I brought my truck in to Dave's for a front end alignment based on a review and recommendation from a good friend of mine who has a lifted truck and a lowered truck...My truck being the same model as his I thought I would get the same price as him which was $60 but to my surprise it was $110....Apparently the price was soley based upon how much trouble the old man had adjusting my alignment... That's being said I want to head and had good faith and send a colleague over to get his lowered truck aligned....they quoted him $106 over the phone and when he went to pay attempted to collect $178...These people are obviously price gouging due to the lack of business through this COVID-19...My recommendation would be to stay away and find a legitimate honest business . read more

I just bought a 2019 Denali HD 2500. I noticed the truck would veer to the right a little when the steering wheel was straight. I called and they told me to come on down. They got me in right away. Very friendly and knowledgeable. They explained everything to me and got it all straightened out. I was so impressed w the service provided by Dave's Wheel Alignment that I have become a fan and repeat customer. It began as a father-son job lowering my son's Charger. I am teaching my 16 yr old son not to fear rolling up his sleeves and getting his hands dirty once in a while. Once we completed the job a rattling ensued. Great price! I got an alignment on my 01 Eclipse and it cost me $42.50. Everyone else is at least $20 more. Not only did it only take about 45 min, but they came back and told me that there were other issues with my car. He helped get my alignment as straight as possible but with other issues, I'd need another one. Don't be fooled by where it's at, you make a left into "Hamblins" and follow the Dave signs. Where do we start? Called for appointment - person answering phone said the hours required for the job would be checked and I would get a call back - never got a call back. Called back again 10 days later to find out about appointment - was told the temp covering dropped the ball. Person answering phone said I would get a call back after hours required for the job was checked, shop called back later that day and quoted $280 and $89 for the alignment. Dropped car off the evening before, asking if it could possibly be done around lunch time. Was told "certainly by end of day". Called shop at about 1pm next day, was told job had just been started. Shop complaining about the removal of the 4 bolts for the skid plate slowing down the job. Was informed late afternoon, that the job would not be completed by end of day, but that the alignment could be completed the next morning. Rearranged transportation for that evening and next day due to the change of the promised completion time. Next morning, received phone call that alignment had been completed. Picked up car. Odometer had been reset and was indicating 5.5 miles had been driven. Alignment printout indicated rear left toe was out of spec and that the car left the shop still out of alignment. Notation on receipt, "Front tires have even wear" (not that the rear tires were uneven...since the tires are near new). Why not charge me another $11 and align the rear also? Or call to inform of need...? Charged $30 extra for the 4 bolts on the skid plate Charged $15.98 for "product and service fee" To be fair, the prior 2 alignments on different vehicles were done right, and I was treated right. I'm not sure how to conclude about what is normal for this shop, whether it's usually good, usually bad or just inconsistent??? read more

Trucks these days are $60k so I took mine to this shop for a wheel alignment. I was happy with my appointment as they got right to work on it when I got there. They also did the job correctly and the steering wheel was perfectly straight again and my truck drives completely straight again also. I had an appointment at 3 for an alignment but i showed up at 2:45 to check in with the office and waited for a whole hour untill 3:45 when they got done with the person that was before me. Once they looked at my car at 3:50 an hour after i got there for my appointment at 3 they told me they didn't have time to get my car done so they pretty much wasted my time and gas and mileage on my car. I called yesterday during lunch, left a message. Got a call back from Barb while my hands were full, so one more call back adn YES! They can fit me in the next day (Thursday) at 1pm. I get there, and there's construction in the main yard, so I had to navigate around to the side entrance. Key here: go to the next left corner, and then go to the second driveway on the left. Dave's is a small focused business. I needed an alignment...and that's what they do, and the related repairs. When they put it on the rack, they found that I needed outer tierod ends and front camber bolts, then I would get my alignment. Took a while, but that was expected given the work. But they had the parts, so that wasn't an issue. I'm glad I brought my Driod and Kindle as I was quite bored in the waiting room. Could have turned the TV on, but I needed to catch up on some reading. I was offered a cold bottle of water while I waited, which I needed. They weren't done until almost closing (5pm), and payment was quick and easy (thanks, Dad). They have a 1000mile warranty on alignments, so they strongly suggest coming in before that to have the wheel wear checked. very down to earth, I'll be back. read more

Dave and his staff were great to work with! I went in for an alignment because my dealer said that my car needed one - I was quoted over $200 at Honda. I decided to give Dave's Wheel Alignment a call, I was quoted for about half the price! Dave inspected my car and advised that my car was well within the range and I did not need an alignment. Hello all, I bought a classic Olds 442 convertable from Wyoming, and had it shipped to So-Cal. Imagine my surprise when I took I into a hot rod shop and the technician told me "don't waste your time fixing this car, the frame is rusted & cracked". I had never heard of this before, so I took it to another shop, then a third. They all said I should try to get my money back, because no one would take the liability. I was shocked, as well as thinking I just blew $20K, when I called a friend in Riverside. Dave's was referred to me, and they were able to do the repairs, good as new. I brought my 2003 Camry in to have the front end checked out due to a "slight wobble". While the mechanic was checking out my car I kept the very friendly "resident French bulldog" company and had very pleasant conversation with Peggy who works the front desk. The mechanic advised me that there was a lot of wear to the front end due to the age of the vehicle. He even tightened the lower engine mount that was "hanging by a thread" at no charge! Took my vehicle to 3 different places to get aligned an they couldn't get it, took my truck to Dave's an one of the gentleman looked at my truck an said I had a bad ball joint (which I did) an said I needed a camber caster since my truck didn't come with one from factory. I have now posted two updates (edited original post), but neither one appeared. Maybe I need another cup of coffee... I cannot recommend this place since they moved from the alley behind Hamblins. Have been to their new place, got an estimate for work, and choked on it. Not sure if it was sold, new management, different shop foreman, whatever. All I know is it is not the place I used to love; and no longer has the prices I raved about. I suspect that the overhead on this new big shop with multiple bays and a lotta square footage and utilities, etc. has gone up dramatically from the little old single garage set up in an alley behind Hamlins. And, evidently, they left the old rate schedule there as well. Its a whole new ballgame now. And one that seems to be missing its referee... No longer a fan. read more

This review is long overdue. A couple years ago I bought a 1961 Chevy C10 on eBay. The price was unbelievably low and I later learned why. The truck was scary to drive. Wouldn't keep a straight line yet it didn't like to turn. A disaster waiting to happen. After getting some motor work done, the motor mechanic recommended I go to Dave's for a wheel alignment. Little did I know how bad the news would become. After putting the truck on the lift, Dave confirmed that the prior owner was a back yard mechanic who knew absolutely nothing about suspension geometry before cutting into the truck to lower. Dave took a few days to diagnose and invited me back to review his written proposal while I looked directly at the truck. What Dave recommend, to avoid almost certain death, was a complete reengineering of the entire front and rear suspension. I was in shock but realized I had little other choice short of the junk yard. A few weeks later, he invited me back again to test drive his crew's professional work. Upon my arrival, he presented me with a 15 page photo and caption summary of the master work they had performed. Replacing parts was the easiest part of the process. They drilled, fabricated and welded an entirely revamped suspension with new mounting points. Fabricated a new steering gear and steering shaft approach angle. Welded stops on the control arms to prevent the truck from turning too radically. Fabricated new brake line brackets to prevent the break lines from cutting into the tires. Etc., Etc., Etc.... Bottom Line - the truck now tracks straight - stops straight - turns with percision. For all the work they performed, the final bill was less than I was expecting and very reasonable. I was in Riverside for a weekend and on my way back home to Central California, as I was driving down Van Buren blvd., my car felt like the front end was completely out of alignment.....so I pulled into Stater Brothers parking lot and called my friend from Riverside and basically was in panic mode....he drove over where I was and took me to DAVE'S WHEEL ALIGNMENT....when we got there everyone was at lunch and they said they would check it out when they were finished.....well.....they didn't finish, they stopped in the middle of their lunch and put my car up on the lift and fixed it and checked my car out.....they went ABOVE AND BEYOND what anyone else would do....It was my daughter and I, so we had no men with us and we all know what shops do to women. Well, they are great people there.....the lady at the front desk was AWESOME, and the guys who worked there were GREAT. All have GREAT personalities and MADE SURE I was going to be okay on my 5 hour drive back home. So.........Thank You DAVE'S WHEEL ALIGNMENT so so much. My wife took her BMW here while I was at work for an alignment and the owner tryed turning it into a $1,500 job saying she needed a bunch of suspension parts replaced when the car was less than 2 years old. She later took it to the firestone over on market and they did the job for $75. read more

I Agree With NB..Front office Women Barbara, Can Be More than Gruff, LOUD & VERY RUDE.. .Unfortunately, I had to come back many times. I should have taken my business elsewhere. Its not like the service was free, I paid $300.00... So, the Last Time I brought in my vehicle, When I was leaving, I mentioned "if the traction light comes on (Again ) & I have to come back." WOW !!!!!!!! And She Started In On Me, Totally Cut Me Off, Kept Yelling at Me, Telling me to take it to the dealer and especially, when I politely asked for paperwork showing that I had been back, to have them fix the problem, but Even As I was quietly walking out to my car, she was still going Off in her office. Saying have a nice day, and that I had an attitude, Since Day One. ?? There was no reason for her to be harsh to me. She did this in front of 3 other Customers in the Waiting Room!!! I Run a business in Riverside, I never go off on my customers, its word of mouth that Alot of my customers bring me More Business and build up my business for what it is today.
