He waited while I ran to Home Depot and then to Lowes trying to locate the right Schlage door handle to match the Keypad Deadbolt he was installing. He took the time to teach us how to use the new keypad and made sure we were familiar with the new locks, suggesting we call him if we needed updates. On the way out the door he noticed that an office door handle had been installed upside down, so he switched the handles at no extra charge. This company is superb and I highly recommend them. It's has been quite a day..My 23yr old son and 2 friends are visiting from Baltimore..They set out this afternoon for Tropicana Field to see the Ray's play the Orioles. About 30 mins later I received a call from the State Police asking if Max was my son and my heart sank as this happened once before to me and I learned of my husbands death in a multi vehicle highway accident. Thank god Max was fine but I was FLUSTERED to say the least. I gathered by things rushed to the car and realized I locked my keys inside the house. Lucky for me I had a spare car key and thought I'd worry about getting back in the house later. Upon my return I spent the good part of an hour devising ways I could get into a house I know is locked up as securely as Fort Knox..LOL It was hopeless so I realized I needed to enlist the services of a professional. Oh but what's this my cell phone is dead so I march in the direction of my kindest neighbors. The lady of the house happily assist me dials a number and hands me the phone...and here's where my review finally begins ( but I think my story was important because you need to understand my mindset to appreciate the review) The gentleman answers and takes my info. He say very professionally "I'll be there in 20 mins" and 20 mins later he is in my drive as promised!!! He gets me into my home in no time flat!!! Yeah!!! I am at this point grateful beyond words. I go to pay this man who just saved my day and I don't have enough cash on hand to pay him and I gave son my card to enjoy himself at the game. The young man smiles at me and says "that's okay just give me what you have and we will call it even." I'm rendered speechless at his kindness and as you can see from my review that the word 'speechless' is not part of my vocabulary..LOL I'm left standing here thinking WOW, just WOW!!! What a fine upstanding business man. Professional, timely, efficient, understanding and KIND. You cannot go wrong by calling this gentleman and giving him your business. He had no idea that I was, by that point at my wits end. He was just doing what came naturally to him. The world is in a tough spot and how refreshing to be treated so wonderfully during the throws of my overwhelmingly difficult day. Darrell came out to the house fully equipped to change out all the locks. He arrived within the hour in the pouring rain. He was expedient, cheerful and professional. He took the time to explain what was wrong with the main lock and how he would fix it. Locked out on a time limit! We were in town moving my brother's belongings into storage for the summer, when we accidentally locked the keys for the car and the lock in the storage unit! Not being from the area we did not know anyone to call, and to make matters worse, the electric gate was going to lock us inside till the morning in less than 2hrs. My mother was trying to go thru AAA but time was ticking away. My cousin tried to Macgyver the lock open with a clothes pin, but the lock was too heavy. I found Darrell on a google search and called hoping the reviews were true. He took my call very patiently listened to my situation and told me he was leaving to meet me as he hung up the phone. I had no expectation, but he arrived with 20 minutes saying with a big smile, "Did I just make your day or what?" He opened our lock with a twist in about 3 seconds, was able to save the lock (even though he had brought one to replace it upon our request) he was very knowledgeable and professional, he even was able give us advice about better locks. He has a real heart for what he does and seeing our state of being was VERY fair with the price.
