First time going to this establishment last week. I had heard they provided great service. The gentleman who initially took my car was very kind, courteous and efficient. Car went through the wash and came out to be dried. When car was give it back to me, it looks great however the tires have not been touched. After further review the windows have not been cleaned thoroughly either. Not a great first impression! I think I'll stick with Carpool. read more

The guys that work there are super friendly, which is great but what really earned them 5 star rating is the quality of work for the price ($80 for interior detail). My car was f*ing disgusting-mostly from my toddler and the fact that it hadn't been -properly- cleaned in over a year. I waited about an hour and 45 minutes, which is a long time but I completely understand it took that long to get these results. Not sure what the wait time is like for normal cleaning- but again, this was far worse than "normal". At the end he walked me through the stains he couldn't get up, and returned a pile of stuff from under the seat that I didn't know about (and I thought I'd cleared everything out beforehand)-- including a small purse and an ipad that I hadn't seen for months!! I wish I could post the before and after pictures. 10/10 will go back to Dave's on Hull street for car details. read more

Years ago this was a good place to take your car to get it cleaned promptly. The out side wash was great. I also know that after I show you the footage of your broken mirror and your car going through the car wash you will realize that you mirror was broken prior to your visit to my wash. This review is for the Dave's Auto Spa on Hull Street but I could not find it on Yelp, so it's going under this one. I went on 9/20/2014 at around 4 pm and asked for a service not currently listed on the website, I believe it was $40 and was one step above the Ultimate Wash, which I was willing to pay for and wait for, but the attendant told me that they were busy and did not have time, that's okay I thought, so I decided to just get the Ultimate Wash for $25. I got my car back 10 minutes later and noticed it looked almost exactly the same. The floors were vacuumed, until I looked under the mats and saw they did not vacuum underneath them, the dashboard was dust free but that's literally all I can say I'm pleased with. The interior doors were still dusty and looked just as they did prior to coming in. My interior doors are not cloth material and should be easy to wipe clean, I could have and should have just done it myself to save myself money. I in retrospect am grateful that they were too busy to provide me the $40 service. I will say everyone working seemed very pleasant and nice, and I feel bad leaving bad reviews because I bet management just tells them to be quick with the service- I would have preferred waiting 30 minutes+ for a more thorough cleaning, but I guess this isn't how this place works. Anyway, this was my first visit here and unfortunately will be my last, which sucks cause it's literally right outside my neighborhood. read more

I have always liked Dave's Auto Spa. Once a year or so I like to take my car in for a really good cleaning. However, this year will be my last. I paid for the $33 car wash and was extremely unhappy. The car was barely vacuumed, about half the dash was not even wiped, the wheels were not cleaned, and the smears on the inside of the windshield were horrible. I could go on and on. I got a gift card for Christmas purchased to be enough for two washes. I went today only to realize that they had raised their prices, so I decided to use the entire gift card for the Extreme wash rather than one and a half regular washes. When I picked up the keys, the employee asked me for a tip which should have been my first warning sign. It looked nice from the outside, so I got in and drove home. When I got home, I did some further inspecting and noticed dog hair still all over my passenger seat and rear seats and crumbs and dirt in little cracks and crevices. I also transported some plywood last week which left some dust, and that was completely untouched. I opened my trunk only to find more dog hair and dirt on the back of the seats, and the door jam (which is listed on the included services) still full of dirt and leaves. Again, completely untouched. Needless to say, I will not be returning for a "wash" ever again. read more

I went here expecting lots of elbow grease to be put into my car: paid $21 and waited for about 10 minutes and when I got my car back there were still tons of bug stains on my hood and mirrors! I got home and scrubbed the remaining stuff off myself. I could have saved $10 and gotten an auto wash and then scrub off the rest myself. Now I know what to do next time. read more

I just returned from your Midlothian location and I must say, it was the worst car wash I have ever had, unfortunately. My car looked almost as dirty coming out as it did going in... I had the 2 guys redo the front area, where it was especially dirty, but it is still isn't all that good looking. They even commented about how the actual car wash itself really doesn't remove all the dirt and insects, and just going over areas with a damp rag isn't going to get the car clean. I will not be looking and I was hoping to find car wash that would meet my needs since I am new to the Midlothian area. I will not be returning there. read more

Went this morning for a $27.00 detail. After the attendant called me over proud he had done a great job I found dirt on the rugs, dirt on the dash and smudges on the windshield. Took a 3 week old vehicle to be cleaned after a long road trip to Dave's auto spa, rear windshield wiper was broken off by brush/cloth system. Report was filed with manager and was told there insurance would cover and they would call back in a day or 2. over 3 weeks later and many attempts to talk to the manager about indecent have ended up in run around/he's not in, will call back, try tomorrow...checked BBB rating and wish i had done that first......will never use again. I was in a hurry and didn't get a chance to check Yelp first - big mistake. This place is absolutely awful. Looks like this review will add to the collection of many similar dissatisfied customers. Anyway - hands down some of the worst customer service and quality I've ever experienced as a consumer. I signed up for the rewards program online to redeem the $5 off coupon and when I presented it to the cashier, he refused it saying he couldn't enter it into the system and didn't offer any sort of alternative. I paid $27 for the"ultimate wash" and it was the ultimate rip off. It doesn't seem like it was vacuumed or "thoroughly vacuumed" as advertised. Dog fur, dust,and crumbs were still on the floors and the back hatch of my Jeep wasn't touched. Finger prints and spots all over the inside consoles. Simply a rip off. I go to Dave's maybe 3 times a year hoping it has changed and am always disappointed. Too bad because I would go every month or more as well as my wife. Staff is friendly and do their job. Sometimes you spot a slacker, but hey, it's a car wash job. I'm sure they are being nickel and dimed in America. The problem at this place is the established process. Do not use this place! First of all, I went here because it was close to my home and was stranded for hours waiting for roadside due to the idiot employee leaving my car on not turned on the appropriate way and drained my battery! I went and asked for a refund and the 'so called' manager of the place advised I would need to speak with the DSM and gave me his number. The manager didn't even care that the employee drained my battery! They were concerned about $25 bucks when this man could've caused serious damage to my vehicle. Unacceptable. While I am sure their car washing is totally adequate, I must comment on my experience this morning. I had a groupon for 2 washes, one was used some months ago and we were give a wash ticket with the expiration date of 1/26/2013 printed on it. I took the car today to redeem the second wash and was told that groupon had made a mistake with the date and the groupon would not be honored. Dave's has likely already received payment from groupon for my iniital purchase, so why not honor the groupon?? I will request a partial refund from groupon, then Dave's will have to give a refund to groupon--so many steps when they could have just washed the car and not lost a customer! read more

BAN DAVES AUTO SPA!!!! The owner, Jeff Meade does not care about his customers and does not respond to incident reports when his business damages a vehicle. Dave's auto spa ripped off the entire panel on my drivers side door of my Yukon. The site manager wrote a report and said I would be contacted in a few days to handle the situation. After 6 emails to the owner from me in regards to handling my damaged truck, I have only received one response from the owner and told that it's not his problem and his business has rights and does not have to fix my truck. He finally said he would meet with me to look at my truck, three weeks after the incident and has not lived up to his word to meet me. My experience with Jeff Meade and Dave's auto spa has been horrific and everyone should ban this establishment so that he goes bankrupt. The owner has no regard for his customers and if the wash damages your vehicle. He is the most unprofessional business owner I have ever encountered and has no regard for anyone but himself. He is an arrogant and selfish human being and deserves all the bad publicity possible and I hope his business goes under. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH EITHER OF HIS LOCATIONS!!!! read more

Just left Dave's on Robious and the people were not friendly, the car windows were not cleaned properly . My car is a month old and when I asked the cleaner what was the large black mark on the the door frame he said it was road grease and would not come off. The guy was not happy that I asked. When I got home I used water and it came right off. To make matters worse I called the Manager and when I was speaking to him he either hung up or the call was cut off. This company is beyond horrible, my husband was an employee for three years in his time here he experienced many illegal activity on all sides. Starting with abuse from his bosses, he was told everyday by a lot manager that he would "get knocked out" if he asked to use the bathroom, get a drink of water, or when his check would be available. The lot manager made all employees clock out in between cars (time clock theft). My husband would work overtime for Dave's and when he would receive his check hours would be deleted by the management! Workers steal anything of value in the customer's car including the management. Their carwash tunnel has been broken all the years my husband worked there and still have not been fixed. They let their employees do drugs on the property inside of the carwash tunnel. One lot manager would call my husband every night intoxicated cussing him and telling him he would be fired if he didn't do things their illegal way. They hired my husband without a social security card, put in the wrong numbers and refused to fix it. The level of abuse was unreal. When our son was a newborn I brought my car in to have it washed and was asked to leave the property for nursing my son. I'm leaving this review as a WARNING!!! Please be careful! They will not give any contact information for the owner and block any communication between the customers&employees and anyone above them. Management has cashed former employees checks and said they lost them, take tips from customers and keep them instead of giving it to the workers who worked for it. I'm writing this review for our experience at the Hull Street Rd. location, but it doesn't matter since I'll never get a response from Jeff Meade, the owner. On Nov. 14, 2015, we took our Suburban to Dave's for a wash. During the wash, the rear wiper arm was snapped off by the machine. The manager on duty, Boyd, was very helpful, had us fill out a damage claim form and told us that the owner would be in touch to take care of the damages to our car. After numerous e-mails, phone calls, messages left with on-site managers, and Facebook posts, we still haven't heard a peep from Jeff Meade. I'm appalled that anyone could run a business this way, much less live his life this way. Do not go to Dave's Auto Spa. They do a horrible job and have a long history of not standing behind their work or damages caused by their machinery. Just check Facebook or Yelp and you'll find many more stories like mine. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! My mirror was ripped off during a wash. The manager, Brandon Shortridge said I told the cashier the mirror was already damaged. I called out the cashier, Claire, and she said she was mistaken. Brandon said he was there when the car went in and he noticed the mirror was damaged. This was a bald faced lie! He was nowhere around when my car went in. We filled out an incident report and no one has contacted me. Terrible customer service. I have been going here for a long time with out much trouble. I have a full sized conversion van. They have never charged me more before. Not only have their prices gone up, but they are charging me half again as much to my van stating it takes longer. It did. It take that much longer. Then, it was not perfect and I made the kid complete it. No where in their website or signage is it stated that a larger vehicle would cost more. A few bucks maybe, but to charge $40 for a normally $27 wash is ridiculous. None of my cars will ever go there again. read more

Inconsistent. Website says open at 8 but be careful. Today I drove up and there were cones blocking the entrance at 8.26 am. I called to see when they opened, "around 9" was the answer. But it gets worse. I left my truck there to get lunch while they cleaned it one day. I came back and the battery was dead. That makes sense as the door was still open. There was no offer to assist in anyway shape or form. Finally,another time $60 in cash was taken from my center console. Again nothing was done about this. Do not recommend if you want a thorough car cleaning for interior and/or exterior. They do not have leather cleaner or any kind of cleaner for seats. Their idea of an "ultimate wash" is only taking a vacuum to the inside. After they were done, I noticed bird poop still on my wind shield, cup holders not even touched, crumbs in between seats, floor mats dirty. The two boys were very nice about cleaning what was missed but I would not go again as they do not have the supplies or eyes to clean a car properly. read more
