I can't remember what her name was, unisex name, I believe it was Randy. I do clearly remember her saying that she used to live in Morganton. I asked to sample the Larry's Lemonade and it was great. I ended up ordering the Wanchese tiki punch. This was absolutely delicious! The Larry's lemonade wasn't too tart and was very easy to drink and then the raspberry beatbox splash gave it an extra punch. This was a great laid back spot for a drink with fantastic service! Service was so good I stopped back in later when it was busy and a live band playing to grab another but they had ran out of Larry's lemonade.

She really enjoyed the rum here. While the drinks are fine, if a bit pricy, the service is lacking. The two girls that work here do not have the maturity or customer service skills to make it worth coming back for me. Are college-age girls the only available human capital available during the summer months here? I sat at a table which is supposed to be waited on. After letting the girl know I wasn't ready, I asked for some water which I never got. I sat for 10 minutes being ignored. I finally went to the bar to order and was helped immediately (the place was only half full - not that busy for two people). Not a good experience. At $14 a pop for a craft cocktail, I expect better interpersonal skills from a bartender. Why do employers think that the personality trait of 'nice' translates to a better employee?

We popped into White's for a drink and a snack and we were pleasantly surprised by all that this store offered. The overall vibe is that of a grocery store and general store. As an added bonus, they had a lovely section offering gifts. Even more fun, there is a small section selling vintage items. I personally was happy to find a 40 year old Milton Bradley puzzle. Toward the back of the store there is what I could call a lunch counter or deli. The restaurant looked comfy and the menu looked temping. There were a few diners in there and they all seemed happy. Service at the counter was a bit distracted but overall, we had a good experience here.

Originally we walked over to get some Mexican food next door, but one of the owners of the winery was there and we got into a conversation with him about the wine. He made their wines sound so unique and tasty, we decided to try! As first timers, we were walked through the experience of wine tasting. We did the flight of 6 for $12 + you get a souvenir glass! We like sweet, so we did 4 sweet and 2 dry. My favorite was the "Swan Beach Sunset", which has a black cherry taste and pairs SO good with dark chocolate. What a treat! My boyfriend loved the seasonal "Frost" which is very sweet. Great experience. Thank you!
