My daughter had been begging for riding lessons, and it was very difficult for us to find a reputable ranch to instruct her at such a young age. She started her lessons at Rockaway Hills Ranch at five years old and I couldn't be more pleased, Amy has exceeded my expectations for her as an instructor, she is patient, knowledgeable, and very friendly. I love that her lessons include learning to saddle the horse and riding techniques for young children, as my daughter was accustomed to just being thrown on a horse and lead around by a rope in the past. During her first lesson she rode (Daisy) all on her own in a small round pin (under Amy's guidance) with no lead rope. Since we've started our lessons my daughter has become more confident around horses and is even able to do some trotting, her passion for horses has grown exponentially since she began going to Rockakway Hills Ranch. I highly recommend them to anyone interested in lessons!

BEWARE of the owner, he makes promises with no intentions of following through with them…read more I would have done zero stars but there is no option for 0. I had to take a month long work trip with very little notice and after looking and talking to multiple horse boarding places I decided to go with Oasis. First we talked on the phone he said he had two 12x20 stalls next to each other with all day turn out. I made him aware that one of my horses is 21 and has severe ring bone and arthritis and definatley needs daily turn out. Also very important my 21 year old gets her 12 pounds senior feed daily or she will loose weight. He said no problem ill take good care of them. When I got there to look at the facility the stalls were only 16x16, really small for 16 hand horses. He reasured me they would be turned out all day, daily and only in the stalls at night. Yelp just said I couldn't have over 5000 characters so I had to really shorten this. Long story short my 2 horses got turned out 1 time in 30 days, my horses did not get there grain and my 21 year old horse appears to have lost atleast 75 pounds, missing there new halters and lead rope. He promised me my horses would be well taken care of. He told me they sent everyone a daily report on water intake, stall cleaning, turnout time and food eaten. I thought wow thats cool never had a facility do that before. He seemed like a very nice and knowledgeable man so I agreed to board my 2 horses with him. A normal border can always hand walk a horse during irrigation or rain, ride them or put in arena but I was 1600 miles a way so I trusted him to do what was needed and he didnt even try. I feel so bad for putting my horses in this situation. And, to put it nicely I really dislike the owner because not only did he totally neglect my horses and there needs he caused me enormous stress for a month. Soooo dissapointed! Feel free to call contact me through messenger if you want more info. There is so much more to this but yelp only allows you to right so much. Misty Beck

Staying at this dude ranch truly felt like coming home to family. From the moment we arrived, the…read morestaff welcomed us with genuine kindness and treated us as if we'd been part of the ranch for years. The ranch itself is a treasure--old and full of character, with history dating back to the 1940s. I loved wandering through the original buildings, admiring the authentic architecture and décor, and flipping through the photo albums filled with memories from decades past. The team here is absolutely outstanding. The cooks, Jesse and her husband Jeff, made every meal feel like it came straight from a family kitchen--comforting, delicious, and made with care. In the front office, Lisa was friendly, organized, and always ready with a smile or helpful suggestion. And the wranglers, Wendall and Ritch, were simply the best I've ever had the pleasure of riding with. Their knowledge, patience, and humor made every ride unforgettable, and Wendall's personality in particular was a highlight of the entire stay. Being tucked away in Wickenburg--the roping capital--meant that daily roping competitions were part of the experience, adding excitement and authentic cowboy culture to each day. The trail rides were scenic and peaceful, offering a perfect way to soak in the Southwest landscape. On top of everything else, the ranch doubles as a stunning venue for weddings and corporate events. With its history, charm, and warm-hearted staff, it's hard to imagine a more perfect setting. If you're looking for a genuine dude ranch experience filled with heart, history, and unforgettable people, this is the place.

It was quite a drive up to the ceremony area. 4 wheel drive vehicles only recommended just for that. We had an amazing dinner cooked/catered from the Flying E staff. Everything was so delicious: steak, salad, baked potatoes, corn, rolls, and there were plenty of drink options & hors d'ouvres before the meal. Funfetti & chocolate cupcakes, white cake, & carrot cake were the dessert options. There was dancing, cornhole to play, S'mores to make, and a log coaster branding station. This is a great place for weddings. Once it gets dark, it's hard to see to get out and it gets dusty but if you like a western theme, this is definitely your place!
