We went late on Sunday night to enjoy happy hour and half priced games and had a great experience. We were quickly seated and our server had great energy that really helped set the tone for a fun night. We started with a chicken quesadilla which was delicious and packed with huge chicken chunks. For my meal I ordered the eat and play combo wings and they were terrific. They were crispy underneath and the sauce was sweet and very flavorful. We also enjoyed happy hour beer, although I did not realize it was domestic beer only so my Modelo did not qualify, which was a small surprise. We did an hour of free game play and there was a really good variety of games, especially for a group of three. The game room had a large selection and everything felt well maintained. All of the staff we interacted with were pleasant and friendly. Overall we were really impressed with how much they offer, including catering and large event options. I love coming here as something fun to do. I like that they have food and drinks and a variety of games. Definitely come on Wednesdays when the games are half off. I also like in the prize section if you don't have enough tickets for something you can pay a couple dollars to get enough points (which sometimes ends up being cheaper than trying to earn the tokens) food is pretty good and the service is always great. Arrived to a dining room with many empty tables. Was told it would be a 15 minute wait by hostess. She was relaying the manager's instructions. When I asked the manager what was the difference if we sat and waited or stood she got firm and stated it was a 15 minute wait. We have been to this location twice while driving through Gainesville. The food orders have arrived wrong both times. And when we asked to correct it, we were told the kitchen would have to charge us (even though the waiter put in the order correctly and the kitchen messed up). On our second visit, we arrived back at the hotel to discover that we paid for 4 drinks from another table. We had to return to the location for a refund. OMG who knew that the kale ceasar at D&B was sooo dang good! I want to come here just for that and I did and did not know it! My sorority sister got one and we both devoured it the salad! It was a delicious! It was my first time in the Gainesville D&B and it was very lively which I'm not surprised-initially we had to wait but service was fairly quick and the server was fast and attentive! The ambiance per usual, loud, lots of people and just overall fun vibes. I was pleasantly impressed by the salad because I make great salads and I'm usually not impressed with restaurant ones but omg it was so good paired with the salmon! They completely double charged me while i was drinking im happy hour. I asked prices of drinks each time because I was trying to keep it under $50 for drinks and food. The cocktails were $5 and the shots were $8, i had 4 drinks and 2 shots ($36) + chips and queso for $11 so the total should have been around $47. WHY DID THEY CHARGE ME $78. The receipt had nothing on it and they told me that's how much it was but i know it's not because i was tracking it to keep around my budget. Went to D&B for the monthly bike night hosted by RideNow Powersports. I had a great time. The DJ was AWESOME! Lots of people and motorcycles. The food was good. They originally got my order wrong but immediately fixed it. It was so many people and orders that mistakes are bound to happen. Finally got here to try this place out. Servers are SUPER friendly. Food is average and what I expected. I didn't come to Dave and Buster's to be blown away by the food - and I wasn't. Overpriced for what it is, but again, I expected as much. The little guy had tons of fun here and it's nice that there are a lot of games that don't require any kind of video game skills - perfect for youngsters. The play card is a little pricey as well considering how many tokens each game takes. Plus a $3 activation fee. Overall, it's an expensive night out but makes a fun treat for kiddos. read more

The food/cuisine is average, the drinks are average, the entertainment is pretty good but I think it may be boring after novelty wore off. The place is multipurpose and does everything just average. I sure hope Splitz doesn't close just because of this place. Went as a family on opening day. The entrance was a weird layout with a lot of greeters and I couldn't tell the purpose of all the people or where to direct my attention. We were seated at a table in a kind of impressive family style sports bar area by a hostess and the first thing we noticed was the very limited menu. We ordered fruity drinks (with barely any alcohol) We ended up with a burger, buffalo wings and chicken tenders. The food tasted ok. Nothing to complain or rave about. My sin ate all his tenders, the burger was not juicy nor dry. The wings were not spicy or dull (slightly sweet). The drinks were sickly sweet and barely alcoholic. They wouldn't let us "supercharge the drinks with shots because "rules," but other drinks you can get shots in. You can't take drinks with you while you play like other D&B and that's super boring. I didn't like how many rules they had and didn't find this location enjoyable. I hope they reconsider some policies. I have never been to Dave & Buster's before so I went with two friends to the Celebration Pointe location on a weeknight. We started with food and they were offering an "eat & play combo" where, for a set price, you can choose from a subset of entrees and then get added game chips on your Power Card. I went with the fish and chips and when it arrived it was literally dripping in oil. It was the thickest batter I've ever had on a fried piece of fish and that coating was soaked in oil. The fish sat on top of some fries which were saturated. The puddle of oil in my basket had to be soaked up with a napkin. It was a hefty portion of fish, of which I brought some home, but after the extreme nausea and gastric distress later that evening from all the oil, I could not bring myself to eat the rest. I am not much of an arcade person so I felt the games at Dave & Buster's were okay. A couple times the machines ate my game chips but it wasn't worth finding an employee to explain and get my tokens back. I can see how some people might really love the idea of going back to their childhood at Dave & Buster's, but to me it's an experience I can say is one and done. read more

Just left D&B - where do I start? Order Bacon Burger with truffle fries. First attempt was wrong burger, bartender thought I said American Burger vs. bacon burger. Took about 30 minutes to get replacement. Ordered medium, came rare and like warm. Bacon was piled high, but looked almost raw. We went on a Saturday night for food, drinks and to watch sports. Our wait staff was beyond amazing that is the only reason for two starts. We ordered the Catina Nachos, Voodoo Pasta, smokehouse BBQ ribs and Big Daddy Chocolate Cake. The pasta had way to much sriracha which made it hard to eat (very vinegar like), the nachos were 90% chips and white queso and the ribs were extremely salty. They sat us at an end table next to the gaming area which is very loud and distracting, and I expect that in a place like this, however we told them we wanted to watch the game. Their was one tv by us playing what we wanted and when we asked to have another one they just said-they will do it later. Never happened. We tried to bring a large group from my office here. We called ahead of time and was told they do not take reservations; however, when we arrived (and it was dead) and just snagged some tables (there was no host and no one offered to seat us) the manager came over and told us that they were short staffed due to another larger party that HAD a reservations. When we explained how we had tried to make a reservation, the manager offered no solution. He simply reiterated that they were short staffed and that if we stayed service would be very slow. She was unfamiliar with the menu or how to charge and left the table multiple times to ask question. After this we received our food about 20 minutes later and never received our drinks. Our waitress was no where to be found. Multiple people said they would get our drinks. No one did. After I finished my food, I finally got my ice tea and alcohol beverage. She was patient, very helpful & the sweetest lady. She made our visit here better. The games were great, we played about 1/4th of them. We ordered beer (it was fresh), Shirley temples for kids (they even put a cherry in it), nachos (great), & Truffle fries (came with 2 side sauces). One of our water games messed up, we told someone. He immediately remedied by shutting it down to be repaired & gave us credit on another game. That was nice because we spent 10 tokens each (30) on it. They were repairing it within like 5 min. No complaints only praises! Loved it here. We have been to larger D&B's but this one was perfect! I was so impressed with Dave and Busters today, Not so much with the food - it was fine but for the staff. When we walked in the staff at the game counter immediately made eye contact and smiled that doesn't happen much anymore. We ordered our food and I ordered the steak salad, it was supposed to have blue cheese crumbles on it and thats why I ordered it, it came out with no blue cheese and when I asked our server she went to the kitchen who told her they were out of blue cheese.She asked if I wanted to replace my meal but it was a beautiful salad and I said I would take it home and fix it there - thats where I thought it would end. But the floor manager came over and checked in - our server had given her the situation and the manager proactively discounted our check she came over after and made sure I didn't want something else. This all used to he commonplace in the service industry (Ive been in it for over 30 years) but its not anymore, and I really appreciate when good service from top to bottom shows itself. read more

The games are lame and all in all it is a waste of your time and money. Overall the experience was fun, but some games were lack luster as well as it took a little bit for us to get seated despite many open seats. Other than that the way they serve the food is amazing with virtual payment, menus, and you can get food and pay for it with barely a word to the server. We ordered wings and fries and vegetarian Cobb salad. The fries were brought about 5 minutes after wings ordered. A vegetarian salad was ordered and came 30 minutes after all the food was ordered. On a good note, the drinks and food was good and they have the best strawberry lemonade I have tasted period. Prizes in the arcade are the absolute bottom of the barrel. I have been to countless Dave and busters around Florida and this one is the absolute worst of the bunch. The games are somewhat ok, lacking compared to all other d and b's, there's zero flare or interesting things to look at in the building, no pool tables, literally nothing cool. The dining section is dull and uninspired, and the prizes in the prize booth are just extremely awful and there's probably 25 different toys to choose from compared to minimum 100+ toys at other Dave and busters locations. The franchisee of this one clearly doesn't know or care about quality arcades. Definitely skip this one and go to a different arcade. Would rate lower if I could. read more
