Run away. Dr. Suh is highly inappropriate, and unprofessional. He proclaims to have so much experience and that he knows so much, but he's a scam artist. He's rough, doesn't explain what he's doing before he does it. If you disagree with him or challenge him in any way, he gets upset. I challenged him by questioning his direction of treatment because I got a second opinion, and he said, "Did you look that up on the internet?". He doesn't give you a chance to express your concerns before his hands are in your mouth. I have been a health care professional for over 10 years, and I have never treated any patient this way. I did not even able to see the dentist. Too many crap happened before I see the doctor and decided to walked away from them. By looking at Yelp Reviews, I am glad I did. Before I made appointment I had to call insurance company twice to have them fax over that I am a assigned patient. Is that something I have to do in a first place? I did not want to get x ray due to my existing condition and o just wanted to have teeth clean up. Receptionist did not want to let me do that. She said she did not let me see the doctor unless I had x ray. I asked my information sheet with my personal info before I leave because I do not know how they do with my personal info but she declined to give it back to me. Always follow his method of getting your pictures and teeth checked out first followed by your consultation on your second visit. Their goal is to avoid the patient going in to so many visits. One thing to mention to future new patients, the front office will ask you for your social security number for insurance billing purposes. Word of advice, contact your insurance company first to verify this before giving out your social security number. I went to this dentist since my husband went there... I notice right away the doctor was trying to over charge me... He tried to sell me braces and I told him I wasn't interested... I'm 38 and I love my little gap. He really pushed the issue. I had to tell him several times no no no... Then the price for the other services kept going up... This was worrisome... Then he wanted to change all my silver filling to white ceramic. I was on the fence until we saw that he wanted to do them all in a few months time... My insurance would only cover one every 6 months (I have 5 fillings) Dr. Suh was try to have me pay the difference... That is unethical... Furthermore He told me I needed periodontal maintenance... My teeth are amazingly clean and I floss twice a day... I have always had regular cleanings... After I left their office last month, I've had my teeth examined by two different dentist. Doctor Cohen in San Pedro and Dr. Kristin Wehrle who is doing my implants at USC Dental School (for about 1/3 the price Dr. Suh quoted me!) That's was unbelievable ... Both said, I didn't need the deep cleaning or the periodontal maintenance... I just had my teeth cleaned yesterday (5/22/17) and I waited to write this review until that cleaning so I could prove he's trying to bill for unnecessary procedures. When I was seeing Sarah the office manager to get all the pricing I was told, I HAD to get the periodontal maintenance or Dr. Suh wouldn't be able to see me as a patient... I was floored!!! Then they suggested I get a second insurance to help cover some of their $7300 bill... That was scandalous... I walked out then remember, I want copy of my Xray's and they charged me $25 to send them to me via email.... He charges each patient $40 for dental models of your teeth and he refused to release those to exiting patient's... Watch out he's going to try to sell you a $300 tooth brush! And when he said he's going to treat you like his own family... You heard it here... Run don't walk to anyone else! I don't write many Yelp reviews, but I am glad to write this one... DO NOT TRUST their billing person/system. In April 2019 they charged me $65.00 for something that I did not get "Application of Desensitizing Medicament". I asked for a refund but they gave me credit instead, which I was okay with because I new I had to go back for a follow-up. When I went back today for my follow-up I HAD to tell them about the credit, if I didn't they wouldn't have applied it. But stupid me, I didn't have my credit receipt proof with me and didn't remember the amount, I trusted that their system would have the exact amount that I have a receipt for. WRONG!!! I paid for everything and went home. Now that I am checking my paperwork, the credit was for $65, they only applied $62. I called back and asked what happen to the other $3 and they said, "NO, our records only show $62". I told her that I am holding the proof in my hand and it clearly states $65 credit. She replied "No, it's not $65. The system only shows $62" what the hell!!! I don't care if it's $3 or $100! what is this? they will take advantage of people who don't check their bills.
