I was diagnosed, at 25 years old, with a protruding disc in l4-l5 and an extruding disc with an annual fissure in l5-s1, and stenosis. I was in a lot of PAIN. I was overweight, and feeling helpless and overcome by my injury. ENTER OSPI! I worked with Renee, PA on building an incredible program for me including injections, physical therapy and chiropractic ALL in the same building. I worked with amazing individuals at PT (special shout out to David, Eric and Ken!) to slowly build my body up to what I never thought I'd be able to do again. It was a long process over several months, with often tri-weekly appointments, but they never gave up on me! Now I've lost 50 (even I can't believe it!), but 50 pounds!! My strength, endurance, and core strength are back and I feel like I can meet all my current and future fitness goals without being held back by my back pain. And Dr. Jeff, the chiropractor, is an absolute delight. He's brilliant in his work. He's very helpful, informative and never fails to make you laugh even in the worst of situations like chronic pain. He helped my lower back enormously and never forgot to also tend to my other areas of pain. I am eternally grateful to OSPI, and will never miss the pain that brought us together, but will certainly miss this facility of talented, and caring practitioners.

Extremely Disappointing Experience - Elite Pain and Spine Institute…read more I had an 8:30 a.m. appointment at Elite Pain and Spine Institute. I arrived at 8:00 a.m., completed all the new patient paperwork, and prepaid for my visit. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. As someone who has worked in the medical field, I understand how scheduling works. I know that appointments can run behind, unexpected situations arise, and patients sometimes require additional time. I have patience and understand the realities of running a medical practice. However, what happened during my visit was unacceptable. I waited until approximately 8:55 a.m. before my name was called. Another patient with the same appointment time was also called, and we were taken into separate rooms. They proceeded to see the other patient while I continued waiting. Eventually, someone came into my room and simply repeated the same information I had already provided on my paperwork. Afterward, she told me the doctor would be back shortly. I continued waiting until 9:15 a.m., at which point I had still not seen the doctor. I finally decided I had waited long enough and walked out. When I requested a refund, I was told I would have to wait because the payment had been processed through a corporate account. As someone in the medical field, I understand delays. What I do not understand is the lack of communication, consideration, and respect for a patient's time. If the office was running behind, a simple explanation and an estimated wait time would have been appreciated. Instead, I was left sitting in a room with no meaningful update. I also learned a valuable lesson: I will never prepay for a medical appointment again. This was an extremely disappointing first experience. I expect better from a medical practice, and I will not be returning. I hope management takes this review seriously and looks at how appointments are scheduled, how delays are communicated, and how refunds are handled. They call me and leave voice mail saying "we have your results please call us back" I claim back and confirm and my personal information to verify my identity to get results to be informed dr Weinstein requires it to be in person. I don't drive. Doctor office is 40 minutes away. I was told we could do telehealth and it's even notated on my account. And they're still trying to to force me to come into the office when it's impossible to make it over there. They even informed me that doctor weinstein could easily just call me "if he wanted to" and was completely up to him. What a solid guy. Appreciate you wasting 5 months of my time and giving me zero answers and not sharing results with my listed pcp like I've asked and communicated. Dignity health & this doctor have been hell to work with. Aswell as your team. Waiting 2-3 weeks when your patient communicates there not sleeping and dying of pain. You think you'd have some urgency to get him answers and communicate professionally as someone who practices medicine for a living. I'm now going to be getting another referral waiting weeks to go to another office because of the unprofessionalism practices from this office. And having to go get more imaging and expose myself to more bullshit. And waste more time. You guys are extremely careless and your healthcare system sucks.

I say this because if I were new to him calling in my medication advising when I requested my refill this month that the amount called in for last month was incorrect and he would hear me request the correct amount of 70. He would of heard what I said in the VM that the prior month the incorrect amount of 60 was called in and I was advising 70 is the correct amount and was making sure correct amount was called in this month that what he would of heard and he would of check my prescriptions and confirmed what I advised and called it in vs Tiffany not checking my prior scripts and refusing to call in the correct of 70 saying I need to be seen for an increase which is what happened..My doctor if for him a patient needed to be seen every 4 weeks for a medication refill appointment saw didn't come in for a 4 week medication refill appointment but saw the appointment I have next week for a med refill he wouldn't just refuse my refill request but he would look to see why and would see that since I started with the practice it has always been come in every other month for med refill not every 4 weeks and I promise you he would of called in my refills vs holding my refills until I came in last minute appointment for a med refill appointment and the reason he would do that is because he's not going to penalize me for something I was never told because that's not fair but Tiffany didn't take the time to view my chart and see it's every other month nor was she taking into account that she never told me to come back n 4 weeks for a med refill appointment but she did try to penalize me by refusing to send my refills until I came in for a medication refill and if it wasn't for my incredible doctor I would of had to wait until my appointment on Wednesday for my refills to be called in so yes he is an incredible doctor that cares about the well being of his patients

Immediate relief included no longer feeling numbness down my right arm and my first three fingers. That had been a problem for years. I intentionally delayed in writing a review as I wanted to carry out the physical and mental actions/activities that would normally cause me neck, shoulder, shoulder blade, triceps and bicep, pain. The pain is either no longer there or minimal (and diminishing). I am grateful for finally making the effort to have the surgery. I highly recommend Desert Spine and Scoliosis Center. -Peter

I first encountered Justin Dr. Baegs trained PA and he was very nice smart, knowledgeable and able to explain my MRI results and what they could do to help me. In the same visit I met Dr Baeg he explained further my problems and what he could do to fix my problems. I had been having leg pain due to pressure on my spine in lumbar area and he was certain that would go away after surgery. I had a prior surgery consult with another surgery group and they stated they would not be able to fix my entire problem! No thanks if you can't complete the job you're not touching Me is what I'm thinking! So we proceeded with surgery for lumbar fusion and disc replacement and fix my scoliosis. Surgery went well with all of us with short hospital stay and recovery was great! Dr Baeg is a wonderful surgeon and he even told me that he didn't fuse down too far as to give me more mobility and that he would have done the same for his mother! I thanked him for that!! All of his office staff are very nice and very organized like a well oiled machine! I'm sure Dr Baeg would not accept anything less working for him! I totally trust Dr Baeg with his honesty, ability and professionalism and surgical skills!

Dr. Yu kept changing my prescriptions for items not in his lane. My health insurance and the…read morepharmacy contacted me several times each prescription he would write me due to the contraindications in medications. This happened with no less than four medications. I do not feel like Dr. Yu listened or looked at my meds or chart. Dr. Yu sent my medications to a different pharmacy than my requested pharmacy. I believe he is part owner of this pharmacy? When my medications came to my home they were so hot and when medications are in the heat for long they are ruined. I finally had my pharmacy change them back so they would not all expire in the heat. It was a process. I do not feel like Dr. Yu took me and my healthcare seriously. I feel he was more interested in money. I asked about several issues and he said they do not do them in his office due to insurance issues. That insurance only pays .25$ cents for trigger shots. He charged me $165 for trigger shots where he left bruises all over my shoulders. Plus, part of the one muscle on my shoulder was left in a bulging state and was hyper sensitive. When anything touched my shoulder at night or sitting down it would send me flying up. Dr. Yu and his office were supposed to fax paperwork to get medication approved for me. My insurance program manager called them no less than four times and worked with the pharmacy company to try and get the medication approved. However, all they needed was a simple note from the doctor saying he had prescribed x, y, and z for me before. His office did not follow through. The worst issue was having to listen to Dr. Yu tell me how pretty he thought I was every visit. This is completely unprofessional. I do not care if you think your patient needs self confidence. There are boundaries and this crosses several of them. Someone from the ethics board needs to look into Dr. Yu. Please!
