The pain was getting worse instead of better. Long and behold, my dentist found the problem. The surgeon left a massive piece of tooth behind and stitched right over it. That is important to me at least, because although I really like everyone who works there i just don't enjoy being in a dentist's chair. Jackie helps make it tolerable for me and I appreciate that. When you walk in for your appointment they greet you by name. There are usually two or three people busy at their computers. The office, led by Alana (office manager) runs smoothly. If you ever have a question about anything, everyone is more than willing to help you. It is not one of those doctors offices where you are made to feel like you are intruding as you tap on the glass to speak with the person sitting on the other side who is making believe they don't see you. It is quite the opposite at High Point Dentistry. I attribute this positive style of working with patients to Alana and any others serving in a managerial role. I think that all the staff that Alana manages has been chosen wisely. They are all attentive towards patients ad they each seem to be the type of person who is patient and gets along well with others. I used to like this place, but I am currently waiting to hear back about a refund. They have told…read moreme twice that they will call me back. They have not. I was told at the end of May that a refund check would be sent to me. I had a filling done back in May and I paid the amount they estimated I would owe. Got the bill from the insurance and I should have only paid half the amount that was estimated. No big deal. I called and was told my card would be refunded or a check would be sent. Two months later- Nothing! The sad part is this is not the first time this has happened. Back in 2016 I had to have a filling and the same thing happened. Same amount of money stolen from me because they claimed the insurance would not pay as much as they actually did. They even went after my dad for money for my account. I have dental insurance and my cleanings are fully covered. My dad was told I had an outstanding balance. First, I am a grown adult. They should not be telling my dad anything. Second, I never received a bill in the mail and they have never charged me for dental cleanings in the 5 years I have had my own insurance. I am going to call tomorrow and give them another chance to make this right. As of now they have overcharged me about $130 over the past 2 years and I am not happy about it.
