Started off with a great tech honest, well priced. You could tell you been working there a long time. Then started switching techs some of who were down right very condescending. Started getting the same tech explain some problem issues which was blamed from everything on bad paint to I don't know. Again your time maintenance plan. They missed a lot of stuff such as the whole leading directly to my cellar. An area where paint was peeling I took off the electric plug cover. Was filled with old nesting material. I really should be demanding a refund. I paid before they got down the street. All I ever got was a piece of copper mesh I asked for a couple traps was never given anything. No exclusion. Last tech was very nice but at that point the bait boxes were never changed. Finally found another . No visible droppings in my home. Due to neighbors with animals I have to hire a full-time exterminator. On interviewing new ones the exterminator found the droppings in the bait boxes which I've moved away from my home. That is a lot of money spent for nothing? I did get a deodorizer bag for any type of smell for a closet and a piece of copper mesh and that's it. It was pretty pitiful. Total waste of time money Woman in office very nice that answers the phone all the time the other one as I explained to her what was going on in my house she says that sounds nothing like any type of rat it was everything about any type of rat! Jim from Dave's Pest Control arrived early today and did a very thorough job, both inside and outside! My probIem is not with the work, but with office issues and scheduling. I have been using Dave's for many years and, until now, I have never had this issue. I, too, had the same problem with the phone scheduling, after they canceled due to rain. We went back & forth with at least 5-6 calls before I finally got confirmation of another date about two-three weeks later. We had really high hopes which is why this is so disappointing. The technicians made us all sorts of promised about how they would completely eradicate our house problem and that whenever we saw a mouse we should call and they'd come take care of it. They said we had an 'unlimited' type package. Well fast forward a few months and we've had to call several times about the nice, the person on the phone told us we were calling too much......on this alleged unlimited plan....when we point this out to the person we get yelled at, and told that we can't expect them to completely eradicate the mouse problem because that's unreasonable. Apparently it's unreasonable to assume an EXTERMINATOR can eradicate pests. This is news to me. Several months later we have problems with technicians showing up, claiming we were informed of an appointment when we weren't. And technicians were missing appointments when we were supposed to have then. Of course when we call the front office to figure out what's going on and again voice our concerns that the mouse problem has gotten worse, the woman actually begins SCREAMING at us. My husband was on the phone with her and I was several feet away and I could hear her screaming at him and calling him a liar. I'm baffled how any company can conduct itself this way. At this point this is the second or third time we've been yelled at by their "customer service" reps. When we tried to talk to a supervisor we had a similar scenario and didn't even get an apology for how we were treated. Fired the company and went with another company. We haven't had a single mouse with the new company and we don't get screamed at and called liars, win win ! read more

So last year I contracted with Dave's pest-control and the guy who came to my house was very nice and very professional and I wrote a glowing review on yelp. Since then and since paying them all my money I have had bug problems consistently. The following is exactly verbatim what transpired when I called him left him a voicemail on Saturday telling them that I still have fly problems and that I'd like them to call me on Monday when I get back into the office. I was riding my motorcycle on Monday and one on my motorcycle they had called me and left me a voicemail saying this is Dave's pest-control we'd like to come by and take care of the problem please give us a call back at your earliest convenience. I half an hour later when I got off my motorcycle and finished my meal at a restaurant, I called them back and when the woman answered the phone I said hello this is Scott returning your call. She then proceeded to participate in the most bizarre, unprofessional manner that you could possibly imagine. She said to me "yes I just spoke with you". I said no you didn't just speak with me I just left the restaurant and returned your voicemail call. She responded by saying to me and I quote, "no we just spoke". I again reiterated no we didn't just speak this is the first time I'm calling you back. She, for the third time told me I just got off the phone with you 15 minutes ago and you told me that if we couldn't come there today then to forget it because you found someone else to take care of the problem. I told her she's mistaken because she did not speak with me and I was on my motorcycle and in a restaurant and this was my first call. She proceeded to then, once again tell me know we just spoke. I went bat shit crazy on the phone saying are you fucking kidding me? You're telling me that you had a conversation with me when I was driving a motorcycle on the highway. And her response was "yes". I then proceeded to say to her "why on earth would I hire someone else to take care of a problem that I've already paid you $550 to take care of under a contract? That doesn't even make any sense. ". I then said to her are you telling me that I'm bipolar and I'm having conversations with people and making phone calls while I'm riding a motorcycle on the highway? Her response was I've dealt with bipolar people in the past. I went out of my mind and asked her to have the owner call me. I've left three voicemails for them since then asking for the owner to return my call which he refuses to do probably because he never even got a message stating that his employee insulted a customer who not only paid the money and was content to deal with whatever issues I had but also recommended them to someone else and she is under contract with them based on my recommendation. But this douche bag decided to insist that she was correct in telling me that I had a conversation with her when I never spoke with her ever. So I still have flies in my house, the owner of the company Dave, probably never got a message that I wanted to return call and now I have to take them to court for failure to take care of the bug problem but I pay them to take care of. I would highly recommend not doing business with this company as long as the women running the office continues to be employed there. Since this occurred, The owner of the company, Dave sent me a letter telling me that he terminated our contract as of today and that I have had emotional outbursts that have been unjustified. I will be suing this company and doing everything in my power to let as many people know exactly what went on here. read more

After getting an estimate from this company and waiting weeks for them to come to my house the guy who showed up stated they never do properties of my size mind you we have 1 acer and they knew that for months. I called them to come treat for ants. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. read more

i have been a customer for decades, beginning when Dave Pentilla's father Dave was the business. Now i pay $ 244.50 to renew the contract - and there is nothing, no service and no response to many phone calls. Finally, i phone to fire them and demand a refund. Then they call but only to do name calling, abusive. i write to them and still they stonewall. This exterminator will exterminate your bank account and peace of mind. Beware!! read more

I used them last year when we bought the house and did not do much research before hiring them - and I feel sorry for it now ! The guy who came for the pest control is awesome, no complaints there. If I could hire him directly, I would ! I am very upset with the staff who answers the phone and schedules. I have been calling them for last month or so trying to see when is my next scheduled pest control for the season. I was told a month ago it was 2nd week of May and 3 weeks forward I call them again and all of a sudden it has been moved to June ! I told them I have mosquito problem and what they say is I need to pay extra if I want them to come sooner than June.... This shows MONEY is the priority for them and not customer experience. I have already paid close to 1000 dollars for the year and all they do is come approx 3 times during the entire year. When they want to get you enrolled into their 'silver' and golden' and what not plan they promise you they will come whenever you need them and multiple times if there is pest and bug trouble... but guess what ----- it is false promise ! Is it my mistake the mosquitos decided to show up in early May this year and not June ! Like it does not make sense, if they are understaffed they should stop their service to new clients and hire new, trained people in customer service to take their phone calls. It's now the second season with Dave's Pest Control and we are still very pleased with their service. This year Mosquitos are particularly bad and they've come out several times to do additional treatments at no charge. When they say satisfaction guaranteed, they mean it. I've been with Dave's for 3 years. My last contract and I do mean my last started in April 2017. I got one service in 8 months. Tried to speak with the girls in the office and they were not customer service oriented at all. Nothing was resolved for they just kept saying I would get another treatment in April 2018. Well that is not what I signed up for. I tried to explain they broke the contract only coming once. But all I kept getting for an answer was their automated system spoke to a human being and it was my fault I didnt have more than one application (my dogs were in the yard when they showed up for a treatment unannounced). I will pay my bill under protest. However, I will never go with this company again! Beware for customer service is dead in this company! Plenty of other pest control companies out there that will listen to the customer and give them the service they need! read more
