Daphne's family meal is the perfect dinner pickup when I've been working late. I can call ahead or order online and my food is ready to quickly pickup when I arrive. My family loves the gyro meat with pita, salad, rice and hummus. read more

Food is great but cashier touches everything and then bags your food, touching my soup lid after touching money, credit cards, the register, the counters.... Without washing hands. Yuk! read more

We love Daphne's. This time we went for the Family Feast, having received an email saying you get $5 off the Feast (regularly $35) on Saturdays if you request it while ordering by phone or in person (not online). We had no idea how much food there'd be, but the name implied it'd feed a family of four. Since our kids are long gone and we're now a family of two, we figured it would be enough for us, and we spun the wheel. So. much. food. And so good. For our two proteins we picked hand-carved gyro (yummy) and chickpea falafel (surprisingly kinda spicy). For sides, we choose "seasoned" basmati rice (meh, very basic) and roasted vegetables (carrots and green beans with a smaller amount of zucchini and yellow squash). We chose hummus for our sauce. Glad we didn't pick tzatziki, because they threw in four little cups of that for free! We ended up getting two full lunches for two full adults (everything reheated well) out of it. I'd estimate it's a value of $40 to $48 for $30 (with the $5 off), maybe equivalent in quantity to four individual $12 plates of food -- a good solid deal if you can agree on the choice of proteins, sides and sauce. Recommend. read more

Not sure what's happening to this place, or if the long-time manager has left. Two terrible experiences in a row, with missing parts of our order on both occasions, not answering the phones and employees goofing off. Used to be a wonderful restaurant. read more

Great food and family really loves the gyro. Staff was friendly and food was hot and taste was the best.

I love this place. Almost everything I have tried here is great. My husband and I even had one of our holidays partied catered through them, everyone loved it. My only complaint and reason for them to not get the full 5 stars is their online ordering. It is never ready when you get there. They do not start your order till you are in the restaurant, so what's the point of ordering ahead? So just beware if ordering on a lunch break. Other than that, it's a great place and I miss the one in Camarillo. read more

I came here for pick up and it could be this location or just in general... but not really feeling this place as much as I use to. The food seems to be more mediocore, the service the same- good, however this location could use a bit of clean up. I don't think I will be going to another location anytime soon. I had the mix and match, veggies- only have onions and green bell peppers as well as the beef kabob which is pretty decent; also had the toubouli- don't care for the flavor that much, the pita bread- okay, the greek salad- average. Overall, decent but not out of this world. read more

Food is always delicious here, very fresh, the service is always great, the reason why it didn't get 5 stars is because I find the price a little high. Call me a bargain hunter, but I tend to eat at places that gives me a coupon! Today my husband and I needed to grab a quick meal since he was leaving on a business trip and was low on time. So wishing to be somewhat healthy, we decided on Daphne's. This place brings a small smile to my face since I spent one of my Valentine's there, before I was married. We both ordered the gyro plate, it came with two sides and he chose the Greek salad and hummus. We had a buy one get the next one 50% off. If you worked at Amgen and presented your badge, you'll get a discount too, I think ten percent? Anything is better than paying full price, that's what I think! read more

Daphne's - My delicious gyro plate with Greek salad and fire grilled vegetables. - Mediterranean Near Me - Thousand Oaks, California

BIGGEST RIP OFF! I got the family portion for my family of 5, the portions are so tiny two people can finish it. Not to mention the chicken was cold and seemed pre made. The lady in the front had an attitude when I told her. The portions are so tiny, they lie and scam you when they say it's for a family of four. We finished a whole plate of rice with just one kid. That's ridiculous, what a scam and a rip off read more

Delicious, healthy, excellent service, nice atmosphere and very clean. I rarely have time to stop and sit down to enjoy a meal but ai love Mediterranean cuisine and wanted something healthy and fast. Mediterranean Salad ticks all the boxes for exactly what I wanted. Satisfying and good for you?! Can't ask for more. I also returned when I saw Presto Pasta was closed permanently. I was so sad because initially I was going to go there, but I'm grateful these guys are here. I hope they don't disappear. I came here once before to pick up an order for a customer, and the service even from an Uber drivers perspective was better than any I've experienced. They offered me a water which I appreciated. And that's why I walked back in here because of the service I was shown. There are a lot of restaurants in this plaza but the service here is what makes it great along with the food. Don't skip this place! read more

Very small portion sizes dont waste your money. Looks like they had my last honest review removed.

Great restaurant, but the meat can tend to be dry. The flavor on the chicken is very tasty and the service is pretty quick. All in all, not bad for fast food ~ it's a nice change of pace to the usual fare. read more

We have come to this restaurant for years. You will not get better service or a more dedicated manager than Niko! He was not there tonight, unusual because he is always there. He deserves a night off! His staff greeted us with smiles and quick service. The have reduced their menu selection, but what's left is still great. Great price, bring your coupons, order anything on the menu and enjoy piping hot combo platters of Salmon or their Gyro's. The chicken lemon soup is wonderful. We have also ordered their party platters (catering menu) for 3 large parties held in our home to rave reviews. It is not high dining, but I gave it 5 stars for the best in it's class for tasty food, great service and at a very affordable price in a no frills setting. read more

Super disappointed with my last visit Wednesday. The girl who took the order was new and just have a couple of special requests (no tomato, pita on side) and the girl just couldn't get it. After several minutes of standing there we paid for our meals and waited...and waited...and waited...other people were also waiting...so when our food finally comes (we only ordered street tacos and cucumber salad) the order was wrong! So we send it back and this time it came pretty fast. The pita was super hard and the chicken was dry. So very disappointing. My friend and I have been coming here for years and this has never happened, so perhaps a bad day? All I know is there are lots of other places to choose from and next time we may go elsewhere. Note: manager here is very nice and was there that day, so pay attention to the details, being friendly will not keep you in business. read more

Food was delicious. Staff was really friendly as usual. Highly recommend anyone to go here

the restaurant is in a great location. Good food and healthy too. Prices are reasonable. I enjoyed everything!!! The fire feta is smooth and spicy. The grilled chicken is tender and always served hot with tasty rice and veggie. Falafel are delicious with hummus and greek salad. yummy!!! read more

Yummy food. Really nice people. Clean. Quick service. I recommend the mix and match plate with gyro meat and falafel. The fire feta and pita starter is also great. read more

Upon picking food, realized that while staff were likely instructed to wear masks, they were not doing so. Notably this was happening in the kitchen area during omicron. Also saw one of the food preparation staff eating in the kitchen area... read more

Yummmmy, was very happy, delicious, called ahead and ordered z as I'd went to pick up

Consistently good food! Whatever you order, be sure to add a bowl of Lemon Chicken soup!

Went to Daphne's tonight with my family along with what appeared to be all of Newbury Park. It was a super busy night. The owner greeted us and was very nice and helpful. There was a little bit of a wait to get our food but he was doing everything he could to get everyone's food out. He was cooking, bussing tables, passing out food. He apologized multiple times for the wait and gave us a basket of fries for waiting. Great food and excellent service. read more

I got the grilled salmon plate. Fish was not that great, smelled fishy, but the rice and veggies we're incredibly good. If the fish had been better they could have reached 5-star, but not on this dish. read more

Daphne's - Nice patio seating - Mediterranean Near Me - Thousand Oaks, California

This place is awesome! I have been here many times, because I work across the street, and it is always good. The staff is super nice, and the food is always amazing (I would recommend the gyro, shrimp, and fish especially) and the portion sizes are huge (at least, for me). The salad is also really good, and they give you an almost absurd amount of excellent rice, which is a great touch on an already fantastic experience. I also like their pita bread, and I rarely even like pita bread. They have a couple of great sauces, too, which is just icing on the cake. read more

Ordered the classic chicken pita combo with salad on the side. Chicken was fresh and combined with various different toppings. Definitely filling and would go back! Love that you get so much for just under $10. read more

I love this place!!! Best lentil soup I've ever had. I have never been disappointed here until recently, my wife and I had lunch and realized we could have ate at Lure Fish House for the same price. read more

I live in Camarillo and I make an effort to go get lunch at this Daphne's as often as I can because the food is spectacular and the staff is so genuinely nice and caring. Every time I come in, the employees are so accommodating. They always get my order right (even when I make it extremely difficult) and they always make sure I have everything I need/want. I don't even know how to express how wonderful this Daphne's is. To make things even better, they have fully gender neutral bathrooms which I think is fantastic. Having a gender neutral bathroom in a public place is one of the simplest things a business can do to make their guests feel more comfortable. All around, this location is great and I highly recommend it. read more

Very rude service. I'm here for the first time at the Newbury location. We were not greeted at all the girl at the counter was almost bothered by us even being there. I noticed a gentleman coming in for catering and there was an altercation over whether or not they would provide napkins and utensils to him. Like, shouldn't that be included?! After he left the same girl who took our order called him a guevon which means lazy and dumb in Spanish. She probably thought I didnt understand Spanish. And then every other word out of her mouth was f*** and I'm pretty sure the gentleman there was a manager, or at least higher ranking than her so I'm surprised he didnt say, "hey there are customers here". The food was fine, nothing great but due to the service I experienced I will not be supporting or visiting this restaurant again. read more

This place is completely incredible. I come here with my family every other week. The food is good and doesn't ever take too long. I love everything on the menu. The owner/manager (not sure if he's both) is amazing. He is so sweet, always get the orders out on time. Makes sure we are enjoying our food and definitely always has a smile on his face. Plus he remembers us! He makes this place worth coming to. Just beware when he's not around. I asked the kid working the register one day for no onions when the owner wasn't there that day and my pita came packed with onions... read more

I had to say I'm very impressed with the attitude and service provided by the young lady at the register. She has a great smile is full of energy and I'd hire her away in a heartbeat. Her product knowledge does not disappoint. You should really give her a raise and hope you're able to retain her as long as possible. Oh and the food is perfectly consistent tip top Americanized Mediterranean food read more

Great food, good prices. However, the young Asia cashier lacks focus and puts customers on hold and forgets to get back to them. I come here all the time and I am constantly having to repeat my order because the cashier is paying attention to something else. Not a huge deal just a tad bit annoying when I'm in a hurry. I understand the cashier is a young girl, she just needs more guidance and more supervision. read more

Good taste is very good. Portions are not very large though. We ordered the family meal which is supposed to serve 4. You can't all be too hungry though. But the taste made up for it. The baklava is outstanding. read more

Ordered a catering meal from DoorDash for 8 people and 2 sides of catering hummus- to be served family style. Received 8 separate boxes of mix and match entrees and 2 tiny sides of hummus. Meat was over cooked and chewy. Salad had onions when I requested no onions. I spoke on the phone with the Sunday morning manager and 2 different employees about the order. And still received something completely different. Terrible customer service and horrible experience. I DID NOT receive what I ordered and was overcharged. I'm not sure if it was the lack of communication between the management from am to pm or what I could have done to make it go more smoothly. read more

Daphne's - Mediterranean Near Me - Thousand Oaks, California

First of all I'll address the counter girl. The 20 something with the long black ponytail. She always seems annoyed when the customer steps up to order. This is how she always is!! The manager is great and truly seems to care. Get rid of this person she's killing business. Also my last steak salad I got was really poor. Aprox. 2 olives total if I added up the small pieces. The tomato was about a quarter slice, if I added all the wet little bits. And I'm being generous. Half the steak was uneatable full of fat. Also no red onion!! Also iceberg all the way. What the hell? I've ate there before and this wasn't a typical salad. Seemed like the jerk girl at the counter rubbed off on the cook. Don't think it was coincidental. Doubt I'll bother going back. read more

I don't think I have ever given 5 stars to a chain restaurant. However when I think about this place I realize that they do everything right. Niko has been there for as long as I can remember. He always makes sure we are happy with our order. My wife and I go here for lunch about once a week. Often Niko will surprise us with something special "on the house" I recall a rainy day last year when he drought over some soup to our table, just to warm things up. So, I have been to a couple of other Daphne's locations, and while they were all good, this one stands out as the best consistant quality and customer service. Niko and his crew make this place as good as it gets! read more

Oh you tasty Greek bastards. I love me some fire feta with pita bread and then a steak/chicken kabab combo. If you take high blood-pressure medication, you may want to avoid this place during the lunch hour rush! The guy at the cash register is crazy! He'll get your heart pumping, that's for sure! It is not a relaxing experience, you'll feel like a cow being hearded to the slaughter waiting in line. Then, once you get ready to order, BAM...you're hit right over the head by Mr. Hurry-up-and-order-and-I'm-going-to-grab-your-card-out-of-your-hand-you'd-think-I-was-The-Flash-but-no-I'm just-a-crazy-maniac-who-likes-to-scare-people. I had never had a catered party before, but as it was my 70th, I wanted a great one, and Daphne's delivered. The problem for me was what kind of menu I wanted as we had people from 12 years old to 86, vegeterians, meat eaters, light and heavy eaters, you name it. Daphne's Mediterranean Greek offerings were absolutely perfect in every way. So, we selected their standard dinner for 35 people, and vegeterian for 10 more. They brought EVERYTHING but drinks. The food was quite warm and very fresh. It included chicken and beef skewers, taboule, hummus, a ton of pita bread, an enormous Greek salad, about a gallon (or so it seemed) of tzatiki sauce, falafel balls, really tobust paper plates, napkins, and some gorgeous baklava. Most all of our guests raved about the food and they especially liked that is was Mediterranean and light on the tummy. The price was fair, and Nico and his staff were very helpful. Can't beat this for an outdoor summertime party! read more
