I should also note that it was not exceptionally busy. My vehicle was at the front of the detailing line once it came out of the wash, and I waited maybe 10 minutes tops while the detailing was being performed. I believe there were 2-4 staff members working on my vehicle but may be wrong. When I was called to collect the car, the staff gave me the opportunity to look over the vehicle. I politely declined, assuming that they had done the work I had paid for. I immediately noticed, once in the vehicle, that they left a lot to be desired. I am not one to complain, I will just take my business elsewhere. I will probably continue to use one of the self-serve carwash options when I am not in a hurry and don't mind doing the interior myself. Otherwise, I will be seeking a different option moving forward.

My car needed a wash pretty badly (thanks, birds and snow), so I checked for the closest car wash…read morenear me at the time and landed here. It's at the corner of Meadowbridge and Atlee in Mechanicsville. I had two cars in front of me that took seemingly forever to finish up. Since I hadn't been to a car wash in a while and didn't notice the tiny piece of paper taped on, I couldn't figure out how to work the pay machine. It turned out that you have to wait til the car in front of you is inside the wash. They have prep available before the wash, and I watched the lady in front of me apply it to her car while a maskless attendant chatted with another maskless guy. All said, I skipped the prep. I purchased the $11 mid-level wash. The wash itself seemed like every other touchless wash. It did a semi-decent job, and cleaned off the birds' gifts, but I was most annoyed by the soap sediment that stuck to my front windows (both sides) and on top of the car. So now I have to remember to clean them myself. It wasn't a terrible experience but next time I'll look for a wash that at least rinses off the soap.

Although the location is close to home the lot it's on is tiny and on a busy day it's a tight squeeze. If I had a magic wand and could make a few improvements I would 1) make the washing bays a little bigger. I have an SUV and getting that thing inside the wash is a job. It's also a little nerve wrecking when exiting because you can't see if the car in the other bay is leaving having a mirror or a sensor to alert you would be awesome! 2)The other thing I would like is the ability to pay with my phone or credit card at the vacuum station. I never had change so when I need to vacuum my car I have to "borrow" money from my kids piggy banks! I realize most places that have vacuum machines operate using coins but a update is needed in this space. Overall I enjoying using this car wash and am so glad to have it in my neighborhood!

I got the $20 wash which is 2 levels above basic. The most expensive was is $29. I don't really consider this a tunnel wash, since you drive in and stop in one spot just like the gas station. Once the wash is over a door opens and you drive into another room where the dryers move around your car. You can see from my picture not everything came off. Photo was taken once i got to my families house 8 min away. Bottom line, in my opinion you can get just about the same wash at your gas station car was for $5-7 less. Disappointed.

Pros and cons of Flagstop Cat Wash-…read more Pros: The location is great, it's right off of Chamberlayne Rd at Shady Grove. Service- usually there is an attendant who can guide you through purchase of your car wash. Flagstop has an app. If the attendant invites you to download the app for a future free car wash, do it. It costs you nothing and you earn points in a variety of ways, you can pre-pay for washes and earn a freebie. During your birthday month you earn lots of points. The car wash also offers a membership, which is different from just downloading the app and signing up. Members receive more points. The car wash process itself is automated and quick. Similar to most car washes, there are choices as to what level of wash you want. Vacuums are included at no additional cost! There is a designated area where towels for exterior and interior detailing are available, again, for no additional charge. They also have glass cleaner, no charge! There is really great value here. Cons: there isn't enough water pressure here to get bird poo off your windshield. Yep, my first time using the words "bird poo" in a Yelp review. The car wash is gentle enough so it won't damage your vehicle, but yea. And there is risk of damage, I have not had any issues, but if they are super busy, it can stress you out a bit when you are in the wash and you look in your rear view mirror to see a tailgating car behind you. This car was has only been here for a few years, but there is a little bit of wear-and-tear with some of the "after wash" equipment. For example, the vacuum hose nozzle kept falling off. All things considered this car wash a really good value when you use their app.
