One guy working there was really awesome and gave us ideas on which tequilas to look at. I don't drink tequila, it was for a gift. So with a price range of $11-$100 I wasn't sure what would be a good bottle. He showed me the area to focus on. I chose one and when I went to check out (a different guy) .... I asked if I picked a good bottle and he responded "well you're about to find out" I would assume for a liquor store the would have some knowledge about the liquor other than "doesn't matter- you'll get drunk" comment. Had exactly what we needed with decent pricing points compared to a lot of tourist areas- well stocked, clean, and helpful friendly staff.

Ridiculous experience! Husband, daughter and boyfriend (all over 21) went in. Boyfriend had just turned 21 two days prior. Woman would not even look at his or my daughter's id. Boyfriend went back later by himself with his id and same woman said she would not "serve" him because she had to now see my daughter's id that she refused to look at the first time? My daughter wasn't even with him the second time. What? I finally went back with my daughter and her boyfriend. He sat in the car. She then told us that she had to see his id. At this point, I knew she was just playing games and told her she was being ridiculous. When I asked her name, she refused to tell me and said she didn't have to "serve " me? (I think she fancied herself a bartender?) The best part was when I went to check out with the other man in the store, he said he supported his colleague and would not complete our transaction. read more

Easy in and out, small store but good variety of the basics and some specialty items, definitely cater to the beach goers who don't have time to mixup fancy cocktails but want more than a shot. The store staff was absolutely wonderful and helpful. read more

ABC Store - a blue and white sign for abc liquors - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Nags Head, North Carolina

First time in this store so I asked the young man taking inventory, if they carried Sake of any kind and his responses was "we aren't a grocery store, we only carry hard liquor." I told him where I'm from, our liquor stores carry more than just hard liquor and that's where I find the Sake. I also told him that he shouldn't be such an ass next time a customer asks a question. Clean, easy to browse store with all the hard liquor you would need. The prices were a bit high, but not for the region. It easy and convenient. Lots of people there who were happy. read more

The place it seems like everybody goes too when they get to the beach! We actually had to wait in a line to get in because there was a crowd before the doors open. The space was open, clean, had everything displayed nicely, not many sales which was disappointing but we got what we needed and got out of there pretty efficiently. One interesting thing to note, there cashier system is ancientt and can't split payments. A friend and I went and tried to split the payment of several bottles and their system wouldn't allow it (or at least that is what the woman said?) read more

Hardo working for $7 an hour wouldn't let me bring my child in and threw us out. I think they want you to leave your kid in a running car. Told us he was calling the cops on us for not all being 21. read more

This is the second time I've been kicked out of this ABC store because the cashiers at the time thought I was too young to buy alcohol. Even with my ID neither one at either times thought I was old enough. I'm going on 22 now, and this has never been a problem at any other ABC store. The people here are judgmental and have completely lost my business. The store was so convenient too, and had a easy going lay out on the inside with great pricing. It's a shame I have to drive out of the way to go else where. read more

Clean and well-maintained. The signage is easy to read and there are a good bit of beverages on special in every category. The prices are comparable to PA state stores. read more

Do not go to this store. They sold me a bad margarita mix then wouldn't exchange it to make things right because it was already opened. How am I supposed to know it's a bad mix before I open and try it? Horrible customer service. read more

I didn't want to leave my 13-yo daughter in the car while I shopped for our vacation, so I brought her in with me. I wasn't going to until I noticed another young girl in the store with her mother. The guy behind the counter rudely threw us out. My sisters asked why they hadn't done the same to the other girl, and the woman behind the register yelled at them. As we were leaving we told some other people going in that they would throw anyone out under 21 even with a parent and they answered that they brought their kids in all the time. Just went in to buy 3 bottles of liquor. The checkout guy rudely kicked my son out first because he isn't 21. The girl that checked me out did a horrible job bagging the 3 bottles so when I picked it up from the cart the bag ripped and one bottle dropped and broke. Glass flew all over my legs and feet. Which then cut my hand trying to wipe it off. And they wouldn't replace the bottle of liquor. I had to buy a new bottle. Which I did not do. The only highlight is the jerk that kicked my son out had to clean up the mess. Will never go back there again! read more
