Very outdated office and dentist tends to rush between patient stacking not giving you the proper attention that the patient needs.

0 stars if I could:…read more I want to start by saying that I have had nothing but a horrendous experience with DentalWorks Elgin. I originally was scheduled for a New Patient appointment with Dr. Davis on April 28th, and was called by the front desk a week prior that my appointment was double booked and needed to be rescheduled. An inconvenience but it happens, fine. The appointment was rescheduled for May 12th. Today (May 5th) I received a call that my appointment would need to be rebooked again because the office needs more time for a New Patient appointment. Obviously, this should have been addressed with the first rescheduling phone call and is unacceptable. As ridiculous as this is, I rescheduled for the second time for May 15th. Shortly after, I received a confirmation email for the May 15th appointment, under a completely different name, "Thammalangsy Kosy". Obviously this was alarming to me as possible fraud, and I called the office to be notified by an automated message that they were closed and was transferred to a Customer Service line. Once I got a hold of someone, I was then told that my patient profile didn't exist and there was no one to escalate this to as the Elgin office was closed, but that I should "call my insurance because it sounds like fraud". I wholeheartedly agree, it does sound like fraud! When I attempted to log into my profile on the DentalWorks portal, this "Kosy" patient was matched under my birthday, and I couldn't see what else of mine was connected to the portal (things like medical history, medications, contact information, emergency contact, and insurance information). In fact, when I tried logging in with my name, there is no profile for me at all. I have never experienced such a ridiculous lack of patient record keeping in my life. Not only has this office committed what is clearly a HIPAA violation, but it is fraud. I have also contacted the Better Business Bureau as well as the DeltaDental insurance company. Do not come to this office. They are inept and will leak your personal information.

Absolutely the most attentive dentist I've met. The techs…read moreare all really friendly and professional, and Dr Bender took a lot of time to meet with me and go over options for care. I will absolutely refer family and friends here.

I used to like this place, but I am currently waiting to hear back about a refund. They have told…read moreme twice that they will call me back. They have not. I was told at the end of May that a refund check would be sent to me. I had a filling done back in May and I paid the amount they estimated I would owe. Got the bill from the insurance and I should have only paid half the amount that was estimated. No big deal. I called and was told my card would be refunded or a check would be sent. Two months later- Nothing! The sad part is this is not the first time this has happened. Back in 2016 I had to have a filling and the same thing happened. Same amount of money stolen from me because they claimed the insurance would not pay as much as they actually did. They even went after my dad for money for my account. I have dental insurance and my cleanings are fully covered. My dad was told I had an outstanding balance. First, I am a grown adult. They should not be telling my dad anything. Second, I never received a bill in the mail and they have never charged me for dental cleanings in the 5 years I have had my own insurance. I am going to call tomorrow and give them another chance to make this right. As of now they have overcharged me about $130 over the past 2 years and I am not happy about it.
