I am VERY satisfied with my new tint. Carlos was very professional and did a great job explaining the process to me. My old tint was bubbling pretty bad on the back window, and Carlos pointed out that on rare occasions when the tint is this deteriorated it can damage the rear defroster strips when removing the old tint. I was glad that he pointed this out up front, as I prefer when people point out the downsides as opposed to glossing over them. Carlos did a great job though, and the rear defroster stayed intact. The new tint looks awesome and really gave my car a face lift. His customer service was great, the tint looks great, and the price was great. Check, check and check! read more

I've had my car tinted by Carlos before and he did an excellent job on my Mini and my husband's Charger. I recently got a Benz and needed this bad boy to get tinted. I bought a new Lexus that came with factory tint, but didn't seem nearly as dark as the tint on my prior car, so I called Darkside based on the stellar reviews. I arrived for my appointment and Carlos could tell right away that my factory tint was at the legal limit of (I think) 35%, and performed a test confirming it to be the case. He said that he could go darker, but of course that it would be illegal, so did not recommend it. I felt truly horrible about this since he's a small business owner and I basically wasted a valuable appointment for him. I appreciate that he was honest with me and didn't put me at legal risk so that he would make money that day. Darkside Window Tinting tinted the windows in my 2006 Mercedes C230. Carlos was very friendly and showed me different tinting options. I decided to go with 35% on all the windows (except windshield). I hung out in the Starbucks down the street and read for 2 hours while he worked away. The windows look fantastic and I can see no imperfections. The tinting is under warranty and Carlos explained how to properly care for the windows to avoid scratches or bubbles. I'm very happy with the result. I created this Yelp profile so I could share how great my experience was... that should say something. The entire process was easy: Carlos treats you like a human... friend even... when you call. He even called me before the appointment time to say that he was running five minutes late. Customer service/availability to the client was flawless. The actual work took a few hours but the tint was perfect and priced right. Connected with Carlos over email first to get Quotes for my Wife's Mini Cooper S, and my Dodge Charger. Great Prices, between $200-239 (before tax) per car. Took around 3 hrs per car, looks great, no bubbling, whatsover, we went with 30% tint. Great communication all the way around. Would highly recommend, and we plan to go back when we get new cars. I also give major kudos to Carlos, as the back window of the Charger looked like a pain to get to, yet he did it with no problems. Carlos is hands-down the best tinter I have ever had the pleasure of working with. After days of looking around for the place I wanted to take my car to get tinted, I found this yelp review page of Darkside. I called Carlos and scheduled a time to meet him and kept looking. I wanted options just in case I wasn't completely satisfied with his responses. I called a few places and was non-plussed with everyone else. When I showed up for my appointment my heart sank - this place did NOT look like a top of the line tinting place. But let me tell you - IGNORE the building! Carlos answered all of my questions, didn't pressure me into anything and even let me know that there was a Tib down the road with the same tint that I was looking at so that I could compare before settling on a tint. I came back and went a bit darker and was completely satisfied. Car was done when he said it would be, it was clean, the tint was PERFECT! He even answered all of my neurotic pesty questions (I am big on attention to detail). After needing to replace my front windshield (stupid gravel trucks) I went back to get the top line re-tinted (that soft tinted piece by your rear view was tinted as per my request on my first visit). The price to tint just that piece was reasonable and he fit me in at a convenient time for my schedule. I've just scheduled a new appointment to take him my brand new 2013 BRZ Limited and I have no doubt or hesitation that he will do an AMAZING job again. I refer all my friends to him and they are all amazed at his work. Last week I had my new Subaru tinted here. The work and customer service were both excellent. Carlos was very flexible and kind, despite my being a less-than-ideal customer. I called 3 times in 15 minutes to change my appointment time, and then was late picking up my car after he waited around for me. He didn't complain or show any agitation at all. Just got my Mazda 3 tinted here and so far it looks flawless! The shop used a Madico film with a lifetime warranty which Carlos, the owner, said should last a lifetime. I went with the 30% tint and am happy with the results. It took 2.5 hours, which I thought was pretty fast, and the prices are good as I did some comparison shopping before I picked Darkside. There's not really a waiting room, but if you walk up the street there's a Starbucks you can hang out at or an Ezell's if you prefer the aroma of fried chicken over coffee. Even though the shop looks a little sketch when you first drive up the owner is professional and the work is legit. I've been driving by this place for years. Don't let the exterior scare you off. Welcome to the Darkside! Had my Mazda CX-5 windows tinted. Carlos did an excellent job. Very professional. All of my questions were answered. Every car is different but I was charged $275 plus tax for tinting of driver and passenger windows plus the tiny rear side windows in the back.
