Daphne is exquisite!! The second you walk in you're greeted with a warm smile and breathe in the incredible scent of the spa (it really does smell amazing). I had the oxygen electro current facial, and I must say it was worth EVERY penny! Jade did such an incredible job, she addressed my specific skin concerns (clogged pores, fine lines, scarring), and took time to work on them as well as recommending future treatments based on my skin. I highly recommend the oxygen electro current facial, my face was literally glowing from within, and it looked lifted, incredibly supple and hydrated. My girlfriend suggested we come here before a wedding that we flew into NY for. It was my first time getting any sort of facial, but I loved it. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. With my eyes closed the whole time I didn't know what was happening or what I was smelling, but they explained everything as they applied and were very gentle. This place has become my little self-care oasis in the city. The ambiance is so relaxing, clean, and luxurious; the staff is so kind, trustworthy, and knowledgeable; and the results are better than any other place I have been. Jade has given me four Brazilian waxes and the lotus facial, and I could not be happier with the results. I went in with some scarring and ingrown hairs, and now they are completely gone. Jade makes me feel so comfortable and makes the sugaring process very enjoyable. Jade also gave me a recipe for a DIY exfoliante for the bikini area for brightening and to minimize ingrown hairs. She also recommends products that are within my price range, knowing I am on a budget but still want to take good care of my body and skin. Jade also recommended I start to get my underarms sugared, noticing the results of shaving has had on my skin. This has helped immensely- the hairs start to grown in thinner and softer about a week after getting sugared. I now get this done regularly. I most recently had a facial with Jade, and while it is on the pricier side, it is truly the most incredible spa experience I have ever had. She walked me through exactly what she was putting on my skin every step of the way, gave a wonderful massage with the perfect amount of pressure throughout the facial (even massages my arms and hands while one of the masks was drying!) and has left my skin hydrated, plump, and glowing! She is so knowledgeable about maintaining healthy skin and is just simply so good at what she does. I have found the investment so worth it and would recommend Daphne to everyone. read more

I started visiting Daphne when I moved here 2+ years ago and after my first visit my skin had improved drastically! The estheticians are super helpful and taught me how to properly take care of my skin and now I have less breakouts, clogs and my skin is noticeably less red and oily. I'm now hooked on Biologique Recherche products and use it exclusively. I see Julianna at the front desk when I am ready to buy my products. Microcurrent facials were originally medical grade treatments created and used to treat temporary or permanent facial paralysis in patients who have suffered from stroke or Bell's Palsy. I had Bell's palsy years and years ago. I suffer from minor residual side-effects from the temporary paralysis on the left side of my face. Those side effects are something that I notice every single day that make me incredibly self conscious. Due to other superficial benefits of microcurrent facials, like more youthful looking skin, they are more readily available for cosmetic purposes and not easily accessible, or affordable, for people like me, who seek it for rehabilitation purposes. THAT is why I am GRATEFUL for Spaweek and all of it's participating Spas, like DAPHNE. I booked an appointment with Anastasia, a knowledgable and INCREDIBLE esthetician at DAPHNE who was already familiar with Bell's Palsy and the origin of the Microcurrent facial. After carefully and attentively listening to my concerns, she adjusted the facial for me and within minutes of completion, I felt change in stimulation on the affected side of my face. For the following three days, I was very mildly sore, which is specific to me and the atrophied muscles in my face. I remember years ago, when I was recovering and regaining movement of my facial muscles months after losing movement of them, my face was so sore because I was healing. Needless to say, I was right! I have noticed a significant improvement in dexterity on the afflicted side of my face. This is not to say that Anastasia is a miracle worker! Anyone going to see her for a microcurrent facial should have realistic expectations. I will absolutely see her again and again, because these treatments take time to really make a difference, but I have had them before at different spas and I can honestly say that, Anastasia was by far, hands down, the best esthetician and DAPHNE has the best microcurrent machines I have ever had used on me. I decided to try Daphne for sugaring based on some Yelp reviews and a Groupon offer. My last place was good but super pricey and the atmosphere wasn't always inviting. After my appointment today, I'm so happy I gave Daphne a shot. The space is quaint and cleanly, they offered me tea and water, and best of all, they did not rush me even though I was a few minutes late. I received a Brazilian Sugaring today with Tora and the end result was clean and smooth. I hadn't sugared in a couple months and was extra jumpy. Tora was patient, pleasant, she talked me through everything. The Brazilian was done quickly and Tora did a FABULOUS job! My situation is now situated and super clean! This spa was lovely. It was small but pretty on the inside which made it feel luxurious. Anastasia was divine! So sweet and impeccable attention to detail. The only issues I had were 1: the walls in the place were all fake and do not reach the ceiling, which I know happens with limited space in NYC. A similar service at Skin Spa would be way less than half the price, and in a real, private, separate room. I did not like being able to hear the girl in the room next to me going into detail about her skin woes, and being able to see the blinding light coming out of a different room where I'm assuming a facial was taking place. For the price of the treatments, I want a private experience (this is the same reason I stopped going to HeyDay for my facials). Second, 2: they tell you how much tip to leave and watch you leave it, either in cash or on the card you pay with. I did the math, the tip was slightly over 18%. I was glad they didn't go straight to 20%, however a tip is exactly that: a TIP. It is NOT mandatory, it is customary (and yes, there is a difference) and I believe the custom is anywhere between 15-20% of the price of the treatment. I loved Anastasia and already planned to tip her well, but did not like being told how much to leave, and being watched to ensure I did indeed leave it. It's not right to demand a tip amount from customers, and for that reason I probably won't be back. In general, it's useful to know that there isn't a treatment on the menu that isn't a few hundred dollars. The teen facial (obviously only for teens) is $175. Anastasia was fantastic, but I would rather pay $120 for my usual fantastic facial at my other place, than over $300 here. read more

She did not try to push any product on me and focused more on tips that I could use to make my skin more hydrated. I LOVE Daphne. I booked a spa week sudatonic treatment with them, and it was excellent. Normally, I don't believe in quick-fix solutions when it comes to slimming/weight loss/cellulite reduction, but I know the French swear by sudatonic treatments (I just came back from a year in Paris) so I thought I'd give it a go, with the spa week price point and all. I got there around 30 min LATE, but both Tora and the front desk receptionist (forgot her name...she's lovely, as well!) were extremely good natured about it and I still received the full treatment time. Tora gave me my treatment. She's super professional and good-natured. She thoroughly explained the process, which I appreciated. Results: I am very happy with the results. I do feel like my skin is a lot softer and smoother in texture, which surprised me, as I figured it would take a few treatments to notice a difference. Tempted to book another sudatonic while the spa week promotional price is still valid...hehe. Also, the french bougie princess in me knew immediately that this place is legit when they served me badoit sparkling water. Keep that perrier/san pellegrino mess lol. Only little critique would be that the space is a little small, but understandable considering the location (Little Italy/Nolita). Def planning to come back for another sudatonic and/or to try the facials. Conclusion: 5/5. A little pricey w/ non-promotional prices, but totally worth it! read more

The salon is very clean and professional and of course their line of BR products is the best. I've tried a few different facials and I walk out looking like a million bucks. The first woman I had literally burned my face with acid (p50) because she did not ask if I was currently using it or if it was ok for her to put it on my face. Woke up the next morning with a painful red burn all over my face and chest with small bumps. When I called customer service they were EXTREMELY helpful and offered to give me a soothing facial to try to calm it down. Yulia was extremely helpful and thorough in explaining what she was putting on my face and how it would help... Unfortunately 6 days later and my skin still looks worse than it did before the facial. read more

Not being familiar with salons in the Nolita area of Manhattan, I hopped onto Yelp and decided to give Daphne a try, based on a few positive reviews. I was able to walk in and receive service right away. I quickly found that Daphne has only been open a short period of time -- but they sure knew what they were doing! Agnes was my esthetician and she did a lovely job. While I've had quite a few facials, I still appreciated that Agnes explained everything she was doing -- and every product she was using. She is clearly a professional. I also liked that she did not push to sell me a lot of products. Rather, she gently suggested a couple of items she recommended, based on having worked on my face for 90 minutes. I felt no pressure.
