The staff, volunteers, and clients were so hospitable--not just to me, but to everyone I observed. The genuine care and concern shown for those receiving services was so evident. The staff and regular volunteers are invested in this community. Chester is no walk in the park, and these people choose to come in every day, build relationships, pray for the community, and serve. And they serve people with dignity. Have you heard about their Hope Cafe? In addition to serving cafeteria style meals all week long, on Saturday evenings, the space is transformed into a restaurant, the guests order from a menu, and they are served just as they would be at a restaurant. The Mother-Baby program provides families from the community with necessities they may not be able to afford on their own. Moms can get diapers, formula, clothes, diaper bags, etc. There is a recovery program for men who want to be freed from their addictions, and they do community outreach delivering meals, backpacks, turkeys, and toys. Cityteam Chester does a real good job of celebrating and sharing good news through their social media page on FB. Check them out!

My husband mentioned that there is a small local business in Folsom that sells all kinds of appliance parts. I stopped by and the women there spent time with each customer giving tips on repair and ensuring they have the right part. When she waited on me, I showed her picture of the part and she said let's try this small $18 part which most likely is the problem. If that doesn't work you can Capp and I will have the switch ready for you. She was absolute right. I went from buying new dryer t o fixing it myself with an $18 part thanks to the knowledge of this woman. Thank you !!!

BUYER BEWARE This place is a rip off, I purchased a…read morerefrigerator 7/15/2025 for $1200. I was told to put down a $100 deposit and pay the rest cash when the refrigerator is delivered. Basically if I paid debit/credit they were going to charge me a some high taxes (blah blah blah). Refrigerator was delivered on Friday 7/18/25. The guys told me do not touch anything for 24hrs. Saturday I set the temperature for the refrigerator went food shopping ($487.00) and was ready to move on NOPE. That Saturday after putting all my groceries away I noticed the refrigerator was constantly beeping saying high temperature & the refrigerator light would stay on when the doors were probably closed. And not to mention they didn't properly put on the freezer door handle so that came off Monday 7/21/25 I called the store and told them the issue, he send a guy to my house who only fixed the freezer door and left. The beeping wasn't consistent it slowed down to only beeps sometimes and my 13yr old son figured out a way to get the refrigerator light to turn off and keep the temperature cold. Friday 7/25/25 I had enough called the store to complain, I'm feeling like $1200 plus groceries down the drain. He told me call manufacturer it's nothing he can do. Rude customer service, rushing me as if I'm disturbing his day. Monday 7/28/2025 I put in a claim with my homeowners warranty company because I knew I could get someone out the same week with $100.00 co pay Thursday 7/31/2025 Apex appliances came out and boom he informed me that a pit had to be ordered because the refrigerator has burnt wires. So here I am waiting on the piece to come so my refrigerator that I purchased less than 2 weeks ago is broke. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. THEY ARE SELLING BROKEN APPLIANCES.

I didn't want to purchase anything from the 'Outlet' as, in the past, when I did buy something from the Outlet, it was 'college' dorm quality furniture and I had to return it. Pelle assured me that the Shelby style bedroom furniture displayed at this location was NOT in that category and he wasn't wrong. The bedroom set is great quality and I'm extremely happy with my purchase. Pelle was wonderful to work with. The delivery service was outstanding. The two men were Professional & hard working. I also really liked the Tracking capability for my order as it helped with communication for when the product would arrive. It was EXACT and on point.
