Good old -fashion Doctor who takes a genuine interest in his patients health and well being…read more Reminds me of the turn-of the century type of doctor who used to make house calls. Has a calming demeanor. Does not treat patients like a number but asks AND REMEMBERS individual life events. My family used to go to his office in Mt Airy but closed it a few years ago. We felt so comfortable with Dr. Harding that we decided to follow him to the Olney office which is 30 minutes away. I do agree with the other reviewer, to a degree, that Dr. Harding is quick to prescribe medicine that sometimes treats the symptoms and not always the root cause. This may be an overly-compassionate desire to relieve discomfort in his patients. In any case, I believe everyone has to be their own health care advocate by asking lots of questions or have someone to act in that capacity. I was impressed to learn that Dr. Harding shares his time and talents with others who are less fortunate by financing his own mission trips abroad to assist patients in under-privileged countries who cannot afford or do not have access to modern health care. This speaks volumes to his compassion. My only other complaint is that I cannot remember the offices hours which are consistent week to week but not standard day-to-day -- but that is my issue as I cannot instantly the office hours for any given day but instead have to reference it. But that is a minor inconvenience and more of a burden on my memory than anything else.

I've been prescribed medication that I have a contraindication for (and they knew about the contraindication as I had seen them about that as well). I've also had Dr. Harding call to let me know that my results were back with nothing to worry about, and then had the admin staff call me later to talk about the surgery I would need. I've also had issues with the radiology people screwing up my test prep, causing a 20 minute procedure to instead take 2 hours! While I understand the radiology people are not part of his office, they are part of the care team.

Dr patel was our doctor for more than 3 years. However last month me and my wife went (after more than year) to see Doctor and did regular blood work(vitamin B, Vitamin d, calcium, cholesterol, blood sugar). After 15 days, we got bill of total $500($300 from LabCorp) and $200 from doctor office visit. I called my insurance and LabCorp for charges. They said "you got bills because doctor used different codes while generating blood work order". I called doctors office and front desk staff and billing lady talked very rudely and scared us to pay bills or face collection. She didn't even try to explain what are those charges and showed no courtesy. Ironically I left voicemails to doctor but didn't hear back from him and it's been more than 15 days. Don't go to this doctors office. I would give 0 star if possible.

The staff is always friendly and they have a good relationships with many of there patients. However getting an appointment can be a challenge. After an accident I couldn't get in to see anyone for more than a week. Additionally, the volume of patients they see limit there response time with lab results and can be very frustrating. Over all I think Dr.Patel and the nurse practitioner are a good option for most people.

DO IT! IT IS EXACTLY AS ADVERTISED!…read moreTHEY WILL NOT TRY TO SELL YOU ANYTHING ONCE YOU ARRIVE! No pills, no supplements, no food, no bars, nothing else!! These are people that truly care about what happens to you. They are not marketing anything else but a happier, healthier, you. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ "The Rest Of The Story" I wanted help getting started on weight loss (70-100lbs) & learning how to eat better. I'm all about meat, potatoes, cheese & diary. I can only tolerate about 4 vegetables & 2 fruits. Nonetheless, I want this to be the last time I have to go from obese to normal. It sounds too good to be true so I was skeptical. Having been a civilian employee for the Police Dept for 20+yrs just adds to the skepticism. My world has changed drastically from being a married carefree adult only child to caretaking a few yrs apart for divorced parents who lost their battles with cancer. After losing my mom exactly 3 yrs ago today (Wow. I just realized this. Divine intervention.), I then lost over a dozen other family members, friends, and parents of friends who were so important to me growing up. The last 3 yrs have been rough. It's time to do this for me. :-) I joined the website. There were no new classes to join last fall but I wanted to be notified when a new class began. In the winter I received a kind, friendly & informative call offering to let me join the "maintenance" classes (at a cost, but that's only fair) until a new class opened up. I was urged to join this class because most often when people say they are ready to lose weight, you should really pounce on the momentum THEN (my words). The motivation may dissipate. I agree, it's usually true. But I knew for me, it was different this time & I was determined to wait for a new class. I also questioned why they wanted my money so badly. Why would I join a maintenance class? Who wants to be fat in a room full of normal? What are they selling?? It's not often an only-child-brat admits they're wrong! I was completely wrong. They are not selling pills, supplements, bars, shakes... they are not selling you anything. HONEST TO GOD. I can't tell you how relieved I was to learn this after being there. Hard to believe, they actually just want you to live long, be happy, avoid diabetes, heart problems, etc. And the "maintenance" classes? They vary from people like me who just finished the initial 6 wk class to those who have lost their weight... every phase of the journey is represented. I absolutely COULD have started in those classes as proposed to me initially. (Note to administrators - maybe it shouldn't be called a maintenance class?) There is a primary care doctor who has shown up to 3 of the 6 classes. (Where does he find the time? I have a doctor who has heard about Dr. Taubman & thrilled to know he was leading this.) A psychotherapist leads 3 classes and focuses on what you're gaining not what you're losing, mindfulness & how powerful your brain is in this journey. A dietician leads 3 classes. (If you bring up a study you recently read where "x" food is bad or good for you... 99.9% of the time he has read it too, found out the details/background, who funded the study, and read about the research that came before it & after it!) Sometimes they're there together. And they're all available to you by email/phone. I have now been through the 6-wk beginner's class & have learned so much. I've "only" lost 9lbs but I did it on MY terms. Could I have been more gung-ho & lost 20? Considering my current size, probably. But that's not me. There are no "you HAVE to cut out" this or "this week you HAVE to x, y or z". It's information, tons of information. Sharing. Affirmation. Different approaches. Menus & recipes to try *if you want*. You take what you want from each class & use it as you see fit. Want to be a vegan? Come to the class! Want to stay meat & potatoes like me? Surprise! Do whatever you want. But you CAN make healthier choices and find out that some things actually taste good. Things you hated? Try x this way instead... wow, that wasn't so bad. That's actually do-able! It's do-able. AND it's exactly as advertised. A rare thing in 2016!
