They are like bananas and avocados - will ripen in a brown paper bag. Then walked a total of about a mile to pick several species of apples including walking off the beaten track to the plum grove and found a lone plum or two to enjoy for a snack while continuing the walk in the shaded area under the warm sun. Since it had rained, removed my sandals and walked barefoot through the muddy crossroads and through the fuji apple trees. Often our party was greeted by staff asking how our day was or how we liked the food. Finished with a combo blue raspberry and watermelon slushy. There were several varieties of colorful butterflies on surrounding potted begonias. Go here for new experiences and leave with positive memories. Some years back after I worked my night shift, I would go there to buy few dozen donuts, usually glazed and bring them back for the staff lounge, as a treat for the morning shift. At some point, they had to close due to roof damage and they never opened that Sixth street location again. Luckily for me, they opened another location near my house on 22nd and Alvernon. I've been going through the drive-through just buying donuts for myself for 3 years or so. I learned on Monday they were closing for good. It's so hard to imagine because they're so tasty and then they even have a drive-through! Yesterday my former boss called after hearing the news herself, just to be sure I knew Le Caves was closing and talk about our donut memories from fifteen years ago.
