I just recently made the change to Dr. Bischoff as my dentist. My first impressions were that the office was very clean and organized, and the staff at the front desk were welcoming. I have been to the office a few times now and each time I was taken in within a few minutes of my appointment time. Dr. Bischoff is very gentle and comforting, explaining each step along the way so there's no surprises. Even my 79 year old mother who gets very nervous about seeing the dentist has started seeing Dr. Bischoff and loves her! All of the staff have been great, especially Monica (reception/billing), Alex (dental assistant) and Kaili (dental assistant)!! I highly recommend this office and Dr. Bischoff! read more

Beware of unnecessary and over diagnosing! I started with this dentist when I moved back to the area around 2020. I have seen a dentist regularly my entire life (my mom worked for a dentist when I was young). Prior to coming to this Dentist, I never had a cavity and never required dental work beyond regular cleanings. After the first visit, I was told I had a cavity and needed a filling. I got the filling. Within one year or so after the first filling, I went in for a regular cleaning. The hygienist (who was always AMAZING!) said that my teeth looked great. Once the Dentist came in (it was not Dr. Pinedo), she started making certain remarks about my teeth to the hygienist who was taking notes. The hygienist said, "Really?" In a very surprising and almost questioning tone. The Dentist seemed to be annoyed by her reaction. Shortly after, I was told by the Dentist that I needed FOUR additional fillings (this after the hygienist commented that my teeth and x rays looked great). I had already been skeptical because I never once had a cavity in my 35+ years of going to the Dentist. I asked the Dentist to explain to me where the cavities were on the X rays. Then I asked to see the prior X rays so I could compare the two and see where I now had cavities. The Dentist appeared to be caught off guard. I know I am not a dentist, but the two x rays looked EXACTLY the same. I could not see even the slightest difference, and I did not see anything she was trying to point out as being the cavity. I explained to her that this was surprising to me because I never had cavities before, her response was that some dental providers might be more aggressive on treatment than others. She then sort of backed away and said I could watch the areas and see how they do. I left feeling very upset and later asked for my X rays to get a second opinion. Since that appointment, I sent the X rays to the Dentist my mom worked for who is a good family friend, he did not see anything on the X rays that he would consider a cavity or that needed dental work. I also asked my children's pediatric Dentist and she too could not see anything on the x rays that she would diagnose as requiring a filling or other work. And finally, today I saw my new Dentist who looked at the X rays and saw no cavities. In fact, they took a new full set of x rays (over one year after being told I need 4 fillings) and again said I needed no dental work, I have no cavities and that my teeth look great. I usually do not make posts like this, but I feel so taken advantage of. I'm so mad that I even got one filling with this office as I probably didn't even need that one. I'm SO grateful that I listened to my gut and didn't let them give me an additional 4! I have very good insurance, and I feel like this was purely about a profit. I understand that a business wants to maximize its profits but that should be absolutely off limits when it comes to over diagnosing unnecessary medical procedures. Be sure to always ask questions when told you need medical procedures, get second opinions and always trust your gut! read more

Our children have been seeing Dr. Bischoff since our kids were little, and honestly, we couldn't be happier. She's super thorough and has taken care of every dental need for all of our kids. It's such a relief to have a dentist you can trust with your whole family. The office is welcoming, the staff is always kind, and appointments are easy to schedule. I was a patient of Dr. Pinedo about 20 years ago and recently tried to reestablish care. A few days before my appointment, I was sent forms requiring both my Social Security number and driver's license number. On the day of my appointment, I called to clarify and was told it is mandatory under their office policy and that I could not be treated without it. This is not standard at most dental offices, and because I was not comfortable providing that level of personal information, I had to cancel. I have been going to Dr. Pineda's office for over three years. Today I went in to have two fillings replaced. I was in the hands of Dr. Mann and her assistant Gabriel. And I am here to tell you I had a wonderful experience. Firstly, as always, the office was well organized, greeted warmly, and they were on time. During my procedure Dr. Mann and Gabriel communicated to me everything that they were doing and we're always asking if I was comfortable. The process was painless, even during the injection of Novacaine and after a couple hours, I was back to normal, no swelling and no drooling. I really, really wanted to give this place five stars. I'll start with the positives. I've been taken care of by Dr. Pinedo and Dr. Mann and as dentists, they do everything right. They're both professional, friendly, and capable of explaining things to laypeople without talking down. I've always been completely satisfied with all the dental work I've had done here. When it comes to cleanings from the hygienists, there are a couple that I'm very comfortable with and always give me the best care. However, when making appointments, it can be difficult to score an appointment with someone I'm comfortable with (I prefer to have cleanings done by a familiar face where she knows me and my preferences and I know her). Trying to get an appointment with the person I want is almost like pulling teeth, if you'll pardon the pun. But other than that, this is a great place for dental care. read more

I am so happy with the dental care I receive at Dr. Pinedo's office. The front office staff are always so pleasant and helpful with making my appointments, explaining my insurance benefits so I understand them and answering basic questions that I have. I am currently being treated for a dental implant by Dr. Hoy who is the most wonderful dentist, a real gem of a doctor. When I went in for my first dental implant appointment I was really scared about starting the process, but Dr. Hoy calmed my fears by taking his time to explain everything to me with his kind and patient demeanor and making sure I understood what he planned to do before moving forward with my consent. When he removed my tooth and closed up the area with sutures (a part of the dental implant process), I did not feel a thing! Dr. Hoy has excellent bedside manners and I feel really safe in his hands, he is a true healer. His medical assistant Gabriel is also very professional and has been a great support throughout this process. I am forever grateful that Dr. Hoy is my dentist, I just can't say enough great things about him. I 100% recommend him to everyone. read more

I was a regular going on nine years. I had the pleasure of being assisted by Dr Pinedo herself as well as Dr Mann. Both of them were always a pleasure, as were the hygienists who assisted me. My biggest issue was never with the work provided to me but the billing and the front office worker Sandra. In 2023 I decided to get Invisalign and was given a print out of the cost. A portion to be paid by me and the rest through my insurance. Sandra had me sign the paper and I paid my portion and under the assumption everything was taken care of. Over a year later and Sandra finally tells me that there's an issue with my insurance. Apparently my insurance pays out every 6 months and not all up front to the dental office. They apparently paid out the first half and the second half was to be sent in march or April of 2024. In November my job allows us to change plans for the upcoming year and since I was under the assumption that everything had been taken care of for my Invisalign, I switched to an alternative plan(same insurance) that was cheaper because the payout of ortho was less. I spoke to my insurance and they told me that Sandra had failed to communicate this information to me. That they told her about the spread out payment and she was to inform me to not change plans for the upcoming year. When I bring the issue to Sandra's attention, it's always the same "let me talk to Rosie. Let me talk to Dr. Mann. Let me talk to Dr. Pinedo. I will call you back tomorrow. " She never reached out like she said she would and it wasn't until I had my next scheduled visit for a cleaning (feb 7, 2025) that it was brought to my attention that it had still not been resolved. Sandra takes me into the office and spends minutes apologizing but never taking any accountability. She told me she understood it was not my fault but ultimately it was still up to me to pay what my insurance did not. I asked for my medical records, which she refused to give me even after I paid the balance, and was told to give her a call when I found a new dentist and she would send it to them but not give to me. I may not know her personally and I'm sure she's a pleasant person outside of work, but she's the reason I decided to go elsewhere. She did a terrible job of following up and her apologies are completely worthless since she takes no accountability on her end. Who knows if she even brought these issues up to Dr. Pinedo or Dr. Mann as her memory isn't the greatest and her follow ups are atrocious. Be wary if Sandra is the one assisting you. read more

I truly wanted to like her. I entered with a very positive attitude. The first thing I was hit with was a million forms to fill out and many were about money and payment. In fact the office staff seemed forced to talk about money more than anything else. It felt like a fire sale. And no matter what they said, money was definitely the final goal. Treatment was moderately ok but seemed very, very rushed. There did not seem to be a relaxed feeling between the staff anywhere in the office. There was nothing at all provided for relaxation. Zero. It is soooo worth it to now pay for a Delta Dental policy and be able to get dental services from people who are very professional, current with their practice, and trustworthy. First off, best dentist I've ever been to. I never thought that sentence would ever come into my mind! Their front staff is so helpful and patient since I ask a billion questions. Then they presented me with the cost BEFORE the procedure after the insurance - which is rare from all the other medical offices, let alone dentists. I love the transparency. Then the dental hygienists were very patient with me and explained what they were about to do and I felt so comfortable. Then Dr. Pinedo came in and checked out my X-rays and gave me an exam. Then explained what procedure I'd need to do and even referred an oral surgeon for me for a wisdom tooth extraction. I chipped my tooth and had to find a new dentist in the area quick. Seeing all the good reviews on yelp, I called to make an appointment, gave my insurance, and the lady said I'm covered. When I come in the next day, I discover they are out of network for my insurance, I am only scheduled to do a new patient exam, and much of my information was wrong in their computer (listed as female?). So, I just wasted the time I had to take off from work and now have to take another partial day to find another dentist. Terrible! read more

Unfortunately, I really really liked the Dr here. She helped fix a filling that was done from another dentist. I was also going to schedule my husbands appointment here and recommend this place to my coworkers down the street. I have to give the 1 star due to the office staff. Initially when I called, the receptionist told me, my delta dental ppo policy was in network with their office. I came for my first appointment and although the dr helped me, was very thorough and explained the issues with my filling, the front office either doesn't know things or they're shady. They tried to bill me for the X-ray and exam (my insurance covers 100% of that). I looked up the codes on my policy and looked up the ones they were trying to bill me for and told them my insurance covers this 100% and I've never paid for exams and X-rays because my insurance covers this. The receptionist said, well we like to bill the patients in advance because the insurance might not cover everything. I said no it covers 100%. She said okay she wasn't going to bill me and brushed me off. I came back the next week for my second appointment at 8:30a (I wouldn't normally pick that time just fyi, but I really liked the dentist and the office even though I didn't care for the front office at this point). I came back for my cleaning, and as soon as I walked in, I get another bill from the receptionist. Mind you I've never paid for X-rays, exams, and now on the bill im being charged for cleaning, X-rays (again), and the exam. I looked up the codes on my policy and they're all covered by my insurance. I asked why they're charging for a cleaning and the receptionist said because my insurance doesn't cover everything. I said yes it does especially as far as exams and cleanings they cover 100%. She started stumbling on her words and said that the office is NOT in network with my insurance. I said you're not in network with delta dental ppo? She said no. I said then cancel my appointment, I don't know why you guys wasted my time telling me you were in network. She stumbled again and says are you sure you don't want to do your cleaning today? I said I'm not doing the appointment, how and why would it make sense for me to be with a dentist that doesn't even take my insurance? And i walked out. Why would I pay out of pocket, when there's thousands of dentist that will do my cleaning and accept my insurance?! Delta dental ppo is one of, if not the most accepted dental insurance in the country... So far what I can tell, the dentist seems great and if they did accept my insurance I'd definitely give it another shot. I just don't appreciate that either the front office is being shady or they are not aware of what they're doing. DONT come here if you have delta dental ppo or you'll basically be paying out of your pocket. For people that are intimidated by what their insurance covers, always look up your policy online or call and ask what your coverage is. Dental offices use codes to bill you, so always ask for those codes and check with your insurance if those codes are covered. There's way too many dental offices out here over charging patients and people are so intimidated by insurance that they end up paying more than a person with no insurance. read more

My son had a toothache on a Saturday morning after calling everywhere I was referred to Dr Pinedo and was able to be seen same day. I cannot begin to describe the fear I had walking into the dentist office. I even had a friend come with me, yes I'm a 25 year old baby haha. The staff picked up on my panic mode easily and provided all the medicated options, seated me into a warm massager chair and cocooned me into a fluffy blanket. Carla did my cleaning so thoroughly while making sure I feel ZERO pain. I must say this again, ZERO pain. You feel slightest discomfort and they tackle it so you feel comfortable. Dr. Pinedo performed the most complicated root canal, which two previous doctors I saw refused to work on it because of level of difficulty. It took 4 hours to complete but it was so worth it. Again ZERO pain during procedure and mild discomfort from my jaw after. The actual tooth never hurt. They care about you here because they provide good patient teaching. This place definitely changed my view about getting dental work done. read more

I had to cancel an appointment last minute due to a personal emergency, and was immediately charged a $50 cancellation fee. This fee still stood, despite the fact that I had always showed up to my appointments prior, had always payed in full at the time of service, and promptly rescheduled the service that I had to cancel. A little understanding would have gone a long way in this situation. Unfortunately I won't be going back. A $50 fee for a first time cancellation is too much for me to accept. 2 stars because the hygienists were very kind and made me feel comfortable during my appointments. read more
