Love that they sent the report via text so I could take some time to review and discuss with my husband. I also think the price is fair (checked with AI and it always fits the range for the service). Special thanks to Scott for staying late so I could pick my car up before the weekend! Appreciate you!! Highly recommend. P.S. location is so convenient, too. AVOID DANVILLE AUTO CENTER AT ALL COSTS…read more I don't usually leave reviews, but what happened here was so outrageous that people deserve to know. My girlfriend brought her car here after it died while parking. She told them up front it was likely the battery (which they had just replaced), the alternator, or a loose wire. Pretty straightforward, right? Wrong. From there, it was a nightmare: * They refused to return her calls. She was the actual owner of the car, yet they completely ignored her and would only speak to me. * They dragged the repair out over three full days while dodging updates. * When they finally claimed it was just a loose wire, they quoted us over $500, apparently because they charge $250/hr just to "diagnose." * When we picked the car up, the passenger side window no longer worked, even though it was fine before. And the worst part? When we confronted Shawn (the owner) about all of this, he laughed in our faces, interrupted us, and treated us like we were the problem. When my girlfriend left, they actually called her a "f**ing b****." I confronted Shawn, and he admitted it--but said he was talking about her and not me. As if that somehow makes it okay. This wasn't just bad service. This was open disrespect. The way they dismissed and insulted my girlfriend made it clear they were trying to take advantage of her because she's a woman. If you value your money, your car, or even just basic human decency, stay far, far away from Danville Auto Center.

I can't say enough good things about Old Town Auto and especially Alex. From the very first…read moreinteraction, Alex was incredibly honest, transparent, and responsive--qualities that are unfortunately hard to find these days in auto repair. I had received a quote from a competing shop in Danville that was literally three times the cost, with very little explanation. Alex took the time to walk me through exactly what was needed, what wasn't needed, and why. Alex's integrity really stood out; it's obvious he values long-term relationships over quick profits. That level of transparency and professionalism immediately builds trust. If you're looking for a mechanic who is honest, ethical, fairly priced, and genuinely cares about doing quality work, Old Town Auto is the place. I won't take my car anywhere else, and I highly recommend Alex to anyone who wants peace of mind when it comes to auto repairs.

The headlights took an extra day since the car is a euro and the parts needed to be ordered. The place is busy and full of cars! Definitely go in early or call to see when the best time is to get your service done. I was looking at the low star reviews.... Be realistic with your expectations when bringing in your car. If you have a unique problem, chances are it's going to take longer than you would want it to take to get it fixed. Otherwise just go to the dealer to get it fixed and pay dealer rates/prices. All in all, Vinh's pretty straightforward and honest about the labor and parts. Definitely recommending the shop to all my friends!

I've been going to AutoTECH for several years, and the last time I went there, I felt that the…read moreestimate / cost for the service was highly inflated. This is frustrating because I don't have visibility into the labor hours and parts costs which are required to complete a job, and it seems that their estimates are very high for standard jobs like replacing spark plugs ($1900) and water pump / timing belt ($1800). Highly recommend to others that they shop around.
