I was NOT aware that this place has become a do-it-yourself place. I have been here many times, and they have always been great but why would I pay $24 bucks to run it thru the wash and then vac and detail it myself? I can go right around the block and pay 12 to run it thru and then detail it myself. I asked for a refund bc when I got there I was not aware of the change until I had provided payment. So far no one has called me about a refund, so I guess I will have to take more time out of my work day next week to call and GET the refund since I did not even get to run it thru the wash. If you want to pay to do it yourself there are nicer and cheaper spots just around the corner near costco. read more

Well first let me say I had my car detailed. It looks great ! BUT !!!!!! two day later I opened the back of my SUV to fine that my bed liner was missing. (GONE !!!) So I stopped by that car wash location to see if they had it. NO !!! Well they took my phone number, so now I`m waiting to see what`s next. PS It will cost me $137.00 to replace my WT liner. read more

This place is fantastic! Pretty much a detail without paying for a detail. I've always loved it, but in the past 3-4 months they have exceeded all expectations. read more

I've gone to their other location and had great service so I decided to try this one out because it's a little closer to where I live. I've got to say the service was a lot worse here. First when I pulled up my car because it was "done" I saw they had not wiped the inside of my car like I paid. They went back in wiped it down again, and I decided to just go with it because I was tired of waiting around, but there are still a lot of dirty parts of my car. Like the in between of my seats is still crusted with stuff & the sides they "wiped" still have a lot of dirt. I called the place & the manager said they would clean it up. I went back & then they were done it was still dirty did not clean my cupholder. I went to look for the guy who said he would ask if it was good and he walked off and I could not find him. Could not recommend this place less read more

Honestly brought my wife's car in, We have two large dogs and her car had more dog hair than you could ever imagine. Her car was showered in dog hair, nasty. These guys cleaned her car so well that you would think we had any. It was show room clean. Awesome job. read more

They made no attempt to clean the roof of the car. They did not even wipe down the dash board.

I paid for the most expensive wash. They did not clean the roof, sand left in seats, dirty cup holders...completely underwhelming.

Took my car to Dave's Auto Spa today. Because of the pollen drop I wanted to have the inside cleaned. Paid for Ultimate Wash. They vacuumed the inside and wiped the seats. But they did not wipe down anything else. I still have pollen on the dash, steering column, doors, center console. In fact, the front cup holders are still unclean. This is ridiculous. Never again! Beware! read more

Dave's Auto Spa - Cup holder - Car Wash Near Me - Richmond, Virginia

I came here to get my car washed 3 times, but every time I come to wait in the waiting room it is EXTREMELY HOT! Waiting outside is also hot! It's like if im sitting outside waiting as well. They should put some AC or something that can keep place cool while I wait for my car to be cleaned. Otherwise everything else if fine! Just really needs some AC inside! read more

I stopped by an hour and a half before closing time and there was only one car in the lot. I was told was told it would be an hour before they could get to my car. I came back the next day and was told I couldn't get anything below the $70 service because I had dog hair in my car. I won't be coming back. It's a shame it has gone so far downhill because I used to come here once a month. I will drive further for something more reliable. read more

Similar experience to other reviewers. Interior still had crumbs, exterior had dirty areas. Paid for trim treatment and the trim was still dirty. Pointed all these things out and they said that the services had been provided, could not provide a refund. read more

They worked on my car for a long time, and did a great job. I had dog hair and it wasn't easy to get my car clean. I really appreciate their hard work! read more

I am giving them a 1 only because I have to give them a rating. Took my daughters vehicle to get a car wash, we were the only customers at the time, instead of cleaning the car they were playing around then the gentleman called us to over for pick up. However the car was only have cleaned. Had to asked him to clean the top of the tires, the doors, the front of the vehicle and the windows which were spotty. He got a whole attitude. We had to be somewhere so I immediately got on the phone to call them which took over an hour to get someone to pick up. Glad we pulled up at the gas station near by to take photos. The young lady who answered stated she was the manager on duty, as soon as I stated had a issue with the service and vehicle wash she immediately knew who I was, though she was nice enough she said I would need to speak with the regional manager to get a refund, took my information and told me to come see him at 1130am. Arrived exactly at 1130am today who regional manager, the associate called him and he wasn't willing to assist or allow anyone there to help. I am going to hope the young lady was sincere when she told me to come today. It is unacceptable NOT to take accountability or make it right for the customer. I have the video of the employees play around instead cleaning the vehicle (their actual jobs), both conversations. Every customer should be treated with respect, the service they pay for should be received , and employers should make it right when they miss the mark. Run don't Walk from this business. Took the vehicle to have it actually washed by actual car wash - clearly this is NOT one. Will also be placing a BB complaint, no one should ever review a lack of service like this, go where service exist. I will be posting the videos and full pictures on social media. read more

Mario! What a worker, he he attends, sprays cars, drys them, helps on the lot, then he come back. He does it all the only employee to seem professional. I had. A real dirty car that I left sitting for 2 years and that las made it look like new! Thanks you Mario! And thanks You daves. read more

Took car to get it washed on Christmas Eve. After the $22 wash, the car was still dirty in places and clearly not clean. When I discussed this with the the manager, I was told that the car was properly cleaned and that the dirt (clear as day in the pictures) was not actually dirt and there was nothing that could be done. Simply wiping your hand across the dirt, made my hand get dirty, and when I returned home, I completely cleaned the "not dirt" with a rag, soap and water. Not sure why the people I paid $22 couldn't do this. And I'm even more confused as to why I was treated so poorly when I asked for the service I paid for to be completed properly. Do not take your car here. There are many other options in the area worthy of your hard earned cash who will actually clean your car. read more

Have always visited this site and have always had to have the person working on my truck so their job. Today ordered the Ultimate wash. When done I spent 15 minutes removing bug residue off the front of the truck. Then got in the truck and the windows were still dirty. The tires were not properly done. They didn't vacuum out the rear. For $32.00 they did a poor job. You know what they say... "If you want anything done right do it yourself". Looks like I'm gonna have to come out of retirement with a bad shoulder to wash, wipe down and vacuum my truck the RIGHT WAY!!! read more

Hours posted said opens at 8. They didn't open until 8:30. The only thing that was said was that they "were running a little late". I responded that a 1/2 isn't a little late. No apologies. After asking them to redo the top of my dashboard I thought that they had done an okay job until I saw the inside of my windshield this morning & it is totally smeared. I will not be going back & I will not be recommending them to anyone ever again. read more

I was turned away for dog hair in the carpet. This was after waiting in line for 30 minutes completely lost my 3 car wash business.

Wow. I sadly had neglected washing my car with the move, holidays and vacation, but decided today, it needed a wash! T told me about this place and said they always did a great job for him. I was basically left speechless. Never have I ever had a car wash that thorough both inside and out. I literally had no words when they pulled it around -- in Greenville, I thought those car washes were good, but i was clearly settling! I hope that Dave's becomes my "go to" to wash my car here in Richmond. You pay when you pull up. The cashier was extremely friendly. You can walk into the building and watch your car go through the automatic car wash machine. The seating area had a good number of seats, and they even had outdoor seating (though it was too cold to sit out there today - but I'm sure they are great in the summer months!) They vacuum and detail the car after it is washed. I got the Ultimate Car Wash because I knew while the outside really needed a clean, so did the inside and it looked great. They offer a variety of fragrances, but I opted to not use one (I use doterra products and have my own citrus spray for my car!). The guys were extremely friendly, thorough and didn't rush which was really noticeable when they pulled the car around and when I got in! They also offer an unlimited car wash package that is $24.95 a month. Having such a great experience today, i am considering it -- I like to get my car washed 2x a month, so it would definitely be cheaper (basic car wash was $17.95 I think), so $24.95 for 2 or more washes is definitely seems worth it. read more

Life lesson #1 : you want something done right, DO IT YOURSELF kudos to the people that cleaned my car though... they spent more time changing the radio from xm to their choice station than they did on cleaning my car. Also kudos to management for not giving 2 shits. I wish I could give 0 stars! read more

Dave's Auto Spa offers three Express car washes (exterior only) that all include "Hand Finished" service. The new Express prices are $25, $24 and $12. Dave's price NO LONGER INCLUDES DOOR FRAME WIPE DOWNS. So you open car your door and find the road dirt. Looks like a car wash that has been half done. Talked to the manager and he said door frames are considered interior. Seems like door frames should be included for $25........ read more

Took my car to Dave's Carwash, on Robious and Midlothian today for premium wash. When I left, I went to Lowe's to pick up some top soil. When I reached for my phone on the passenger seat, it was not there. I got out and looked through all my boxes in the back, and my cycling bag. Not there. I drove back to Dave's and told the manager that I thought my phone had been stolen. I described the two men who dried my car. He called them over and ask them about my phone. One of the guys said that he found a phone in one of the cloth rags used to dry a car. My phone was in his car that he had to walk to that was in another parking lot. Fact is he stole my phone. read more

I would actually only give this a "0" star rating. Worst service ever worst car wash ever. Windows not addressed, streaks on car windows, rude staff. When I went outside to get car the technician asked for a tip, then became angry when I told him he had not cleaned the floorboards. There is an extra charge also for cleaning floor mats. Long story short. I won't return. I asked for the owners contact info, I was told they didn't know Update I have reached out to management to complain about the tip request. I have called 3 times and have left messages, no return call back read more

Had car washed with $25 classic! Got home front wheels and rims still dirty so went back and complained about it and was told I didn't get the rims cleaned because it didn't come with the classic car wash! Was asked " didn't you read what you get" by a very rude employee who wanted to just get in my face with a grin on his face. No respect or any form of customer service! I will never use this car wash ever again! read more

I kept my daughter's dog for a week and after he returned to his mom, I had my car "de-dog'ed" at Dave's. I went with the Ultimate because I particularly wanted the interior cleaned thoroughly. When I got in my truck, the first thing I noticed was the dog-snot on the passenger window, meaning that it had not been touched at all. I called the manager over and he had someone take care of it, but seriously, when your job is to clean the interior windows, how do you miss an entire window? When I got home, I noticed that there was a big stain on the lower right side of the driver's seat. Apparently, some type of liquid was spilled, and at least they tried to clean it up because I could see the wipe marks where they spread out whatever it was trying to soak it up. A few days later, I looked in the space behind the front seats, where the dog mostly stayed, and saw numerous dog hairs; not as many as when I brought my truck in, but numerous enough that they were easily visible. And for all of this, I gave the guy who did the inside a generous tip. I would love to have that money back. I give Dave's 2-stars because at least they got the outside clean. read more

I've had only bad experiences here. Gave them another shot after 2 years and still horrible. Got home and noticed a big stain on my back seat. Not amused. Wow. After the THIRD time going here, I'm still dumbfounded. I go to retrieve my car (after a half an hour simple wash) and my battery was completely dead. Is it just me or is this place HORRIBLE!? First time they locked my keys in my car and took it upon themselves to BREAK into my car. Leaving $600 worth of damage. Which after a couple months of arguing, they did pay for. read more

I thought I would try Dave's after not being impressed by Carpool however I'm no more impressed by Dave's. There were smears over several windows that I pointed out and were wiped again but still not clean. The inside of my vehicle looked as if the only vacuuming done was the front driver and passenger seats and was told the rest wasn't done because they didn't know how to find down the seats, but even the rear hatch area wasn't even vacuumed. At least they didn't put my antenna on another person's car (that had already left) as they did to the lady next to me. I paid for the ultimate wash and have gotten better results from a do it yourself drive thru. I won't be back. read more

Been taking my car and truck here for a couple of years. Service is up and down.....right now it's more down than up. The wipe down guys miss easy areas like the rear bumper next to the trunk lid, chrome emblems are left dirty, and the vacuuming is half-ass at best. The worst job has to do with the windshield. I don't know why they don't use a clean towel. The windshield is always smeared and in the mornings all you see when looking through the front window are smear marks. You would think this would be an area of great attention...after all, it is what the customer sees every time they drive. read more

I don't know why they have such a low rating, they do a great job with my truck and have always been very polite.

NEVER again! Terrible service! After 15 minutes, NO attendant came over to see what I was interested in. When the attendant finally did come over, he seemed surprised that all I wanted was for the outside of my car to be washed and dried. I tripped over the curb walking out to my car and NO ONE asked me if I was ok OR offered to help. read more

HORRIBLE experience today. I took my white vehicle through the car wash and paid for the $29 service. I watched as five kids joked around while my car was supposed to be cleaned. When I arrived home, I realized that the exterior of the car had dirt and grease everywhere. All it took was a wet rag and a little strength to remove the grease and dirt. It literally didn't look like it had been washed at all. I contacted them to complain and they said sorry. WILL NEVER GO BACK! read more

After multiple disappointing visits I have decided it is finally time to give up on Dave's Auto Spa. The fact is the car is always still dirty on exterior with a quick wipe and vacuum of interior we could all do in the same 15 minutes. I could go to one of the less than $10 washes with free vacuum and accomplish the same thing... Or find a place worth the $25 charge here. Just leaving as wiping dirt from my console... read more

I thought purchasing the $27 wash would insure a better job! I definitely don't recommend spending the extra money!! There was dirty areas all around the SUV. They did take care of the areas. Rims were still dirty. Found that out after I got home. And the window on the front and the back glass was very summery. read more

One if the worst car washes I have ever been to. I can't even describe how poor of wash this was. Your local gas auto car wash cleans better than these people. Stay away. read more

This was our first experience at Dave's Auto Spa. We drove up with two cars in front of us. The attendant was on his phone and never came over to our car to see what we were going to do. The car in front of us was greeted and then left her car there to be washed. Still no attendant greeted us or came to our car. After ten minutes of waiting not knowing what to do with our car, or whether or not we should get out and go to the attendant, we just left. We will not be returning to this car wash any time soon. read more

although my car was clean when I left, everything in my side door compartment was either thrown out or stolen. my hand sanitizer among other things. they also "lost" the car magnets I had on the back of my car and it took about 10 minutes before they suddenly reappeared from the building with them. only one person spoke English so trying to find out where these items were was difficult. won't be going back again. read more

Staff was clueless about what each of their services cover... got the deer in the headlights look... very helpful.
