Sadly, communication was completely inconsistent. It took their office weeks to get back to emails so when I tried to cancel within the two week policy or at least figure out scheduling before the start of the new month they would let emails go unchecked because they were out of office. In one instance, I arrived 10 minutes early for my lesson, as always. The instructor was running behind, which I understood, so I waited. However, by the time my lesson finally started, 20 minutes of my scheduled time had already passed. Instead of making up for the lost time, the instructor ended my session as originally scheduled--meaning I only got 10 minutes and didn't even get to ride. What did I do in those ten minutes? Get the horse saddled and ready for the next client. When I brought this up, I was assured it wouldn't happen again... yet I was still charged in full. Then, after experiencing a sudden medical emergency, I reached out to request a refund for the current month (which had just been charged since I was able to ride anymore). Their response? A dismissive email telling me to "plan better next time," as if I could schedule a medical emergency in advance. They ignored my follow-up and still haven't refunded me. The management is unprofessional, the customer service is nonexistent, and the way they treat clients is unacceptable. Don't even get me started how the older man spoke to me. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.

Everything I said previously still holds true and my horse is healthy and happy at Flying Fox. It's a special barn with a fabulous group of gals who do all sorts of activities with their horses from eventing, dressage, show jumping, and trail riding. Our trainer, Taylor Lindsten, is outstanding, very versatile, and a wonder with horses of all types. We also have a group (me included) that go horse camping, ride to 92nd Street Cafe for cocktails, go swimming with our horses at Lake Pleasant, ride in parades, and more. Meanwhile, the feeding program at FF is top notch. And, the owners are always looking out for your horses.
