I read online the combo gets you a little bit of everything so the slider with the slaw and the tender and fries. The spices were great, the slaw was nice and refreshing, much better than a KFC slaw. The tenders are very big, not skinny, the meat was all juicy. I like they have lots of sauce options, and it's pretty kid friendly. I got the fruity pebbles topped milkshake which was a great pairing to cool off my mouth, and we also got the Pop rocks slushie. Ok folks I did it. I've seen so many things about the Dave's Hot Chicken reaper being insanely spicy. This location probably amped it up a bit especially for me. 2M Scoville units plus for sure. I have always been limiting myself to Hot sliders but thought to myself seriously how bad could it be and my wife is surely wrong. So I gave the reaper slider a shot fully armed with a tall strawberry milkshake. I'd say it was probably a ****/10 on heat. My wife said my face turned bright red after the first bite. I ran to the loo to wash down everything that came in contact with the reaper.. Over the next half hour I tried all of their slushies but nothing worked. Packed the rest and once I got home washed away the spice before throwing the chicken slider into the air fryer. Boy was that good or what. Much more easy to enjoy the juiciness of the slider. Have been hooked, sometimes it can take a little bit to get your food, especially when it's swamped, but they try their best to get it out. And when you get it, the chicken is so tender. I love the sauce too. Great fries! I saw a manager handling an upset customer, and I thought he was very professional tonight 4/6 around 7 PM. He looked like a taller Asian gentleman. Some guys seemed upset and seemed like they wanted a refund or a free meal, but I just like how the manager handled them even though it looked like they were just trying to get a free meal. Came with a lady friend today after Penny's shopping. Today was the soft opening and the app didn't work yet. Boy we got here right when the kids got outta school or something... packed. Prices are not bad! I had a #3 (14.99 I think) which is a slider and a tender with fries. She had the #4 (9.99). just slider and fries. I have to say they were fast and it was fantastic!! The meat was huge portions on the bun too. Several different heat flavors to choose from too. I didn't care for the Dave sauce but ranch was really good! I chose medium and it was perfect. We sat in the outdoor seating area with the plastic like walls. It was very warm. I saw the manager come in to Ck the heat factor out there too. So that was nice!! Will go back fur sur! The line at Dave's Hot Chicken was finally not out the door when I stopped by the mall to have the battery in my phone replaced. I walked in and there was actually no one at the counter so I just waited for the nice young lady packing up orders to take my order. They have an ordering kiosk as you walk in but I'm not a fan of them and prefer speaking with a human. I'm happy I did since it was my first visit and knew nothing about this place. The nice young lady taking my order answered all my questions about the sliders, heat levels, and sides which was very nice. I had to wait a while for my food but it was worth the wait. The sliders had nice crispy chicken breast strips on them and the medium heat was just the right selection for my taste since. I appreciated speaking with a human for advice before ordering and she gave me great advice. The sliders with the slaw and pickles are excellent and the fries with their fry sauce were excellent, too. The seating was pretty basic in a room enclosed by what looked like plastic walls with seating that worked well on a nice spring day with my wheelchair. I'm going to return to try other menu items soon but will most likely order the slider again since it was so great. I look forward to my next visit. read more

Love that Dave's Hot Chicken has made its way to the South Puget Sound. I went during their Grand Opening weekend for dinner and the line wasn't bad at around 5:45pm. We waited 20 minutes to order and the food arrived shortly after that. I like that this location has kiosks to place your order in addition to taking orders at the counter. It makes the line run much faster! The food was excellent and on par with the other locations I've visited in California. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and piping hot. The music was really loud the day we went, so it was difficult to carry a conversation or hear your order number get called out. We visited Daves Hot Chicken today. It was clean but they provide no wait staff. You bus your own table. You just get in line and order from a menu on the wall, We each ordered a chicken slider. The chicken was very dry and thin. The fries were good but the slaw on the bun was almost non existent. You have to ask for utensils and napkins. There was no sweetener for the ice tea and when brought to the attention of the manager he just shrugged his shoulders. However I learned my lesson and decided to order 40 minutes ahead before I went shopping in the mall. They finally decided to help me and I still ended up waiting a little bit longer for my order. We placed an online order through the app so the food would be ready upon arrival since we have a 14m old with a short span to be content. In app, we purchased additional ranch and Dave's Sauce. In app it also asked if we needed ketchup, cutlery/napkins etc. which we did so we asked for all of that. When we opened our order there wasn't any ranch or sauce in the bag, so nothing to dip our nuggets in. No napkins. No cutlery NOTHING. So how are we supposed to eat this food on the go? We got there 10ish minutes prior to when the food was estimated to be ready. When we got the order it was cold. It was just a super disappointing experience. read more

I know there are kinks to work out. But they've been open a month now with the same issues. Both visits, I have waited 45 plus minutes. Both visits I had to ask for my drink cup when I picked up my food. And both visits I asked to sub for fries, and didn't get it either time. Those are things I expect from a new establishment Both visits were between 3:30 and 4:00 on a Saturday Here's where I see major issues. Given the crowds and immense volume they are obviously doing - there should be adequate staff. There is NOT. I see management or an owner too busy concentrating on running great labor numbers when they should be concentrating on providing good service to the thousands of new potential loyal customers. Trash cans are always overflowing, napkin dispensers were empty, and I am not exaggerating - EVERY SINGLE TABLE needed to be wiped off. I was there for over an hour each visit, and have never seen an employee tending to lobby issues. I did see a manager or possibly a franchisee come out to refill his drink - but he ignored the issues - even the overflowing trash he had to reach over for a refill. Also, they have a really nice covered patio, but the roof needs some work. Every table was soaking wet. I hope it improves - because it really is great food.
