We're an hour away, and I had been trying to get local chimney sweeps and masons to come deal with our house for years. I'd get an estimate, and then no one would follow up. Bone Dry showed up when they said they would, did what they said they would do, were respectful to my house, property, and people, and cleaned up after they left. We had three different crews come through to address each phase of the work, and everyone was professional, friendly, and communicative. There were a couple of small bumps, but they handled them professionally and quickly. I was, all in all, very pleased with their performance. I'm a building professional myself, and very much appreciate what they do. They're good people, and did a very good job for me. Pricing was reasonable '(this stuff is expensive - brace yourself, but these guys don't overcharge) I'd hire them again without a second thought.

Followed up a few years later by issues where moisture was entering our house through an access point and causing damage to our ceiling. They took partial blame for the situation and repaired things with partial charges. Most recently after a storm, they checked my roof and determined it was OK, but a rake board had come loose and the sales rep showed me a video verifying the need for repair. I consented. When they came to do the repair, it wound up being a simple 'nail back in place job', which was not what all I thought it would necessarily be. Combined with a single loose piece of siding that was also nailed back into place, I was charged $665 for a 10-15 minute job that required basically no materials. When I shared my concern that I felt the charge was excessive for the work performed, I was basically dismissed and charged the full amount. I realize I signed the contract, I simply didn't think the job warranted the full charge. I appreciate they got on a ladder and did work I wasn't comfortable or knowledgable enough to do, and felt a slightly lesser charge seemed to make sense for what they did. Guess I will look elsewhere for future jobs after the lack of understanding to work with me.

There seems to be a huge lack of communication between the owners and their crew. They were scheduled to start on a Monday and were going to drop off a trailer the day before... well that ended up being Friday night and in the way... They knew when had special needs and made it seem as though they were going to accommodate this. Well, they feel short on this by making it hard to get a wheelchair in the house with this realtor in the way. The next stumbling block was how the crew just left things all over, moved things they didn't need to, and left a mess. We were told all done in one day... the removal of the old roof, the installation of new roof, putting things back, and cleanup. Well, this didn't happen... had to call and say there was trash around the yard, planters were not put back, etc. The next was the nails left in the driveway and sidewalk, something the said would happen... had to triple-check the area before any cars were parked. The driveway was left with a big stain. Yes, it all was taken care of, but only after several calls. This was followed by the owner stating that they always come back the next day to clean up. (Note: as stated above everything should be done in one day??? Also checked with neighbors that had them do work and it was all same day...) Well, to say frustration was part of the experience is an understatement. Big promises, big expectations, big disappointment in the end. Seemed to be more worried about when they'd get paid then great customer service. Two stars only because the job seems to be done well in the end... make sure you get all the fact and details before investing with this company!
