I think Dave's Hot Chicken sandwich is pretty good. The service was adequate and I was impressed with the simplicity of the interior design. I like the various choices of sauces available. I think the prices are a bit high but they do make a better chicken sandwich then Popeyes. I think the only problem they may encounter is the building appears to be too large and they may have to pass the expense onto the customer. Dave's #3 1 Tender & 1 Slider w/ Fries

I had never eaten Dave's Hot Chicken before but had only heard great things. The restaurant itself is visually appealing and has the space one desires for an eat in chain restaurant. The system for ordering and pick up of online orders needs significant help. I ordered online and when you arrive you need to push past people to let them know you are here. I'm hoping they clean things up with that organization because we all want some hot chicken. I ate a slider and a tender. Both "hot" level. I loved it! The hot is not too hot but I will need to move up to the next level in the future. Outside of my favorite place Fry the Coop (https://www.frythecoop.com" this is really good food! It is not cheap but perhaps some different combination options will change the pricing value.

Finally tried this place out after passing through town. We were very happy with the fresh fast service! Ordered the slider (mild) and fries with cheese. The level of spicy with the mild was just that, mild. Would try the next heat up. Definitely coming back the fries were seasoned perfectly! A+!

Service was great, the restaurant was clean and the food was decent. It's good for the area but the chicken sandwich just felt bla, and there was a ton of breading... The buns were not great. The fries were good. I ordered a hot single slider, overall, it was just OK.

Chicken slider, medium

This chicken is so good! It's one of my new favorite places. Service is good, food comes out fast even for online pickup. I love that they put a lot of pickles on the sandwich because you cant ask for extra pickle when you order online. And there's some on the side. The sauce is good too and the fries are crispy. We keep coming back for more! Highly recommend.

Service: not so good. 3 men were tending the bar, tables and it was not busy. Each of them walked past our table at separate times. 1 asked if "everything was OK" but didn't slow down enough to hear our answer. While 2 of the 3 were standing behind the bar talking, I got up and brought them my empty soda glass so they could refill it. I didn't wait for them to fill it on purpose just so they would have to walk to our table. Might give them another shot .... or might not!! They have a HUGE investment in that building and they better teach their staff to cater to the customer, or it will be empty shortly!!!

Cowboy Max absolutely nailed the atmosphere. The building looks great, the décor fits the theme,…read moreand the location across from Lambeau Field couldn't be much better. If you're in town for a Packers game and want a place to have a drink with a good view, they've got that part figured out. Unfortunately, the food is a completely different story. I live in Arizona, where great Mexican food is everywhere. I've eaten everything from Baja and Sonoran to Tex-Mex, Guadalajara, and Mexico City styles. I've also been around enough competition barbecue teams to know what good barbecue should taste like. This wasn't Tex-Mex, and it wasn't barbecue. It was just disappointing. I ordered the Cadillac Burrito. In my opinion, it tasted like a gas station enchilada-style burrito drowned in canned queso and canned salsa. It was heavy, sloppy, and lacked any fresh flavor. Calling it Tex-Mex does a disservice to good Tex-Mex. As someone in the decorative concrete industry, I couldn't help but notice the polished concrete floors. They still have swirl marks, scratches that weren't fully removed, and unfinished edges. Most people won't notice, but I did. If that level of workmanship was acceptable on opening day, it made me wonder how much attention was given to the food. The sad part is that this place has every advantage. Great building. Great location. Great atmosphere. Right across from Lambeau Field. If Cowboy Max survives, I think it'll be because of where it is not because of what's coming out of the kitchen. Packers fans and tourists will stop in because it's convenient. Based on my experience, I can't imagine the food creating many repeat customers. I wanted this place to be good. Instead, I left thinking they built a beautiful restaurant and forgot the most important part food worth eating!!!!

We chose the patio, which ended up being one of the highlights of the visit. It was clean, comfortable, and well shaded, with a few yard games available that gave the space a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Service started off decent but unfortunately declined as the evening went on. Food took an unusually long time to come out, and to the server's credit, she recognized the delay before we even brought it up. She apologized and mentioned that a manager would be stopping by to speak with us. Unfortunately, that never happened, and service continued to deteriorate from there. We started with the nachos and cheese curds. The cheese curds were actually quite good. Crispy, flavorful, and probably one of the stronger items we had. The nachos were decent, though nothing particularly memorable. As for the BBQ, it was unfortunately pretty underwhelming. Especially considering BBQ pricing tends to come with expectations around quality and portion value. The ribs were the biggest disappointment. They were so dry they were nearly inedible, with meat crumbling apart from being overcooked. No amount of sauce could bring them back. The jalapeño cheddar sausage had a good texture, but flavor wise it was just okay and leaned overly salty without much depth. My side salad was forgotten entirely, and the cornbread, while having decent flavor, was very dry. The burnt ends also missed the mark. Rather than having the bark and caramelized texture you typically expect, they appeared to be stewed in BBQ sauce, leaving them mushy and overly sauced instead of smoky and textured. One bright spot was the BBQ sauce selection. There were several options, and they were tasty with enough variety to complement different meats. Overall, this feels like a place with good potential and a really pleasant setup, particularly the patio. I'm not sure if we caught them on an off night, but between the slow service and inconsistent food execution, the experience didn't live up to expectations. That said, I'd consider giving it another try in the future because the foundation is there.

We do our best to find a non chain spot which difficult sometimes. Most of these places are standard and just OK. The same type of foods and always subpar as of later when it comes to service. Recently we discovered Nana's. On the outside is a sign that says eggrolls but inside is much more. As soon as you enter you feel at easy. With the calming chime of the door to the words of praise and encouragement on the walls. You start off ordering your food. When the sign says eggrolls I expect the best. I was beyond impressed. Crunchy , meaty and delicious. Those were my kids words. In fact they have a multitude of different eggrolls and many Egg roll like dishes. From cabbages stuffed egg roll's to my favorite, stuffed chicken wings and the fresh spring rolls. This place has you covered. That is not it as they also have another favorite of mine pho. The mouthwatering beef/chicken and noodle soup from Vietnam. It was dynamite. The only short fall I can see for the menu is it could use a few more items to round out the already flavorful bunch of dishes it carries now. Like a vermicelli bowl or some banh mi sandwiches. This place is pretty great as is but the last and most important reason to visit and become a frequent visitor is Nana herself. Every time I have been here. I have seen Nana not only cooks the food but interact with people. She is a breath of fresh air. With most business these days often forgetting the foundation of their business is the people. She brought a warm feeling to me. That felt like stopping by to visit a friend. Her interactions with the people around and even the children in the place was in my opinion one of the biggest highlights of the whole experience. Nana's is not fancy but when you are here you feel like you're being treated by the best. This is why Nana's will be one of my go to spots me and my family for as long as she is around.

About 7 minutes later, had my eggrolls, wing, and the side of soy sauce (that my wife wanted but was shy to ask for.). It was funny because one of the ladies said, "If you don't ask, you don't get!", and we laughed about it. The eggrolls? Thinner and much less bubbly than the normal rolls you get from a Chinese restaurant. Just crispy enough and FULL of meat and fillings. Delicious with the sweet and sour sauce (I believe tastes homemade.) The stuffed wing? Now I've had stuffed wings at Mei's kitchen in GB, the Asian supermarket in GB, but THIS one was stuffed to the gills with meat and noodles. DELICIOUS! I recommend this place over all other places that have stuffed wings. Will definitely be back for more. Keep doing what you're doing!
