible.

The staff is always friendly and they have a good relationships with many of there patients. However getting an appointment can be a challenge. After an accident I couldn't get in to see anyone for more than a week. Additionally, the volume of patients they see limit there response time with lab results and can be very frustrating. Over all I think Dr.Patel and the nurse practitioner are a good option for most people.
