All night turn out is offered for those horses who do not have a walk out which is really great. The atmosphere is laid back and they are really accommodating. Overall a great place.

From the moment we arrived, the entire place felt like a step back in time -- a true throwback to the Wild West, complete with the spirit of cowboys and Native American history all around. You could feel the stories in the land, and Rusty brought them to life in a way only someone with the authentic cowboy spirit could do . Rusty was more than just a guide he was a storyteller, a teacher, and one of the friendliest people you'll meet. He didn't just stick to the clock; he went way over the time we purchased just to make sure we got the full experience, and never once made us feel rushed. That kind of care and dedication is rare, you can tell he didn't just treat this like some regular 9-5 job and we appreciated every second of it. Along the way, Rusty taught us things about the landscape, the animals, and the history of the area that we never would have known otherwise. His knowledge made the tour not only fun but truly meaningful. The ranch itself is stunning -- open skies, rolling terrain, and that Wild West charm that feels untouched by time. It's the perfect setting for a wedding, school field trip, or any group looking to connect with nature, history, and a sense of adventure. We can't recommend this place -- and Rusty -- enough. Thank you for giving us memories we'll cherish forever! - ZAIRE, 06/27/25

I taught firearms but Bill took everyone through a brief course on firearms and did an excellent job making novices very comfortable! Overall one of the best experiences I've had in Arizona!!!!

I had numerous issues which I brought to their attention and every time Joanne would start yelling and screaming and throwing a conniption fit. When I first arrived my horse had very calm horses on either side of him. Shortly thereafter Joanne allowed a high strung horse to be stabled next to my horse which created issues. I asked Joanne if she would move the high strung horse and she did not. There very small riding arena has 4 to 5 inches of sand which is not suitable to ride in as it will cause suspensory issues to your horse. A sand based riding arena should be 1 to 2 inches. One of Joanne's horses chewed and destroyed my very expensive halter I kindly asked her to replace it she said she would but after 4 weeks it still hasn't been replaced. They lock up the feed room and do not allow you access to your own supplements and grain which is unheard of in a barn. Joanne did not disclose that her neighbor to the east hates her so much that he fires up the lawnmower or something very loud daily to disrupt the horses and your experience while at the barn. Joannes cursing is offensive and she's constantly ranting and raving. Joanne and Liz created a very stressful environment for my horse and myself and therefore I would never recommend this place to anybody under any condition or situation.

I had been looking for something with more immersion than a simple trail ride, and wanted the members of our group to experience a taste of horsemanship, rather than just hopping on a horse and going nose-to-tail for an hour. Lori worked with me to put together a full agenda including everything from a facility tour, safety/horse psychology seminar, gathering horses, to grooming, tacking up, lunch, then bridling and getting some basic riding lessons in the arena before tackling a trail ride together. We had the great privilege of meeting the one and only Rocco and having him give us a phenomenal overview of horse psychology and sharing well informed views on safety around these powerful animals. While their horses are supremely well trained (especially Jimmy!), Rocco made sure everyone understood that part of being a good horseman is having respect for the dangers associated with what you're about to do, and an understanding of how to stay safe. Lori and her wranglers, along with Rocco, joined us on the trail ride. Most barns will have only a couple wranglers for a group of our size, but Lori arranged for us to have one wrangler per guest, which was fantastic and likely helped people's confidence, since only two of us had ever ridden before. The trail ride was outstanding and so much better than your typical "follow this well worn dirt path on level ground" that I've experienced in the past with other trail riding outfits. It was much more free form and spontaneous and that made it a lot more fun. It was a great privilege to personally meet and then ride the trail with both Lori and Rocco. Their enthusiasm and energy were infectious and kept everyone in our group engaged and excited for what we were doing. In fact, every single person we dealt with was super friendly, professional and courteous. It's unfortunately quite rare to find a trail riding barn where the management appreciates that they are in a people business, not a horse business. I was really happy to see that this place was the rare exception. At the end of the day, everyone was thrilled with the experience and had a fantastic, memorable time. This was so much more than a simple trail ride, and I am so grateful that Lori was able to help me put this together. I would highly recommend this barn, whether for a trail ride or something more involved like this half-day event. It was absolutely worth it and a tremendous value that was competitively priced. Please give them a try and see for yourself, you will NOT be disappointed.
