Cold brew
Nick C.

Visited Daphne's Diner for breakfast while visiting the area. It's a small old school diner. They have signs that say CASH ONLY, but i think they take credit cards now, though they do still have an ATM. It was pretty busy at 11am on a Sunday. We had to wait for a table. The staff is friendly and quick. I ordered the tater tot casserole and a cold brew. My wife got an egg platter with sausage and fries. Waitress said everything, including the cold brew was made from scratch, in house. I was surprised because most of the time i get "cold brew" at a diner, it's just old hot coffee on ice. This was legit cold brew and it was really good. The tater tot casserole was heavy with cheese, sausage, and bacon, but the bell pepper brightened the dish up nicely. Prices were pretty cheap, but it could just be cheaper overall in central NJ than northern NJ.

Had the most interesting sandwich here that made this diner stand out. inside of this pumpernickel bread perfectly toasted and buttered was a perfectly cooked egg with thick layers of fresh basil, fig jam, turkey bacon, sharp cheddar cheese, tomatoes and fresh blueberries. Show stopper! The coffee was really nice. But don't expect fast service here. The food needs time to savor anyway! I do not live close to this place but special trips are in order.

Great old school diner we found spontaneously today after exploring the Hindu Temple nearby (BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham). Great atmosphere, coffee and food! The servers were fun with lots of personality. This diner reminded me of the Bendix Diner near where we live ... but that place has closed, sadly. Glad we found Daphne's and we didn't go to some chain restaurant!

Daphne's is a small restaurant off of 130S. I stopped here on a Saturday morning around 10:30, and we were a party of 4 adults and 2 children. The space was very limited but they did their best to accommodate us. My server was a doll, very attentive , super positive and energetic she made my dining experience great. The kids had chocolate chip pancakes which my son loved and my niece had silver dollar pancakes. I had the lobster Benedict special with the quinoa hash, the Benedict's were ok I didn't taste the lobster but I saw the pieces. The hash was also ok I guess by the description I imagined it would taste different, they were under seasoned and the potatoes were plain. My mother ordered lemon blueberry and goat cheese pancakes which sound amazing but were also unimpressive. My brother ordered the skillet which came with tator tots sausage eggs and scallions. It was ok but was missing a sauce or something. Would I wait in line to eat here probably not but for a quick breakfast and good service I would return.

If you want delicious food served by incredible people, then this is a great place to swing by. I was driving from Virginia to New York and this was a halfway point off highway. I chatted with a lovely women behind the bar who kept my coffee hot at all times. The meal I had was tasty and the grilled corn muffin to finish it off was great. If I ever find myself in this area again I'll be sure to stop by! Tips are cash only so don't forget to tip the crew.

Daphne's Diner is conveniently located off Route 130 in Robbinsville New Jersey. This diner is open from 7 am-3 pm Wednesday through Sunday. Although the diner was small, there was a lot of parking available. I stopped by Daphne's Diner for breakfast on a Wednesday morning around 11 am. The diner had no wait time but had a solid breakfast crowd. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by the staff and directed to a table. The diner appeared well-maintained and very clean. I enjoyed the diner's vintage ambiance. The diner was well-decorated, which created a very friendly atmosphere. The menu had a huge selection of many different breakfast and lunch food options. I ended up ordering the Katelyn's Breakfast combo. This combo came with two pancakes, two eggs, two pieces of bacon, and two pieces of sausage. The price for all of this food was very reasonable and only ended up being around 13 dollars plus gratuity. The food came out very fast and everything was cooked perfectly. My food tasted delicious. Overall, I had a great experience at Daphne's Diner. The service was fast, our server was very attentive, prices were very reasonable, and all our food came out great. Daphne's Diner was great, I look forward to going there again.

My brother and I visited Daphne's on 3/20 at 9:30 am. Located by a busy road, parking was a little small but was not too busy when we arrived. We were immediately greeted by Serena who seated us right away and provided us with amazing coffee on the house. She was incredibly friendly and kept checking in on us and refilling our coffee. Daphne's was soundtracked by a classic rock playlist and some 80s jams. The seating wasn't enormous but it was plenty and it was not busy at all when we went. I ordered a buffalo chicken tender salad and was not disappointed at all. Our food came out in 12 minutes and I love how inviting the atmosphere was. The interior seemed to retain the old diner aesthetic with a lot of green decor to match the saint patty's day feel. Some of the tables had the old vintage diner decor - red and white color scheme reminiscent of the 50s. The locals seemed to be frequent visitors and there is something about Daphne's that brings such a familial feel. The smell of coffee, and the lively chatter brought a hint of nostalgia - almost like I was at grandma's house. I watched as the customers engaged in lively conversation with the waitresses and even told them that they would be back next week. There is a gluten free menu and tons of specials and menu options. The menu does run a little pricey but I am totally satisfied with how everything turned out. One thing to mention is I do think Daphne's is cash only so be prepared or use the atm in the diner. Will be back for more!

Perfect spot to stop on a road trip! Food was delicious, service was fabulous. Cash only. Interior is a little time capsule, really cute.

Small shop. Yummy food…read moreSimple layout. Nice assortment of joes tea! Ordered the grilled cheese and cheese steak as well as the curly fries

I love visiting eateries that remind me not to judge a book by its cover. Or a restaurant by its…read morerundown exterior and worn, no-nonsense decor. "This looks like a place I would come as a drunk college kid," my husband mused when we first stepped inside. True to his observations, the menu is rife with the kinds of deep fried goodies and artery-clogging sandwiches that are best meant for youthful bodies with optimal metabolism. We ordered a fun variety for ourselves - a meatball parm, a pound of buffalo wings, an order of curly fries, and - to balance things out - the harvest salad. For those ordering sandwiches, know that they're enormous. A half order is an 11" deal, while the whole is a Brobdingnagian 22". Our half sandwich was great, and definitely more than enough for us to share. We had few notes on anything we ordered. The curly fries were hot and crispy, the buffalo wings hot and tangy, and the meatball parm was just as expected. I was particularly surprised by the salad, which was just supposed to be a fresh and green counterpart to all the heavier foods. I would have been happy enough with some greens and a vinaigrette, but we had a pretty robust salad with blue cheese, chicken, and pieces of diced apple. I never would've expected to find a good salad at a place like this one, but there you go. There are a few high tables and stools, but little else by way of ambiance. Clearly, the focus here is to eat and clear out. That said, service at the counter was incredibly warm and friendly. As far as parking goes, there are a few spots out front and even a few more behind the building. I struggled with the number of stars here, because this isn't highbrow or fine dining. If that's what you're after, I'd definitely look elsewhere. But it's predictable, freshly prepared, and therefore perfect for a college town. If that's what you're expecting, this is your four-star spot.
