I drove one hour both ways to get it done at Skyline, which I think tells you how badly wanted to get the windows tinted here. Here are pros and cons, followed by my advice. PROS + Andrey is responsive. He answers questions thoroughly and responds to emails quickly. + He is in this business for 20 some years, and he know the stuff. I went in thinking I will go with 35%, but he recommended 30% and advised against going any lighter than that. Initially, I was a bit worried that 30% would be too dark, but I'm glad I followed his advice. 30% is exactly what I wanted and looks great. It's like picking a paint color for your house. You would know until you see it on the house, but experienced professionals know what it will look like. + I thought the price was reasonable. I chose a single layer ceramic film by autobahn. It took them 4 hours to install it on my C43 coupe (side windows and the back). I paid $400 plus tax. With the quality of work and the time it took them, I don't think $400 is bad at all. + It was clear to me that customer experience was important to Andrey. He threw in a bottle of window cleaner made by autobahn for free. I found two really minor scratches on the passenger door (probably caused by finger nails, nothing deep). Instead of arguing with me he offered to buff them out. CONS - I can't think of anything. MY ADVICE @ If you need to kill time while they are working on your car, Alderwood Mall isn't too far. As I had 4 hours to kill, I walked there and back. It took me 40 minutes each way. Adjacent to the mall are H-Mart (Korean grocery store), Costco, and a couple of strip malls. @ As always, whenever you give your key to anyone, take pictures of the car. I usually take pictures and video tape the car. Although I didn't have to deal with it with Andrey, it's the only way to avoid your word against theirs. @ It comes with 3~5 days of curing time. During that, you cannot roll down your windows. Also, you may see some minor bubbles, but they are supposed to disappear. Once the curing time is over, I will post some photos. Within a year, started peeling, when I reached out to the owner with pictures he refused to honor the warranty even though I took very good care of the car, hand washing only. The owner, Andrey, was very aggressive and unfriendly. Refused to take any accountability for his defected product or labor. Shifted blame and accusation on me. Stay away from this place. Not worth your time and money.

The work remains incomplete, and after what was done, I raised concerns about the quality of the workmanship, the value received, and damage I believe occurred as a result of the work. I have since obtained a repair estimate from another shop exceeding $6,400 to address the issues I identified. I reached out to The Paddock by email, but the response I received did not address my concerns, and since then I have experienced a lack of communication from the company. At this time, my concerns remain unresolved, and I am still waiting for the company to meaningfully address them. I am posting this review to share my current experience so far and will update it once I know how The Paddock handles my dissatisfaction.

I found this place by reputation and they were competitive on price, professional, and knew their business. They helped me with ideas on how to improve the look of the car with chrome blackout and other aesthetic suggestions. They didn't charge much extra for those and really helped me like the look of the car better. They also did some extras gratis. They sent me pictures as they did the job and really helped me to get excited about their excellent work. I enjoyed the car for a year, did the proper care for it by hand washing regularly, reapplying the coating every few washes. Was really blown away at our 1 year appointment--they got a few stains out of the interior for a modest fee and now my car looks like new both inside and out again. The normal fee for the annual appointment to refresh the coating was $165 and they charged me just a fraction of that extra to take care of the minor interior stains and professionally condition the leather. They earned not only their fee but great tips each time I went because they far exceeded my expectations. I'm so happy I chose to give this shop my business.

DO NOT USE DARKSIDE TINT!!!! So had had an appointment a month ago and had some windows tinted on my Mercedes. As I pulled up to the dark side I thought I was in shock that any business could look this bad. I was thinking if it looks this bad on the out side what am I getting myself into for quality? I was referred from a co worker so I waited for Carlos the owner to get there. He opened and showed my his films and went over everything. In the end the film looked good. I paid and went on my way. A few weeks later I heard a scratching sound coming from my windows. I had moved to California now and had a local shop look at the work. He said the the install is terrible and It needs to be redone. He then explains to me that two windows are peeling and the rear window is bubbling. I am now forced to pay again to have dark sides film removed and reinstalled correctly by a professional company. I learned that the warranty dark side gave me couldn't be used in California because there weren't any dealers close to me. DO NOT USE DARKSIDE TINT!!!! read more

I Had my ford mustang tinted by Carlos a few months back and I decided to write a review to tell my fellow yelpers about my experince. I wanted to get all the windows tinted in 5% but im sure he didn't install the film I wanted. I've had other vehicles tinted in 5% and this definitly does not look as dark. Im almost positive this is a 20% or something along those lines. The install was ok but i did find a hair in the back glass and a bit of dirt along the edge. I know tinting can be difficult but a hair??? quality control ??? Hello??? So overall Not as good as other installs I've had at other shops and Im pretty sure its not even the shade I asked for! For my next car Ill be calling around others who TAKE PRIDE IN THERE WORK! read more

After researching the heck out of car window tinting I decided to trust my husband and use The Darkside. Carlos was great. I love the tint job. I went with 35% on my white Audi A4 and the contrast looks nice. Uses Aegis brand film which also has good reviews. Thanks! It is in a run down building but low overhead equals better pricing. read more

I just had Carlos apply some tint to an older 2001 IS300, and the results were fantastic even for a 14 year old car. I also brought in some stick-on window visors, and Carlos happily installed them along with the tint. Great service, and highly recommended. read more

Response was quick and informative. Fortunately there was a cancelation and i was able to take the appointment. I dropped off my car and the options were confirmed to have a ceramic tint. This establishment does not participate in Groupon since the quality of materials is much better here and they do not cut corners. Trimming is all done by hand with craftsmanship and pride in the product. This place also has experience with applying Tesla cars which can be important. Since there are establishments that will not touch these cars. We discussed pricing and this place came in about average for other places. I would recommend this place for your tinting and wrapping needs.

I talked to experienced acquaintances who told me not to buy from the dealer, but to get a pro specialist to do the job. I'm so glad I did that. I looked around and got some quotes. I found this place by reputation and they were competitive on price, professional, and knew their business. They helped me with ideas on how to improve the look of the car with chrome blackout and other aesthetic suggestions. They didn't charge much extra for those and really helped me like the look of the car better. They also did some extras gratis. They sent me pictures as they did the job and really helped me to get excited about their excellent work. I enjoyed the car for a year, did the proper care for it by hand washing regularly, reapplying the coating every few washes. Was really blown away at our 1 year appointment--they got a few stains out of the interior for a modest fee and now my car looks like new both inside and out again. The normal fee for the annual appointment to refresh the coating was $165 and they charged me just a fraction of that extra to take care of the minor interior stains and professionally condition the leather. They earned not only their fee but great tips each time I went because they far exceeded my expectations. I'm so happy I chose to give this shop my business.
