My computer had been dealing with slow boot times and weird hiccups for a while, and I honestly had no idea what was causing it. Shaun dug deep and found the real issue: my SSD had some serious corruption going on along with a blown up startup file. Stuff I never would've caught on my own. He got it sorted out and running the way it should. On top of that, he installed a brand new second SSD for me to use for AI and LLM training, which was huge since I've been getting more into that side of things. While he was in there he also optimized my system (about a 10% performance boost on top of everything), got all my fans running off a single program instead of a mess of different software, and even reorganized my components so some ports that had stopped working were usable again. He came over, I told him that I wanted to be able to plug my Sony into the USB port and have it come up showing the actual photos I just took (like I was able to do on Windows 7). Within a few minutes he had made that possible for me. Then in August 2023 it wouldn't work ... he came over and said "Microsoft just changed something" - but within a few minutes he had it working again, just slightly different. And then about a week ago it stopped working ... this time when he came over he told me "oh they took away the option we were using", but after a little while he said "this is how we can do it" Clicking on Start in Windows 10, clicking on photos, import, select which drive, etc, etc. Anyway - it works again. Chris's service fee was perfectly reasonable, but (through no fault of his own) the manufacturer cost for a new motherboard was more than I wanted to spend--Razer always charges an arm and a leg for parts. So instead I opted to upgrade to a newer device, and Chris pulled all my files from the dead laptop's hard drive. He was extremely quick and communicative throughout the process, helped me through some questions when I transferred the files to my new computer, and even wiped the old laptop after I gave the go-ahead signal.
