Took my kids here on a Saturday and it was packed! We were greeted and the lines moved quickly. The place is big and clean. Some tables are worn and wobbly but there is seating. There's also a coloring table for kids and a play kitchen which I think is nice. They have areas for cool photo ops. There was also someone there selling sourdough bread, which was cool. We bought some of that. At the counter we ordered the milkshake flight and 2 kids cones. I also go the limeade. Everything was tasty! My only critique is 3/4 of the milkshakes on the flight were chocolate based/had chocolate so I recommend adding another non-chocolate option. They were still good and filling. I shared the flight with 2 other ppl. It definitely would've been too much for one person. This was a nice escape from the heat that didn't entail chasing kids around an overstimulating play area lol

Don't miss the turn into the Danzeisen Dairy driveway! It's a no thrills ice cream parlor with the creamiest ice creams and best varieties of local milk. Everything from root beer milk, to strawberry, and they even have brewed coffee ready for your fridge. I'm intrigued by their decadent over the top milkshakes. The table next to us got one and it looked amazing. A great sweet treat to indulge in. I tried their cake batter ice cream in a cake cone. A simple taster that hooked me onto supporting Danzeisen Dairy forever.

Such a cute spot. Already a huge fan of milk you can get from the big box stores. But after coming here and chatting with Julia & Adriean I will definitely be making the drive here more often. The two ladies were very informative & so kind. Amazing service.

My first visit to check out the creamery store and it was lovely! The staff was friendly, it's nicely decorated with plenty of seating. You can taste the milk and ice creams. I'll definitely make another trip out there!

Purely and simply the best damned dairy products I've ever enjoyed! The flavor is just different it's better. I cannot express how great their products are.

Thanks to the Instagram account I cannot remember, I get to try out this dairy in the middle of nowhere in Laveen. Conveniently located near the 202, I had no choice (lolll!!!) but to make a stop on the way home after a long tough day at work. It was only Monday, so I wanted something sweet to heal my heart, mind, and soul. Love the accommodations (I asked for my shake half dine-in, half to-go) and the staff members were so patient with me when I was deciding what to get. Not looking forward to the next rough work day, but would love to come back soon for some sweet pick-me-up!!

First the I went to the dairy store, I was given a crate to carry all my bottles in. I bring it back with my empty bottles every trip

Over the years we've used various Danzeisen items.. usually the specialty milks. But we stopped drinking milk and switched to heavy cream over 2 years ago. On a quest to find cleaner minimal ingredient heavy cream for our fatty coffee and cooking needs, I rediscovered Danzeisen again. But usually the local stores would be out of stock or the expiration date is a day or two out. Enter my first trip to the dairy store to get heavy cream about 2 months ago. Everybody inside the store is super friendly and helpful. My HC is almost always in stock. But I still call ahead before making the drive. And I can get a free cup of coffee from the little coffee bar with milk and creamer in the fridge next to it! If we used HC infrequently, I'd just purchase Danzeisen from the grocery store. But I buy, at minimum, 6 pints each trip, depending on the expiration date. And a pint of HC from the dairy store is $4.99 (plus bottle deposit). The savings per bottle alone is worth the 25 minute drive each way for me every few weeks. :D

Love this local ice cream stop! Simple space with indoor seating. Great staff. Love all the local items for purchase! You can't go wrong with anything you order!

Can only say this place is amazing. They serve ice cream they make in house, sell glass bottles of fresh milk and you can ask for samples. We bought small bottles of chocolate and strawberry milk to try and also a quart size bottle of coffee milk. Amazing stuff! We ordered 2 scoops of strawberry ice cream on a cake cone, big servings, it's worth the $7.95 a waffle cone will add $1. Cute inside with an old milk truck and a play area for the kiddos. Ladies at the counter work very efficiently together and was getting orders out quickly. Love this, I'll be back.

Went to Danzeisen Dairy to learn how to make butter. It was so fun. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the store was clean inviting. During the class I made garlic herb butter. Afterwards, I bought a jug of strawberry milk and chocolate milk (my kiddos loved them both!). We also had a chocolate shake which hit the spot on my long drive home! Highly recommend making the drive to Laveen to check out this place!

It's so nice to find a place that still has that hometown community feel. Great milkshakes and root beer floats. Nice seating area with a full sized milk truck you can sit in and even several baskets of toys in the corner and a coloring station.

Danzeisen Dairy has been serving the community for decades -- and in the past years they've continued to add new items to their menu. I stopped by for a quick little treat and had an ice cream cone. I tried both the chocolate and the strawberry and both were delicious and fresh. Danzeisen offers quality products you can trust!

A must-go for Phoenix and the west valley. Great ice cream from a multi-generational family dairy farm. It's cool to see the old milk truck inside and read about their history. They also have a creative milkshake menu and also sell different flavors of milk and juice by the gallon. And it's all local, the dairy farm itself is down by Maricopa.

If you are not familiar with a CSA and how it work, here's a down and dirty explanation. You pay a certain amount of money in advance for several months of veggies each week. In this case, Maya's farm charges about $300 for 12 weeks of a whole heck of a lot of veggies that are certified organic. You support your local farmers and you know where your food is coming from. I recommend that you swing by the farm and take a stroll around. You might see Maya. I've met her and I think she's a very nice person. You just have to keep your eyes open…read more I stumbled on this wonderful little patch of heaven while I was on the "Arcadia 9th Edible Garden Tour." It was one of the scheduled stops on the garden map. I had no idea what a treat we were in for as we pulled up to what appeared to be an ordinary one-story quiet neighborhood house. Getting out of the car we realized that this was no ordinary front yard. Yes, it had a small wooden rail fence around it. But behind that fence there was no traditional landscaping, no hedges, no grass, no manicured flower beds. There were rows of beans and corn and tomatoes and peppers! As we walked through the carport to the back, we entered a delightful sun room filled with baskets of fresh produce - all freshly picked and, of course, for sale. (Yep, I bought a few small fresh green items to supplement my salad already in the refrigerator at home.) The back yard was more of a delight than the front. Raised beds. Veggies and flowers. And, yes, there was some grass . . . . but most of all it was a miniature oasis of a farm from my childhood. There were chickens and goats, who all seemed somewhat nonchalant about city dwellers stumbling through their little bit of heaven. It's well lit at night we go around 5 stay till closing. Even our grown up college kids ask when are we going to the farm. Hard to post pic without our family in them. Lots of tree house things for kids to crawl up and slide down. Great memories are created here. I highly recommend this farm. We've been to a few other farms and they aren't as fun or organized with employees who care. Bonus is it's clean. Plus the cost is very good in comparison.

One of these efforts is this community and urban incubator farm which was established by Cultivate South Phoenix (CUSP) to give residents of South Phoenix affordable access to healthy food while encouraging them to appreciate active living and healthy roots of their cultures. At the Saturday farmer's market you can get very locally grown produce and craft items while taking in the cultural performances of local talents. The site of Spaces of Opportunity includes a 10-acre incubator farm where quarter-acre to one-acre plots of land are made available with a preference to farmers who are part of the South Phoenix community and who have limited resources. Also, community members can rent a plot to plant, grow and harvest produce for their own use or to share with others - and the rental fee is an super-affordable $5 a month! I love that here I was able to get fresh locally grown produce as well as craft items to be given as presents and in so doing I celebrate the culture and encourage the efforts of South Phoenix gardeners, farmers and farm workers.

Now over a year into this pandemic, Arizona Microgreens has stood the test of time as one of the few consistent spots still selling them with zero decrease in quality. I'm pretty simple - pea sprouts and arugula are usually my go-tos. But all of their stuff is incredibly clean - both literally and in taste. You get a lot for what you order. And I love the fact that you can order online and pickup straight from their greenhouse in the middle of the week. They're so good that I can get my little brother to wolf down their broccoli greens without even asking what it is. If that's not a ringing endorsement, I don't know what is.

I eat them raw with my salads but they can be utilized in many different types of dishes.
