Although the healing of my teeth was what brought me to Dr. Rice, that has really been such a small part of what has been healed for me & it seems important to share this part with everyone At the end of my last session, I was telling Dr Rice that I have been reading poetry out loud to help me adjust to my new dentures. Then - he put a favorite poem of his up on the monitor. In the next moment, something very quietly but very deep healed in me & 65 years of fear released from my body. I 'consciously' realized it later when I was sharing the story with friends . . . there I was - sitting in a chair that terrified me, surrounded by equipment & machines that represented torturous experiences for me - but today here I sat looking at beautiful birds gathering around a feeder outside the window the dental chair was facing & reading a lovely poem. I felt only a little residue of anxiety . . . mostly I felt peaceful & tremendously grateful that I was lucky enough to find Dr. Rice & amazing team that helped to make this incredible healing possible. read more

Dr. Rice and his team are the best. I travel over 40 miles to go see him and his team. The drive is worth the perfection. I saw Melissa for my cleaning. She is a perfectionist. I highly recommend requesting her for your cleaning. As always Dr. Rice was very thorough with his exam and explanations of future work needed given my complex oral issues. He persistently checks some of my more complex issues and advises what will be needed next well in advance of needing to complete those procedures. He is great at explaining the option he recommends and takes the extra time to show you why he recommended the specific option he recommends. I won't go anywhere else. As always he and his team go above and beyond. If you're scared of the dentist like I was for years, he is excellent at understanding your fear and will do everything possible to help you overcome those fears. I no longer dread going to the dentist. They have made me totally fearless about dentistry. I cannot say enough positive things to truly explain how great the entire staff is. Truly phenomenal. I am very nervous about going to any dentist in general, just too many bad experiences in my past. But Dr Rice & his office are great at providing a relaxed, no stress environment. I have had 2 major surgeries (under sedation) at the office, but I don't remember them at all..... The work was great, but I just don't remember it. I have had fillings done by Dr Rice & the procedure could not have gone better. The dreaded shots of pain killer, I didn't hardly feel at all. Dr Rice is SO good at it! The drilling was short and the filling quick and I was out of there in maybe 20 minutes. Nothing to stress about! Call me a very happy client! read more

Absolutely HAD to praise Dr. Rice and his services. I woke up late last night and was in a ravenous mood, which is not out of the usual. I grabbed a couple cookies and a glass of milk, but upon biting into the first one, I noticed that my tongue was rubbing against something sharp. Long story short, the back part of my tooth had chipped off and was now poking the side of my tongue. Mega ouch. As soon as I woke up this morning, I called Dr. Rice on the recommendation of a friend who had a great experience with him. I explained the situation to his very courteous staff (which sometimes is an issue in medical settings) and they said the doctor was actually in the office unscheduled today, but would see me given the nature of the chip. I hurried right over. After the standard paperwork, I was brought into the back office where four suites were situated with very modern and up-to-date equipment. The doctor came in and gave me a brief examination before saying that his assistant would be taking some x-Rays and then we would get started. After he examined the x-rays, he told me how there was decay BELOW the surface of the tooth (due to my orthodontist hammering on my anchors for my braces YEARS ago) and that he would clean that up and craft a replacement/filler. Now, you know that point after you get numbed up and the dentist starts drilling and you can QUITE feel it but every now and then, they hit something and you kinda jump up in pain? There was ABSOLUTELY NONE OF THAT! I was literally lounging back in the chair while the doctor explained his choice for the treatment and how other doctors tended to treat similar issues with unnecessary (and costly) root canals! No thanks. Instead, I was without any pain as Dr. Rice took care to make sure the new filling was hardened and in place. All in all, I was only at the office for about 40 mins, from beginning to end, which is just mindblowing to me. I've had experiences where the time in the waiting room alone was that long. Considering how great of a job he did, how quick it was, and literally painless as well, I wish I could somehow give him 6 stars. He even was willing to take me on his day off! This is definitely my new dentist from here on out. If you are looking for a great, thorough experience in what is usually a not-so-fun time, I would recommend Dr. Rice. My mom just booked an appointment for her annual check up. Can't say enough, well done Dr. Rice!! read more

I have been terrified of the dentist for years. I found out that Dr Rice has sedation by researching online. I cannot tell you how I am so thrilled that I have found him!! Everyone in this office is amazing! They are so incredibly kind and understanding!! I've been going for cleanings for the last year and have never felt more relaxed! I just had the sedation with some work and it was the BEST experience of my life at a dentist!! I wish I would have found them a long time ago! Dr. Rice and his staff are the best. Everyone is super kind and professional. Dr. Rice makes you feel totally comfortable and never tries to strong arm you or make you feel guilty. He's a total perfectionist but NOT in a way that is anxious or overbearing. He really cares about your health and explains everything very clearly. Chandra holds down the front desk and always goes out of her way to take care of you. Shannon and Denise are incredibly kind and make you feel relaxed. Plus the office is super clean and each room has a window with a bird feeder hanging outside of it, so you don't have to stare at a blank wall while your doing your fluoride treatment. We were referred to Dr. Rice by a friend of ours after my daughter suffered from jaw pain for over a year. Other doctors brushed off her symptoms and said she would grow out of it. Dr. Rice has helped us get her back on the road to being pain free. He is extremely thorough, very patient and explains things in detail about her issues. He even pulled up a video to help explain what was going on. The staff is friendly and helpful. My daughter's favorite part is the bird feeders set up outside the window for her to watch while she is at her appointment. We are so glad our friend referred us! read more
