Meat loaf was fantastic. Fired catfish was outstanding The ice cream is every bit as good as you remember from childhood. Dari Dip is a piece of classic America. read more

Very friendly staff, good food and fast service. I had grilled cheese and bacon my wife had country fried steak. Would eat here again

My co-worker and I were in town, briefly and had about an hour to kill around lunch time. We spotted this classic looking eatery and stopped in. We parked on the side of the building and entered through the that side door. I was pleased to see that there was no mandatory mask requirement. The employees were wearing their's though. It wasn't crowded at all since it was around 1pm. We sat down and were promptly greeted and our order was taken. I had the big cheese burger and fries, a cup of coffee and some water. My burger came out quickly and was warm. The bun had been toasted a little, which is a nice touch. The fries were fresh and crispy. The coffee was fresh and wasn't too strong. Everything was really good. It was a basic, classic restaurant. Nothing special but certainly a good place to kill an hour. I'd recommend a name brand ketchup. They serve the basic distributor brand and not Heinz or Hunts. Crinkle cut fries would be a nice option as well. Overall, the service was really good and the food was nice. I much prefer to eat at a small place like the Dari Dip than a big box restaurant, especially in a small town. Support your locally owned businesses. read more

BLAND. The only thing at this place that has flavor is the ice cream and it comes in a container so they don't even make it .

Food not cooked. Took it back and threw it in microwave and brought it back still not done. Took it back for again to microwave it and I told them to keep it and they still made me pay for that junk! We used to eat here once a week. Not anymore!! read more

Been coming here since my teens, when I would come up here to visit my grandmother. Have never had a bad experience at the Dari-Dip

This is your classic old style southern eatery. They have been in Lafayette for as long as anyone can remember and the folks there are really nice. They are keeping an excellent menu going during Covid even if they had to cut some items temporarily. Their burgers are excellent and the Chicken Strip Salad is the wifes favorite. All of the deserts are really good. These are local folks who are doing a great job keeping the food coming during Covid, I make sure to visit them at least once a week. The lady who claimed this place was dirty was telling tales. She was probably a yankee. The Health Inspection Score is 99. The place is older than dirt, but it is not dirty. The food is decent... not terrible, but not great. The desserts are pretty good though.

Great place...been opened a long long time, must be doing something right! Friendly service, great burgers...that's all we've tried so far but they had a good sized menu with daily specials. Oh and the brownie sunday was excellent! read more

See all

I really don't see how this place is still in business. The food is meh...over priced on some things....a bowl of bean juice, cornbread muffin, 2 slices of tomato and a glass of tea shouldn't be $7. I gave them three stars for the simple fact they have awesome waitresses. read more

Very touch and go. Not a lot of choices around here so we come once every few months. The atmosphere is horrible-- neon lights and cold white (dirty) walls and booths. One star for cleanliness. 3 stars for impersonal, mediocre service. 3-4 stars for the food. They want to be Cracker Barrel but don't make the grade. Sometimes the food is pretty good, though not spectacular. Other times it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. The dessert is usually great. Love the soft serve ice cream and my husband usually thinks the pecan pie with ice cream is good. read more

Worth the trip just for their potato pancakes and pecan pie cobbler. Great service and reasonable prices.

Excellent food served by very friendly staff! Food was hot an fresh and prepared perfectly. Wait staff & owner very friendly & attentive. Best place to eat in Lafayette. read more

Excellent food served by friendly and attentive staff! The desert was awesome. Me and my family will be going back again

I had the open face roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy with fried okra. It was reasonably priced and the people were very friendly.

Just finished a dari dips in Lafayette what can I say other than this is probably the worst place I've ever eaten in my life. I have never had a chili dog where the chili consisted of ketchup, chunky pieces of tomato and three or four beans. Not a piece of meat to be found in the chili. the all beef hot dog tasted like it had been freeze dried and heated in an oven in the cold stail hard bun. It left a lot to be desired. Coupled with cold french fries and the horrible ice cream, it was probably the worst meal I've ever eaten at any restaurant in Georgia. To those who give this place 5 stars or 4 stars we really gotta get them out a little bit they have to go somewhere else so they know what dent food taste like they're not getting it at dari-dip. read more
