We order door dash a lot from here. Usually we stick with the sandwiches (legendary) and pasta which is awesome. Was looking at ordering it for dinner tonight and picking it up. We were going to switch it up and do a pizza. No thanks. $27 for a large pizza? I get inflation and its probably comparable to their competitors but holy cow there are way better options for the price point. Ordered from here for the first time last night - easy website and they have great "specials" to order from. Everything was great! Pizza was hot, meaty, cheesy goodness. BUT, they get 2 stars because today I re-heated a slice for lunch and......I found hair. We had always loved Davannie's but it has gone down hill for awhile now. Once in awhile you might get lucky and get a good pizza and hot hoagie. Tonight the pizza was not so tasty. This Davanni's has excellent beverage offerings! They sell bottled beer and also have a coca cola high tech soda dispenser that allows you to serve yourself every possible combination (and I do mean "every") of coca cola, tea, smart drink, etc. that you can think of. This Davanni's also offers local delivery which is always prompt and professional. The food, service and staff are always excellent and always far exceed my expectations. I have been coming to this location since they opened in 2008. I especially love the group/party room too. We held my son's 18th birthday dinner celebration in the party room and it far exceeded our expectations! read more

We ordered online for eat in dining. Ordering the pizza was easy. Ordering drinks online was not. We waited and had to purchase our fountain drinks in the restaurant. The pizza was ready when we arrived! Love this ordering option. It was nice to walk in and sit down to hot food. The pizza was placed on the counter for us after we purchased drinks. That was it - no plates, no forks and no napkins. Because of Covid these items were not out for us to get ourselves. We waited. Finally, someone came to help us. The young man at the computer was busy taking take out orders, and he seemed to be the only one doing any work. The pizza was ok. The crust was tough. The ingredients were fresh and overall it was satisfying. The seating area appeared to be clean. However, the booth we sat in had pizza sauce on the seat, so it was apparent there was no extra effort taken during Covid to clean the entire space. The table seemed to be fine. I did not look at any other tables, but they were all bussed and we were the only family eating in the restaurant. While we ate the pizza, we wanted extra cheese to add to the pizza. My son waited at the counter but nobody came to serve him. He saw a shaker of cheese located on the counter behind the pop machine and helped himself to it. Again these items are usually out on the counter for self service, but due to Covid they are not available and again nobody would help my son. While we were eating our pizza, an employee came to our table, and grab the cheese shaker and very rudely said that this was for making pizzas. No excuse me or I'm sorry but I need this....Just very abruptly and very rudely grabbed it, scolded us and went back to the kitchen with it. Then the kitchen staff continued to talk very loudly about how they couldn't believe that we would take the cheese. My son had no idea that it was something special and was something he shouldn't have touched. Usually these are out and usually free to use. He really made an honest mistake and given the chance would have said so. He just tried to problem solve because he couldn't get any help. He is just a little boy. NOTE: We were the only people in the restaurant at this time. He felt terrible. It was very upsetting. The employee was so rude and obnoxious. When we were leaving, I went to the counter to ask for the name of the employee that was so rude. The very nice young man that worked the computer was at the counter said it was Nathaniel that came to our table. When I looked into the kitchen, there was Nathaniel with no mask on along with another young man with no mask. *Mask are a state mandate now. I thought about taking a picture, but instead told them they should be wearing their masks as they were working with food. One of these employees then proceeded to dangled his mask on his finger in front of me as I walked by the window to my car when he was clearing our table. Seriously! That's why I'm here writing this review. My son certainly could have waited longer for service. He had no idea he wasn't suppose to take anything off the counter in which he did. We explain that to him after this entire event transpired, but what did transpired after seemed worthy of telling the public so they can make a judgement call if they would like to patronize a restaurant that would actually have employees treat their customers this way. I have been eating at Davanni's since the 80's. I'm done. At least with the Rogers location. The place has really gone down hill. My deep dish pizza tonight had sauce on half the pizza And scant toppings. Very poorly made. This has become the norm at Davanni'. Soggy pizzas, no sauce, sauce all over the box, burned. Good food but a big staff making a lot of mistakes. Three of us stopped by on a whim tonight. I hadn't been to a Davanni's for at least 10 years. The idiot behind the counter (the only one who looked like an adult) couldn't figure out how to give me my receipt. First, he gave me the receipt for someone else. Then he couldn't figure out how to print mine. Finally, he said he'd bring it to our table with the food. My wife and daughter's food came out but my meal was missing. After a while (I was polite and waited) I went up front and saw my poor hoagies, forgotten in the food delivery area. I had one of the kids retrieve them...no longer hot, of course. And of course, I never got my stupid receipt. I counted a total of 6 people in the back area. There were at least 2 more that I saw earlier. Yes, i LOVE this place! I think it's the most north Davanni's along my route up north. I've dined here a couple times, and both times were for "Pick Up". Just yesterday as i was headed TO the Cities, I learned how to time it best -- since it only takes 10 min, I call right around the first set of lights in Elk River -- and bam, when I arrive my order is fresh. Davanni's, my husbands favorite pizza store. Not so anymore. This was our 3rd try with the Rogers store. 3rd and last time. Thought it was just off times and pizza would be better next time. Have patronized Davanni's for years but the thin crust pepperoni, mushroom pizza - again crust tough, sauce no taste, cheese blah. What the spice on top was did nothing for the cheese on top. Not to mention our first experience was flat soda from the soda machine. Told them about it they attempted to fix but still the same. So disappointing as this store is so close to our home. We will not be getting pizza from this Davanni's. I am hoping that the great pizza we always got from Davanni's is still the same at another store and their quality has not gone down the drain. For starters this is probably one of the best Davannis locations I've ever ordered from. They checked every ingredient listed in the pizza when I said there was an onion allergy. And then called me back to discuss what they can do about making me a pizza. It turns out that it was totally OK (onion powder: okay, raw: not so much) and they made sure that all the utensils and gloves were fresh and everything was clean before they made the pizza. The amount of care over an allergy is refreshing, normally I say onion allergy and one always seems to sneak in. Haven't had a bad pie from here either! read more

Davanni's has the best hoagies hands down. I order the same thing nearly every time I go to Davanni's and have been a customer for more than 30 years. There are a number of their menu items I've not tried (calzones, pasta, salads) because their hoagies are so good, I have no desire to try anything else. Rarely, we'll order pizza, but I think it's pretty ordinary. One thing Davannis does that's extraordinary is no matter what store you go into, their employees are always friendly and customer service oriented. Kudos to them for that. I'm also a huge fan of their pop machines. Endless combinations of pop with flavors are available. Not many restaurants have diet Sprite or decaf diet Coke. My daughter, husband, and I went to eat there on the eve of Mother's Day. Many people do this to avoid the Mother's Day crowd. That was our plan. We avoid crowds due to the fact that my daughter can't handle them due to her autism,. However, we wanted to celebrate Mother's Day. My daughter had a temper tantrum waiting for her food.
