So I found myself believing the promises of their larger competitor (the place who does all the advertising). After being on-order at the competitors for 8+ weeks, I became frustrated and called Appliance Alliance again, in search of inventory. Salesperson Nick (aka, my miracle man) found several models of double wall ovens that could be delivered within a week. Professional installer Joe Torrie was available the day after delivery. Wow, I hit the jackpot! So here is my recommendation.... (1) shop at Appliance Alliance, (2) ask for Nick, and (3) schedule installation through Joe Torrie. That is the winning combination!!

My husband mentioned that there is a small local business in Folsom that sells all kinds of appliance parts. I stopped by and the women there spent time with each customer giving tips on repair and ensuring they have the right part. When she waited on me, I showed her picture of the part and she said let's try this small $18 part which most likely is the problem. If that doesn't work you can Capp and I will have the switch ready for you. She was absolute right. The chandelier needed to be swagged and the amount of chain that came with it was insufficient. Stephen cut several more feet of chain for us and included it in the purchase. The store on Gay Street is not large, but there was a good selection of chandeliers and we are very happy with our purchase.

A different sales person was there and i told him i wanted to return the shades since they did not work for me. The sales person told me they do not take returns after 7 days. I informed him that it was only six days, in addition I was never told that at the time of sale. He continued to say he could place a special order because he can't give a return. He grabbed the lamp shades without giving me a refund. I stopped him from taking them until I received my refund. He refused to give me a refund for at least 45 minutes! I even called my credit card company to find a way to cancel my purchase. The sales person was taking pictures of me while I was on the phone with the credit card company. The person on the phone could hear parts of the conversation and was concerned. I asked for his name. He refused to give it to me. I asked if he owned the store. He did not, so I asked for the name of the owner and how to contact her or him. Was told the owners name was Steve Yack and I could reach Steve by calling the store, but he was not there, or email him at chesterlighting503@gmail.com. As I was writing an email while in the store, the unnamed salesperson insisted he would give me a refund if I signed a blank piece of paper. I did not. Finally he processed the return. I also took pictures of the sales person after I saw him videoing me or taking pictures while I was on the phone with my credit card company. This was the most abysmal customer experience. A quick 5 minute exchange turned into an unnecessary 45 minute fiasco. I always try and support local small businesses however this business is one I strongly advise you avoid. I did send the email to the owner but did not yet receive a response. Very sad.
