Well, unfortunately, I only made it to the bathroom and I understand the restaurant is from 1966 and I love old things, however, this establishment was not a good fit for me. I happen to love old things; I love old Antiques, I love the old ways, I love old places , but when it comes to eating, I guess I'm a little on the picky side. Unfortunately, I didn't even make it to the booth or table because when I walked in, I walked right by a server who was sitting down at the counter which I was really excited about, I wanted to sit there because it reminded me of when my dad would take me out to the local Walgreens (or sandwich place) and we would get a little bite to eat and a sundae in a sundae glass!! Granted it is the lull of the day for a Saturday, but I was ignored and then I tried to get the attention of the guy behind the counter by walking straight past the server (whom I thought may have been off shift) but he also ignored me??? By this time, I had already driven over an hour or so to get here so a quick bathroom break was needed. After going to the bathroom first and seeing the condition of the bathroom, I just decided it was not for me. I think I'm overly picky when it comes to restaurants, so I'm sure it's just me. For the first time, I decided not to take a chance and I'm seeking elsewhere to find a burger locally! Jen & I love our Mexican Food and this area has several restaurants to choose from, it's been several years since being to this one so being Jen's first trip here I thought we'd stop in, it was around 3:30 - 4:00pm a little early for dinner but had a game to go to, we were greeted by a fridenly staff member and seated promptly as the rush hasn't been in yet, Jen order the Pizza Taco ( different ) and I had the 3 street tacos, the tacos weren't bad but not the best meat was a bit dry and lacked flavor, refried beans were ok and the Spanish rice so so ok it lacked flavor and didn't seem that fresh, Jen's Pizza Taco looked amazing but not the best in taste, again lacked flavor. I don't think I'll be back in a while but hope the restaurant can make some changes to keep people coming through their doors for some good Mexican Food. FYI the murials on the walls inside are pretty cool to see.
